The night is cold and on the outside quiet, like so many before it. Since the ban, there’s such a lull in excitement unless there’s a new picture or a performer on at night. Yet, beneath this veneer lies pounding music and booze brewed in cellars or smuggled from abroad. It is one of these many speakeasy’s that Hux is making his way towards, broadcoat making his thin body appear larger and hat covering his shock of red hair - the only give away to his Irish roots. Even then, he’s dwarfed by the man next to him. Hux doesn’t understand why they’ve been paired together. Sending a message to a rival is a one man job. Does the boss not trust him? Or is he sizing up the heir to the east-side gang. That’s a lot of territory, a lot of power. Hux was not dragged up through the gutters to the place he is now to be denied such a shot, immigrant heritage be damned. “ I assume you’ve brought the tommy?“ He asks Ren, the hulking beast of a gangster, the obvious muscle. Hux has no time for such broad weapons, only carries two colt’s. “Remember to stay by the door till I give you a signal. Don’t jump the fucking gun this time, we can’t afford witnesses,”

With successful parents like his, Kylo was given the privilege he to live a softy cushiony life if he had wished.  It was such a shame that he decided to use that for wrong instead. He could have of been trying to rid the streets of crime or helping out starving children but instead was sitting in a smoke filled speakeasy, filled with nothing but bad intentions. When he had been addressed Kylo half tempted to roll his eyes. Instead he simply cracked open the instrument case he had brought with him, just enough to allow the man beside him to peak inside. His next statement however, had caused a huff to leave his lips. Even though he was notorious for his hair triggered temper he knew better then to do something foolish like that. “ Goddammit, what kind of a fool do you think I am? “ he hissed under his breath, careful not to draw any attention to either of them.

“Hey kylo I need your advice on something. Should I get the red bow with black lace or the black bow with a little skull?” Misa loved the bows at hot topic and wanted to get an outsiders opinion. “I have this huge event coming up And I want something to match this cute dress I have. I was also thinking some deep Red lipstick but what shade?” The girl spotted a black lipstick on the shelf and quickly grabbed it. “ oh look this one matches your hair!”

Kylo’s shift had been rough from the start and the headache that he had woken up with didn’t seem to be helping either. As soon as he heard the familiar voice the tall male nearly cringed. He dreaded anytime Misa came in the store. Kylo didn’t even hide his obvious disinterest as she began to babble. “ I don’t know why don’t you go with whichever your heart desires. “ he quipped back sarcastically. Kylo winched back when she stuck the lipstick in his face as a frown quickly fell on his lips. “ That’s great... “ he replied shaking his head.

Whatever small scrap of sympathy Hux may have previously felt for upsetting Kylo was dashed in an instant. The frown on his face deepened, expression soured and he shoved Ren off him again. Usually, he kept such a cool composure, but that was becoming increasingly difficult the more he was pulled and touched. “If you touch me one more time, or call me anything but Hux, I will break your nose,“

Kylo winced at the threat and immediately shoved his hands into his pockets. “ Sorry… “ he replied quickly. His dark eyes shifted over to him and a cheeky smile quickly fell on to his lips. “ You look really handsome, right now. “ he admitted.

Even though it might have seemed like a bit forward, Wednesday was just trying to do something sweet and unexpected to cheer up the other’s day. A bit nervous she entered the familiar store, carrying a basket of candy and cupcakes. A timid smile graced her lips the moment she approached Kylo, gently tapping his shoulder. “ Um… hi! I hope you don’t mind me showing up unexpectedly, I was just thinking about you and decided to make you these. It’s okay if you don’t want them though, I know not everyone likes sweets. I just really wanted to stop by and see how you were doing. ”

As Kylo spun around he was quickly shocked by who it was he was looking at. She wasn’t anything like the way she was when he had last seen her. She was far more..peppy. He looked at the basket full of treats, before focusing his gaze on her. While it was all very strange he was never one to turn down sweets. “ Uh... thanks. “ he replied, unsure how to even react.

“Kylo Ren?” A look of disbelief was etched across Rey’s face as her gaze glanced upon the other. “What’s that saying… – oh how the mighty have fallen? You look weak. For once your true colors are showing. You and I could have been something great, but there’s a reason I’m the Supreme Leader now and you’re not.”

The expression that Kylo wore was a mixture of offense and confusion. “ Weak? “ he repeated, clearly not pleased by the statement. “ What the fuck are you even  talking about? “ he asked, out of confusion.

