Six flags with this guy! <3 My phone camera is the worst btw -.- (at Six Flags Vallejo, Ca)
Reno Trip... again!
TL;DR went to Reno with Josh's family, Sylvia won $5k from the casino, Josh won $120 and took me shopping, was more fun than last time!
So earlier this year Josh's family and I went to Reno and stayed at the Circus Circus Hotel and Casino. A few days ago Josh's dad asked us if we had any plans for this weekend, and luckily we didn't! Apparently he found a deal on Groupon so they invited us to come with them and this time we'll be staying at Silver Legacy - the hotel right next to Circus Circus, just a little fancier.
The drive was nice, 2 hours and 15 minutes more or less. Josh and I arrived two hours earlier than the rest of the party so we ate at Cafe Americana to kill some time (and we were really hungry, too).
I got the Pizza Margherita and he the Philly Steak burger. It was actually pretty cheap compared to the restaurants in the hotel/casino.
We walked around a little more until his family arrived. While we were checking in, there was a lady walking around offering champagne to everyone and only Josh and his parents were able to enjoy the drink (because age < 21)
We were supposed to have four single rooms, but the guy who checked us in were from the same hometown as Josh's family and he upgraded our rooms for free! Ain't that nice? :D Our room was on the 27th floor and there were two sets of elevator in the lobby, one for floors 1-25, one for floors 26-50 so of course we used the latter set. Our elevator only had the buttons L (lobby), 4 (pool/spa) and 26, 27, 28 so on and so forth. It was really funny because you can see on the elevator LED it goes: L... 4... 26... 27... It took only 6~ seconds to go from 4 to 26!
Anyway! The teenagers (Adam, Michael, Lorina, Bruce and I) went around and played in the arcade to earn tickets and get little animal plushies while the adults (Josh, Sylvia and Ken) went to the casino. One of the gaming machines weren't giving out tickets even though Adam won it three times (which would've been 300~ tickets btw) so I went to the redemption area and asked if they could fix it, then suddenly Adam and Bruce came running up to me jumping saying "Mom just won five grand!!!" Talk about CRAZY. Sylvia just won five. Freaking. Grand. We didn't even care about the tickets that we didn't get. We ran to the elevator that led downstairs to the casino area and waited for them to come up (since we couldn't go down there because age < 21)
According to Josh, his mom was just trying to show him to play the game since it was his first time so she goes "Here honey watch me" and then BAM! She wins. Super crazy.
So we went to dinner somewhere, I don't remember the name because it wasn't really the best. The server mixed up Adam and Bruce's orders, my lemonade was watered down, and my crispy chicken wasn't crispy. Michael had to ask twice for some ranch, too.
After dinner we went to our room, showered. The view outside the hotel room looked really nice with all the night lights. I took a picture but my crappy camera ruined it. Kind of.
Morning came, Josh's parents woke us all up around 10ish. Lorina curled my hair!!! I wish I could curl my hair like she does. We got dressed and went to Claim Jumper for breakfast.
I mean look at those curls. I need Lorina with me everyday to curl my hair.
Brunch was super great! I got grilled shrimp and I immediately thought of Kalui, a seafood restaurant back in my hometown in the Philippines. After brunch we went to the Meadowood(iirc) Mall. Josh got me a pair of pants and a jacket from Aeropostale, black boots and a teal shirt from Wet Seal. I wanted more but I didn't want him to go bankrupt. He also got himself a pair of shoes from Buckle.
Who would've thought I'd be a size 00? D: and yes it's a boot cut since all my pants are skinnies, I thought it was time for me to try something different lol
I couldn't take a decent picture of the boots because my phone is crappy -.- so I took the photo from the Wet Seal website (it's the exact same)
We then got Starbucks then drove back to the hotel. Josh and I took a dip on the jacuzzi!
Josh obviously wasn't ready for the second photo, sorry babe!
We didn't stay long in the pool area because the jacuzzi was too warm it felt like it would cook us if we stayed for another ten minutes. The pool wasn't fun either since it was three and a half feet deep from end to end (isn't that weird?).
We got dressed then for dinner. We walked around other hotels and casinos to try out other restaurants and we stumbled upon The Buffet (yes that's the restaurant's name) at El Dorado and it was the best buffet I've gone to so far. The server was super nice, served us water without asking, refilled our sodas and juices from time to time, gave us extra napkins, gave us a bowl of wet towelettes. And whenever someone got up to get another plate of food, his old plate was already taken before he got back. They had gelato instead of ice cream, they had really soft ribs and briskets, they had creamy mashed potatoes. It was all good. I was happy.
