Imagine finding out you have 90 minutes to tie up a love story that's developed over thousands of years. You create something beautifully in character and completely on point for the plot. You pay homage to the original writer's legacy in a fitting and poetic way and create an ending that not only shows the depth of two people's love for each other but the wider love they have for the thing that brought them together in the first place.

And then you go online to find the loudest outcry is that everyone hates it and "THEY DIDN'T EVEN KISS!"

I feel sorry for people who didn't get anything out of that stunning finale.

cardan needs to be a boy dad. and it has to be a boy, not a girl, because a girl would be like jude, but a boy would remind him of himself. a child as vulnerable and pure and in need of love as he was. i think that being in the same position that balekin and dain once were and having the oportunity to do what they did, but choosing to do different would heal something very deep inside of in him. one day after putting his baby boy to sleep he would whispery confess to jude that "i've always been taught that i was unlovable, but he's so much like me... and loving him is so easy".

The silliest thing I find about this whole "they only got 30 years together in the end with no memories of their shared history so what was the point" is that EVERYONE THINKS THEY ONLY MET EACH OTHER IN THIS ONE SINGULAR LIFETIME REALITY instead of my immediate thought that as its architects, Aziraphale and Crowley were wound so deep into the fabric of the new universe that there is a version of them finding each other and falling in love every single generation for billions and billions of years??????
