I'm the author of For the Thrill of It (FTTOI) on AO3, a funnybunny human AU!

I made this Tumblr to interact with you all, and it's really helped me stay motivated! I have a tendency to hyperfixate on new hobbies (this is my first fanfic, hehe) and get sick of them anywhere from a couple of weeks to about six months. However, so far, asks and comments have done a great job at helping keep me going!

While my AU directly borrows designs from @chubs-deuce's and @munchiemooz's Aftershow AU (thank you guys!), they are separate AUs that characterize Jax/Felix and Pomni/Christine very differently.

I'm not very fluent in English, so I'm writing this with a translator, but I'm really curious about how you come up with the plot for each chapter and the (intimate) actions in each chapter. for the plot, i just kind of wrote what i thought might happen in canon IF it was an alternate universe where they fucked literally every week! it's been super fun lol!

as for the sex scenes, genuinely I'm just really imaginative and uhhh can be horny sometimes fhdjskfssdhkdshk. i've also been very inspired by other fanfictions for like years so, lots of the ideas have come from many different stories ive read over the years!

in terms of what inspired me to write, i really don't know lol! i just love this show, and i thought that pomni and jax's dynamic was so unique and so compelling! i also think jax is hot but that's neither here nor there. i had read lots of other tadc fics that i loved, and i've had an idea of like... a fwb dom/sub sex arrangement for like a while, and i thought it would fit perfectly with funnybunny! i wanted more dom jax as well, i feel like i couldn't get enough because i'm a chud /j

i think the number one thing for me was just the sheer amount of other fanfics i've read. it really helped me understand which tropes i like, which writing povs i enjoy, and how i like my dialogue!

in terms of how i come up with uhhh scenes... i just have lots of personal ideas LOL. also just like, these characters mean so much to me and i really like to make sure their thoughts and actions make sense for the situations i put them into, it really means a lot to me!

Hiya!

The new chapter was DELICIOUS as always! I adoreee the ending so much, and i literally just remembered how Jax and Pomni stargazed in episode 5. So that was an AMAZING parallel that I love so so much. (Probably because it’s my favorite funnybunny moment from the show lol)

Also…😏 go Christine with her little crush-crisis -realization. Looking forward to seeing the future development of their relationship. 💋?

The plot for this chapter was SOOO good! I was on the edge of my seat the entire time I was reading it. I’m so glad we got to see Felix opening up to Christine, same with showing his DEEP emotions for once. I cannot wait for the next chapter, and to see what new plot stuff unfolds!

I just wanna say again, I LOVE LOVE LOVE your work! It never fails to impress me! You’re such a good writer, I almost forget that I’m reading fanfiction and not an actual book lol.

i know the finale was kind of polarizing, since some people loved it and some people hated it, but i honestly really liked it! it wasn't perfect but i left the theater with a bittersweet feeling that i think matched the series very well. in my humble opinion!

lowkey, idk if this makes sense because like the episode was not about her really that much, but the finale really made me appreciate ragatha so much more. she was so close to being like jax, to isolating herself. she even told pomni that she thought it should've been her. but she DID reach out, she did confide in her friends, and that's the difference here. i really really enjoy the jax/ragatha parallels and just UGHHH so delicious. the scene with her and pomni after jax abstracts was just omg so emotional!

i love pomni i always have and i always will, she's my girl and she was NOT scared of jax's abstracted form she jumped right into that shit im obsessed she's just so HFJKDSHFKJS

i also really enjoyed the trans jax headcanon, it's really cool to see a representation of someone pre-transition like this. i likes how goose made space for people who knew they were different but weren't ready to be out yet! i loved seeing all the t-fem jax art afterwards, SO STINKING CUTE OMG!

in terms of writing my own fic, it was a bit hard to reconcile for me, just because i write fanfiction where jax is a cisgender man, and since sticking to canon is important to me, it was hard to make that break from the canonical story after the finale so i could keep writing fttoi, but i think i'm doing it justice!

but yeah, if it wasn't clear, i'll be keeping felix as a cisgender man and referring to him as he/him for my fic. i think it would be disingenuous to add in an entire subplot of him being trans when i had no intention of adding that in the first place, it would come out of left field and it's just not how I envisioned the story!

anyways, all in all i really liked it! i'm gonna miss this show, and i hope you all stay with me on this journey post-canon and keep supporting fttoi! but no pressure hehe

my personal headcanon for FTTOI is that felix doesn't have a car not just because he probably can't afford it but because he straight up can't drive and doesn't even have a license

him driving chrissy to the hospital?

I LOVE this headcanon, honestly i didn't even think about it, but i think hes for SURE too lazy to renew his license especially since he canonically (fttoi canon, that is) doesn't have a car. i think he learned to drive with his family, as he had lots of younger siblings that his parents would expect him to help drive around, but it's been YEARS, so he was likely rusty as all hell lol!

But truth be told I’m a major fan of BDSM writings, it’s why i’ve started your fanfic, but over time i’ve fallen in love with it, the writing, the way they share minor similarities to Jax and Pomni, you somehow managed to perfectly describe how I think they would be after the circus. in terms of more extreme kinks, i'm gonna have to say... it depends? i don't think i'll go THAT extreme. I'm still deciding if i want to include choking since it's technically unsafe no matter where you put your hands around someone's neck. i likely wont have knife-play, and if i was gonna do human furniture, it would likely be more subtle. i am planning on having some primal play, chasing, another public chapter (whoops), and some more bondage in general, if that helps!
