The composer himself describes this as 9/4, broken down as 5/4 + 4/4 alternating.

Personally I sometimes hear the division as more like 7+11 but that is clearly not where the accent is even if there’s hits that could imply it ahaha, I just hear it that way until more stuff comes in to more clearly define that 5+4 feeling for some reason.