We went back to the hotel afterwards, packing up stuff and making sure we didn't forget anything (I forgot the toothbrush). Josh played another round at the casino and won $70! Then we drove home.
Here are the pictures of everything we won at the arcades
That's a purple lizard, a white bear, an elephant and a brown bear
The white bear is Josh and the brown bear is me :> ('cause he's white and I'm tan lol)
Adam actually won me this poster (thanks Adam!)
Last time we went to Reno I got the big lion and an owl
I put the remote there for scale; he's a big lion
And that concludes my post! Hurray!
Brunch time! Josh is tired of taking pictures with me teehee (at Claim Jumper Restaurants Reno)
Trip to Reno with my babe! Waiting for the rest of the Baker party :) (at Americana Cafe)
Josh got me milk tea!!! Not the best quality but gosh did I miss them #happykid

Quick updates for anyone who reads my blog
So... It's halfway through September already D:
Apparently, it's "Take your man to a date" month this month, so I did take Josh out! We watched Guardians of the Galaxy and sneaked Taco Bell burritos inside the cinema (sssh!). I also bought him Destiny even though he told me not to a hundred times (he wants me to just something that I like, but I told I'd probably just use the money to buy League RP or something less useful). His PC also broke down so his PS4 is his new buddy right now.
Canker sores have been hating on me recently. Two days after recovering from one on my right cheek, a new one came and built a tent on my left cheek. :< I bought some numbing gel for it since it's hard for me to eat and talk because it's located right on top of my fang. A random person I met asked me if I had cerebral palsy because when I smiled at her my left cheek didn't move. I had a laughing fit while trying to explain to her that it's just numbed.
What else to talk about...
I'm also super hyped about the League World Championships! (TSM! TSM! TSM!) Super shocked that SKT T1 didn't qualify. I feel like TPA's gonna make a big comeback. I also feel like TSM's gonna dominate their group but I don't think they're gonna win World Champs. We still don't know though, I mean, no one expected them to beat C9 at the NA LCS so yeah. Go TSM <3
This post is done :) take care and hope have a good day!
Josh is an angel <3
Hitting the first word that my phone predicts after typing "I" makes the weirdest sentences for me and Josh (thank you reddit for the idea)
So yeah, I sold my Macbook and built myself a semi-gaming PC
I've been wanting to do it for a while, mainly because I can't play most of the games I wanna play on a Mac (basically 80% of all the Steam games out there) due to stupid compatibility issues. So yeah, I sold my $2300 Macbook (it was including all the accessories and the Protection Plan) for a thousand grand. I know, I know, it doesn't sound like it was worth it but trust me, it was. The specs of the PC I built was 10x better than the Macbook.
Macbook Specs
Processor: Intel Core i7 (3.0Ghz) [Model/Generation Unknown]
RAM: 8GB RAM DDR3
Storage: 256GB SSD
Video Card: Intel HD Graphics 4000
Motherboard: Unknown
Tower: N/A
Power Supply: Unknown, doesn't matter
New PC Specs
Processor: Intel Core i5-4690K (3.5Ghz)
RAM: Team Vulcan Overclocking 8GB RAM (2x4GB) DDR3
Storage: 1TB Hard Drive
Video Card: AMD Radeon R9 280X GDDR5
Motherboard: Gigabyte Black Edition Z97
Tower: Rosewill Challenger Gaming Case
Power Supply: Seasonic 650W
Now if you think the Macbook had a better processor, you're wrong. It was an i7 but they both were quad cores, but the new one had a faster clock speed (and I'm pretty sure a faster turbo boosted speed as well). Both had the same RAM size but the new one was split into two, which meant it could handle a little more action than the Mac.
For storage, the SSD is better since it has no moving parts and will basically boot up your computer in 2 seconds, and my Mac didn't fail me there. Thing is, my new PC boots up in 10 seconds and I don't mind waiting 8 more seconds if it means I save a few hundred dollars. (Mind you, if you didn't know, 128GB of SSD is probably a hundred dollars more expensive than a 1TB hard drive). And besides, I can always buy the SSD later. I don't even need 128GB, I just need enough for my OS to be put at (around 20GB~).
