crazy magi theory time!
// Okay but what if Sinbad isnât truly in control as he thinks he is?
Weiterlesen
I guess this is the outcome everybody in the magi fandom is hoping/praying for - the turnout of David being the âtrue villainâ of Magi plotting everything beforehand and Sinbad acting after his âplanâ this whole time. For all we know, it could be possible (as you wrote out in your post). There are a few questions for example where David is just now and what his intentions are (I dont really believe him with the whole âok - i`m ur magi nowâ thing). In the world of shounen manga, in the end, the heroes defeat the villain, there is a big fight, the good side wins! Well, but Sinbad being the last opponent wont give us the satisfaction of âhe has been defeated, thats a good endingâ because, as you said yourself, Sinbad isnt pure evil or a villain per se. He is about to do something bad, yes. He has lost his way somehow, yes. But he is not someone people would be happy with when being killed by Alibaba or anyone. Because the fandom loves him too much, understands him too much. I would be so sad by sinbad dying (again) but its a possible outcome. Plottwist with David being the âbad guyâ would lead us to âyes, we had a fight against sinbad, you had him as a villainâ but not him being a shounen top-evil. But before that, I wonder what alibabas plan is just now? I look forward to the new chapters! Lets see what happens with David next ;)

YAAAAAY! Crazy Magi Theory Exchange Super-Happy Fun Time! *puts on tinfoil hat*
Do you think this fits in with Davidâs Prophecy? I lean towards David being washed up and the prophecy being fulfilled, but I know I might be wrong on that one. Do you think the prophecy is a red herring? Do you think Iâve totally missed an important part? What do you think David wants next? *biting fist before I end up asking 50 questions*
This world gave birth to a singularity. However, this other can no more influence this world than those who do not notice and must therefore disappear from this world.
... Then the true singularity that gives birth to a new world will reach the miracle at the end of fateâs unimaginable trajectory, and the true utopia will come into being. It will be a stunningly beautiful world, and that is when I will stand beside god, and surpass god, and fulfill my mission
So itâs pretty obvious that David is referring to himself in the first paragraph then goes on to describe his future encounter with Sinbad in the second paragraph. But are these passages accurate prophecies or mere ramblings of an insane man?
If Mariam were alive, do you think Sinbad would flirt with her?
Not unless sheâs a grown woman! Sinbad doesnât flirt with kids. Thatâs just downright creepy (and his reputation is sketchy enough as it is).

Respect Your RP Partners
Something Iâve noticed in the RP community is that we expect our RP partners to be writing machines. We expect them to churn out a reply almost immediately after we post ours, be on when we are, always send us memes, et cetera. Hereâs the thing: our RP partners are not machines. They are human beings who need to be respected for more than their ability to write. Other than the usual âyour RP partners may not feel like replying at the moment,â here are some things to respect them for, and remember when youâre RPing:
Respect that your RP partner may be in school.
Respect that your RP partner may be employed.
Respect that your RP partner may have at least one physical illness.
Respect that your RP partner may have at least one mental illness.
Respect that your RP partner may have friends outside of tumblr.
Respect that your RP partner may have a family outside of tumblr.
Respect that your RP partner may be a parent.
Respect that your RP partner may have hobbies outside of tumblr.
Respect that your RP partner may have religious obligations.
Respect that your RP partner may not always have internet, or computer access.
Respect that your RP partner may be going through a difficult life situation.
Respect that your RP partner does not have to disclose everything happening in their personal life to you.
Too often, itâs easy to say âno one RPs with meâ or âno one ships with meâ or âno one sends me anythingâ without considering any of the above, or even more circumstances your RP partner(s) may be dealing with. Too often, itâs easy to say one of those things, and not consider how the other person feels when reading it. Someone dealing with at least one of these circumstances can feel guilty for not replying right away, sending something, et cetera, or feel like they have to once they see their partner is unhappy.Â
I know I do when I see things like that on my dash.
When you start feeling guilty for not doing something that is part of your hobby, or feeling like you have to do something that is supposed to be fun, it stops being fun. It feels like a job. I know when I feel obligated to do a reply for a person, I drag my feet. I do not feel excited about the RP as much anymore. Even if they say, âSure, Iâll wait,â I see them post elsewhere that no one sends them things, or no one RPs with them. The guilt turns on. I feel like I have to reply. Itâs a passive-aggressive tactic that a person may not even be aware that theyâre doing. No matter what, though, it needs to stop.
All in all, we need to show more kindness and patience towards our RP partners. The best relationships I have on this website are the ones where we treat each other with not only that, but with mutual respect. We also communicate regularly, and tell each other if we need to hold onto replies. I feel relieved knowing I can go to my RP partners, and tell them to hold onto my replies because Iâm not feeling well, and I donât know when I will be. It is an amazing feeling. We need more of that on this website, and less expecting one another to be robots.
We are all human. Never forget that.
Hereâs a translation of the omake that came out with SnB 143 this week. They are acting more and more like they do in Magi everyday~!Â
Happenstance
noahwisely :
âBecause youâre from a different world. One filled with magic. One you rule.â He sat down in the chair opposite the man and signed for the waiter to come take his order.Â
âThe usual, please,â he said and the waiter bowed his head politely. This was a place he often came to lately, so he didnât even have to order. Minutes later the waiter came back with a piece of chocolate cake and a cup of Earl Grey tea.Â
âWhy are you here, mister?â Wisely tilted his head to one side curiously. Although, he already pretty much guessed from earlier readings that he came here on accident.Â
A new god, huh?
âYou see, most humans around here will simply think youâre an outsider. They donât notice your peculiar and dangerous aura, or is that what I should call it? Youâll have to excuse me for not knowing the meaning behind the word ârukhâ.â He saw no point in holding back.Â
He took a sip from his tea, awaiting the otherâs reaction.Â
Sinbadâs eyes widen briefly... before he laughs, the sound similar to several bells chiming in the distance. Or else it sounded like thunder crackling in the skies, like gunshots echoing long after they are fired. It was anything but joyful.
âA clever mindreader, hm?â
But there was something more here. Something odd.
He turns those bright amber eyes at the stranger, seemingly scrutinizing every fiber of his being. But this world was not of rukh. Their destinies were not roads or seas waiting to be navigated or tread upon. Their lives were not his to tamper with. But he does have some semblance of control here as well, granted that he knew just which doors to pry open.
â...I beg your pardon if I donât know much about Noah. It is not my wish to get involved in this worldâs war.â
Another sip of coffee, this one tasting of ashes.
âBut I will be more than happy to indulge your questions about mine. After all, this would be nothing more than a waking dream for you.â
â
To my darling robin,
I know that what we have is strange, if not downright confusing to some. But I care not for their opinions for in you I found not only a trustworthy friend but a soulmate. There is no one else who can calm my worries, who can soothe me with a single word or a simple touch.Â
When Iâm with you, the world seems so much simpler. And for a few precious moments, I feel safe, happy.Â
I will treasure every moment weâve spent together. And if destiny is kind, we will find each other once more.
Signed,
Your other half
â hi dad
Dear not-son,
I checked your newest designs. Despite my initial reservations upon seeing you mix glitter with pristine silk, Iâm... actually quite pleased with the results. Iâm also looking forward to seeing more of your work. Not to pressure you or anything but the show is less than two weeks away and I would prefer that you do not cram things at the last minute. I can not emphasize enough on how important this show will be for my- - I mean- - your career. Also I already paid for the venue and everything. Iâm not one for being wasteful.
Meetings will keep me late til next week but I will continue to check on your progress. As always, call the chef if you want anything else for dinner. Call my assistant if you want any additional supplies.
Signed,
not-dad
p.s. Stop using my hairbrush every morning. I know when youâve been fiddling with it. My hair isnât bubblegum pink.

