Lemonade

Oh lemons! How did I get here? God damn! My mind is a fuzz. This is all sus. What is this place?

I went to the kitchen. Something hit my head, Then I found a lemon on the floor. I barely lift my head, Then here comes more.

What else could I do? I picked everything up Like they didn't hurt me. Sliced, diced, gave it a squeeze Until breath is just a wheeze.

Half of a pitcher, Is this all? No sugar, I take a shot. I wonder if this is good for my gut. Fuck it! I don't care.

I let myself indulge, Not only on its juice, but also its purée. I have to choose This or cherry seeds— This is all I have.

Candles flicker, dreams take flight, A canvas brightens in soft twilight. Gathered hearts in a circle wide, Sharing stories, with arms open wide.

Wishes carried on a gentle breeze, Promises wrapped in sweet memories. A symphony of voices, a radiant glow, A celebration of life, in ebb and flow.

Time’s embrace, a tender sigh, As seasons shift in the endless sky. A day to cherish, to love, to hold, In the warmth of togetherness, stories unfold.