Now this is where it gets intense: the video card. It's where I spent most of my money on. The Macbook had a Retina display, but that was just the display. Playing games like League and WoW ran at 45-60fps at medium settings. With the new video card, they ran at 250-300fps at the highest settings. The frame rate differences aren't visible to the naked eye, but it lets you know your video card is doing the job well. ;)
Both my PC and the old Macbook don't have optical drives, but I can always get one for my PC in the future. As for my old Mac though, I'll always have to depend on external disk drives. And that sucks.
The rest I can't compare because I honestly don't know what the rest of the specs are on my old Mac. But I feel really good moving from a Mac to a PC, because now I can play more games and download more mods (ie, Smite, LoL mods, Minecraft mods, Garry's Mod mods), and buy gaming peripherals like a mechanical keyboard and a mouse with programmable keys on the side, and mostly, I can now stream! I couldn't before with my Mac because the only free program for streaming was Wirecast (OBS wasn't compatible, everything else you had to pay $100+ for; or you could buy Windows for your Mac, which is also another $100). The problem with Wirecast was that it had this huge ass watermark on your stream and a recording that said "This is a free trail for Wirecast" every 30 freaking seconds.
I was also able to buy a headset with the rest of the money, and I got the Logitech G930! :D It's wireless so it's super convenient! And I can now wire my PC directly to the internet cable (hello 50mbps speed! It used to be 5~mbps slower, not that big of a deal, really, but still). Couldn't with my old Mac since it didn't have an Ethernet port -.-
I did lose portability with my new PC, but heck, I didn't really bring the Mac anywhere. I mean, I used to watch videos and waste time on Facebook while lying down in bed, but those are things my phone can do. There's also Chromecast so I can watch on the TV so this wasn't really a problem.
Also lost Bluetooth connection capability (I actually don't know if that's something I can buy for my PC) but I don't ever use bluetooth accessories because they're bad. Honestly, don't ever use bluetooth mice or keyboards (for gaming, at least), they are not reliable. And any file I ever need to transfer from phone to PC can be easily done through Google docs/photos.
Also lost the assurance that I won't ever get viruses but there's always free antivirus apps like Avast and Avira.
Lastly, I lost a webcam but Macbook webcams aren't the best, and, just like the SSD and the disk drive, webcams will always be something I can buy in the future. As for now it's not a problem since Matt let me borrow his (Logitech C615, 720p!) and Nacera gave me her old one (Microsoft HD 3000, also 720p!). Both can suffice until I buy me the Logitech C920 (1080p!).
So yeah, that's why I sold my Macbook for this PC. It's not completely a gaming PC yet, but it's close. :)
An update
Well, life is still good. Better, actually. I don't like my new job right now because it gives the worst hours (yes, it's retail( but then I'd rather have this than my old one where I had to do mandatory overtime and had unpaid breaks.
Anyway, I recently got addicted to reddit. r/nosleep to be specific. I'm actually scared that something paranormal might happen to me but, hey, I'm still alive right? Even if something did, I think I've watched enough Supernatural to figure out a way on how to handle whatever I'm facing lol (though I don't believe in most of them)
I think I lost weight..? I honestly don't know. But what I'm sure of is I'm more confident to wear a bikini now. :D And it's not because Josh always tells me I'm beautiful (he rarely does, besides the occasional "You don't need make up" comments). I dunno, but it's a good thing.
I'm also surprised at some people asking me why I don't send them pasalubong when I was able to get Josh a ps4 for his birthday. First of all, I had his family and friends help me, I'm working part-time so there is no way I can afford that on my own. Also, Josh has given me so much gifts and other material things that giving him a ps4 doesn't actually make up for it. I mean, yeah if I was earning a little more money I'd send you guys gifts and such but right now I really can't. (I also regret saying sorry to one of you who asked, because frankly, it's not my responsibility to buy you shit (and yes I'm too chicken to say this to your face so I hope you read my Tumblr))
Lastly, DO NOT TRUST FEDEX. Ugh. They made me so upset last week. When Josh's brother ordered the PS4, the estimated delivery date was 07/10, which was then changed to 07/11, which was then changed to 07/12. There weren't any activities from 07/08 to 07/10. Like really? What was the package doing for three days not moving :/ but whatever, the package is here now
The ps4 finally arrived! (FedEx sucks btw) thanks again Jake, Sylvia, Ken, Adam, Michael, Cory and Alex!! :) belated happy birthday again babe <3
Happy 21st Joshy baby <3 (Part II)