Happenstance
noahwisely :
He had been wandering the streets, having managed to escape Sherylâs grasp yet again. Learning Portuguese and etiquette was most likely the most boring way to pass time for Wisely, so he preferred going out, since that was what he was used to anyway from all those years of being homeless. Suddenly becoming a young noble wasnât going to change that.Â
Since he was in a back alley where currently no other humans were present, Wisely decided to switch to his Noah form momentarily in order to see if there were any interesting minds present. The reason for this was simple actually. He promised Tryde to be more careful and not to be deceived by strangers whose minds he couldnât read whenever he was in human form. Sometimes it was a real problem for him not being able to use his Demon Eye if he had to mingle among humans, therefore the discreet manner currently.Â
The moment he activated his Demon Eye was the moment he sensed the incredible presence nearby. It was as if countless tons of thoughts, memories and images were caught by him, but the Eye couldnât grasp any of it, not clearly anyway. This man wasnât from this world, that much was clear. Wisely was certain the man wouldâve sensed him the moment he changed into his Noah form, since the Dark Matter Noah were made of carried a lot of anger and thirst for revenge.Â
Wisely switched back to his human form and stepped out of the back alley, only to meet the eyes of the curious stranger. He looked like some kind of Persian thousand and one dreams entity.Â
âMister, I believe you are attracting too much attention. We are in London after all. This is the age of steam-engines and not the Arabian Dream.â Yet, why did Wisely feel so excited? There was a lot to explore with this one. He never encountered a mind like his before. He was certain the man had no idea what a steam-engine was though or the Arabian Dream for that matter.Â
âLondon?â
What a strange name for a strange city. And yet Sinbad thought it fit somehow. He can perceive the slightest hint of tea and salt on the tip of his tongue even through a couple sips of coffee. The air was colder here and the ground much grayer than from where he came. And yet it was still charming, so very charming like a golden trinket hung on a string, like a silver coin slipping from the ether and rolling in between his fingers.
âHuh.â
He peers at the small object. There was a stern-looking woman etched on one side, a number on the other. It smelled of gunpowder and smoke.
War was near.
And yet people went about their business through the fog, riding loud wheeled machines or else reading indiscernible words on printed paper.
â...Do I really attract that much attention?â
Sinbad glanced down at his clothes. They were no different from his garb back in Csitephon, the flowing white robes and gold details lending an air of old-world opulence to his form. Although considering how everyone seemed dressed in grays and blacks, he can tell how easy it was to pick him as the odd man out.
âAh, no matter. I wonât be here for long anyway.â And with that he takes another sip of coffee, tasting blood, bitterness, and tears.Â
