oh so you view relationships and love as purely transactional thats cool. i understand being protective over will because he's gone through so much and been put through so many unnecessary horrors through the writers, but hating on byler fans who don't want to make mike go through 10 years of waiting and groveling in every fic they write or every scenario they create shows me that you have an immature view on relationships and love and maybe just fandom in general too.. also a misunderstanding of will and fuck it! maybe even queer people. when a lot of byler's friendship was built on mutual understanding and both of them being "crazy together" don't you think that will's deeper understanding of mike's struggle to be in the closet would only bring them closer not further apart? queer people finding community in each other is empowering fun fact. the concept of the quote above is interesting for angst, and it would be necessary for will's growth to not need mike's presence for everything (including self acceptance), but saying mike suffering is a MUST in every fic is crazy.