“Because we have a mutual loathing,“ Which is how Hux see’s it anyways, and he doesn’t dare open his mouth again for fear of what might come out. Watching the other’s face fall however, his movements, make Hux want to stop it. Hux justifies this to himself by thinking this is just a strange situation - the sooner he deals with it, the sooner they can go back to normal. “You thought wrong. I’ll take them though,” The redhead pauses for a moment. “Thanks?”

His rambling was quickly cut short by Hux’s explanation. “ Mutual Loathing? “ Kylo repeats, before letting out a surprisingly gleeful chuckle. “ I don’t hate you Huxypoo! Quiet the opposite actually. “ he confessed, while throwing his arm around his shoulder. His dark eyes were quickly filled with joy when he had thanked him. “ Anything for you, baby! “ he gushed before, pulling him closer to him.

“It’s difficult to be so critical of you when you’re being…nice to me,“ The lack of filter he seemed to have today was embarassing to say the least, his cheeks colouring red. Hux didn’t actually like chocolate, didn’t eat it much either but, the look on Ren’s face. Eager, no, wanting a positive answer like a puppy. “You’re not ill are you?” Because today was turning out very strange, and the one constant in his life, their bickering, had also been erased. “I generally don’t like chocolates. You haven’t tampered with these? Put hair dye or spit in them or- something,”

His hopeful expression had quickly melted into a some what heartbroken one. “ Of course not, why would I do that? “ he asked softly. He ran his fingers through his dark locks before quickly fretting. “ Oh god, you don’t like them do you? I’m sorry I just thought that.. “

For once Sally had actually been excited to come to work. It was though a switch had been flipped and her hatred for her boss had been suddenly replaced with fondness. As a result, she greeted the tall male kindly, and when the offer of taking the day off was made, she shook her head. “While I appreciate it, I’d rather stay.” There was a long line after all.

Quickly he shook his head in protest. “ No no, I insist. You deserve a day off. Go and hang out with your friends or whatever, I have this under control. “ he promised her. Almost immediately after, one of the customers in line had growled at Kylo to speed it up. Instead of retorting he quickly gave them a reassuring smile and told them that he’d be with them shortly.

Being touched by another person was a daunting thought - nobody ever laid a hand on Hux unless he wanted them to. The sudden rush of it all at once, an affectionate kiss on the cheek and arms around him caused the redhead to stiffen. It only became much worse when he realised that it was Ren. “What the fuck!“ Losing composure fast, Hux battled his way out of the embrace only to think about - “You’re warm,” Why did he say that?

Kylo had ignored any signs of protest and quickly popped up in front of him to make his presence known. “ I got you something. “ he chimed out before holding out the box of chocolates that he had bought. his smile faded a bit, “ Do you like them? “ he asked eager for an answer.

The tall male had been carrying around a large box of chocolates in his hands, while a goofy grin had rested on his lips. He found himself in luck when he spotted the recipient of the chocolates standing across the way. Sneaking up behind Hux, Kylo quickly pressed his lips up to his cheek, before lovingly wrapping his arms around him. “ Hey handsome. “ he purred out.

Kylo had been in a great mood, smiling brightly at every single person that had walked into the store. When he spotted sally walk in his already large grin widened. “ Sally! “ he greeted her. “ Just the person I needed to talk to. You know, you always work real hard so I’m letting you have the day off. I can handle everything on my own. “ he promised her, despite the long line off people waiting to be checked out.

“ Somebody call the ambulance cause you just took my breath away. “

This had to be a dream… not only was she in a strange place but she was suddenly seeing a face she never expected to see in front of her (doing everything in her power to make sure their force connectgion wouldn’t bring them together). The last time they had seen each other hadn’t been the happiest of moments and caused her to feel a faint aching in her chest. When she saw him all she was faced with was were own failure, failure to convince him to turn to the light that still lingered inside of him. “Ben? You’re not really here are you?” It was surprising that she even found the courage to speak at this point.

His dark eyes scanned over the girl silently, taking in her words. She was using that name again, he may have let before but now he just wished that she would stop. “ No, This is real. “ he stated boldly. He took a step towards to almost as if it would prove that he was in fact there in that very moment. There was another short period of silence in between them before he piped up again. “ You’re thinking about the last time we met... when you thought you could bring me back to the light. ”  he didn’t even have to read her thoughts to know that.
