The Ruby of the Sea (Marion Lavorre, mother of Jester)
I've been struggling for a while with switching over to Photoshop for painting, so I decided to follow some Udemy courses to get used to the different functions and shortcuts. This was my result from one of @austinbatchart 's courses--"Photorealistic Digital Painting From Beginner To Advanced". (I decided to take inspiration from the original bullfrog-dragon concept and make my own design based on a white's tree frog/axolotl.) I learned some great texturing techniques and feel much more comfortable with my tools!
Also, I just love how this thing came out. (I call it my Phibigon.) What lies behind those bulbous pupils: The wisdom of the universe? A dial-up tone? Who can say.

Starting with Dove, because she's the character I always circle back to.
Upon reaching a new town, normal people might seek out a room at an inn; Serenia prefers to save some coin by persuading drunken bar patrons to invite her back to their unoccupied homes. Well, maybe they weren't technically unoccupied before she got there, but a house is considered available if no one is... living in it, right? 🔪🏠☠
