eric bout’ to prepare for the biggest whip of his life

Imagine early mornings with Eric Burdon. You would wake up in bed together and Eric would smile at you, still practically asleep. He usually wanted to stay in bed, and he would. He’d lazily reach over and drape an arm around you, wanting you to come closer. “Go back to sleep” he’d half whine, half laugh. You’d oblidge, because you didn’t want to get up either. You’d scoot closer and place a small kiss on his forehead or his chest, whichever was closer. This earned a bit of a sleepy laugh or smile from Eric before he fell back asleep. Sometimes you would go back to sleep too, other times, you would just watch him. He was so calm and peaceful when he was alseep and it just made you so happy to have him there. When you finally get out of bed, the two of you would brush your teeth and make breakfast together with records playing in the background. (Sometimes you would make a mess or dance and get distracted, burning the food.) But they were some of your favorite times together, burnt food, mess and all.

I was watching this video of Alan and Bob Dylan talking about Donovan and Alan has such a cute voice. Like I don’t know if I’m just being weird but I could listen to it all day.
