the most infuriating thing about personal growth is that even if someone else did have the answer you needed and conveyed it to you in a precise and effective matter, it won't make sense until you're ready for it. you could hear it every day of your life and it wouldn't matter a fucking bit until it finally clicks. there's very little you can do to influence when that happens, either

#literally going thru this right now but at the price of one of my most amazing friendships i've probably ever experienced #this has been the longest most excruciating form of 'personal growth' ever and it's eating me alive #but also #i'm learning so much out of it... little by little #acknowledging the things that simply didn't work and how unfortunately unhealthy our friendship was because of how it developed...#it stings thinking about it because i wish we could've met at a different point in our lives #when i wasn't so desperate and deeply insecure- afraid to communicate when i needed to... and easily prone to jealousy #i've never met someone so supportive..#perhaps we were both good for each other during that specific time #just barely after the pandemic n all that... yknow? i think we both needed company #and that's okay #i miss them dearly and wish them nothing but love and happiness #i'm sorry #but also thank you so much for entering my life and always cheering me on and wanting nothing but the best for me

If it was possible to like work part time and afford a place on your own anywhere it would change everything like the lives that would flourish the art that would be getting made the ideas and love and beauty that would be expressed it would change the world and they don’t want that….
