I went to Capital’s Summertime Ball 2019.
This was my first time attending Capital’s Summertime Ball, I had high hopes and they were definitely met.
I’ve never really given much thought into going to the ball before, even though it always seems to have a pretty great line-up. But, after seeing that my childhood (and current) loves, The Jonas Brothers, were hitting the ball as their first big UK show back together, there’s no way that I could have missed it.
I even took it upon myself to go full fangirl mode and got a Jonas Brothers t-shirt especially for the occasion:
I might have even had a complete fangirl meltdown to go along with the look. I would insert one of many picture’s of me crying as proof here, but no one needs to see that.
I don’t think that you ever really get over the first band you ever love and when they make a comeback that’s better than ever (p.s download and stream their new album Happiness Begins on whatever you can because it is incredible) you just can’t help but let the emotions take over. They even brought out busted on the stage with them, it’s easy to say that 10 year old me was screaming inside and 20 year old me was definitely screaming on the outside. Even though I was mainly there for them, there ending up being a lot of other acts that I liked also on the line-up and I ended up having the best time.
5 seconds of summer (another teenage love of mine) really brought the energy and reminded me why I fell in love with their music at the age of 13. Calvin Harris, Jax Jones, Mabel, Anne-Marie, Khalid and Maroon 5 were also acts that really blew me away, they brought so much energy and fun, they’re people that I love listening to and seeing them live did not disappoint. I would highly recommend going to the Summertime Ball if you’re ever in the position to go, it’s an incredible day out to make great memories with friends.
