for now she could relax just ever so slightly . though gaze kept locked with his free hand went back to usher those behind her away . they needed to get away from the demon king and find safety for the night was not long away . at his words towards her weapon a light shade of pink crossed fair cheeks for but a moment . not many questioned or commented upon her choice of weaponry upon summoning . in fact , a weapon was not a common sight for her but rather her harp . ❝ perhaps i thought it quite silly to bring a musical instrument into this confrontation . unless a song would have changed your mind better ? ❞

they run ——————— let them ! a better, smarter decision than to stay & watch as the dusk falls, albeit by her little push. monsters thrive in the dark, after all. ( & isn't he considered the very definition of one ? ) all should understand it by now. no matter, he couldn't care any less / so insignificant, unlike their goddess. the slight blush, demise notices, ———— of course, he does, ————— & her response draws a not — quite — chuckle from him.

where his aura was thick as smoke and black as night hers was bright as sun and white as moon . two great beings — stood apart and facing down with challenging gazes . rapier was in hand ( though weapon of choice it was not ) , grip tightening as lips flattened . eyes narrow at his piercing words and for a moment she almost glanced back over her shoulder but decided ‘gainst it for not to break contact with his stare . ❝ they may seem little to you , demise . ❞ voice of serenity — beautiful yet stern , ❝ but i see a potential in every single one of them . now they are still young , weak , and naive — but they shall grow to become stronger , wiser , and courageous . ❞

a low ❝ hmm ❞ resounds from his throat, unintended, a small indication that he’s considering them, her words at all. though no love for those above, as he’d snarl / curse, exists in him, demise listens. & the men squirm `neath his gaze a while longer. his opinion doesn’t change; no surprise there. ❛ we shall see. for now ? don't expect all to share the sentiment. ❜ he'll applaud the day they show this courage, wisdom & strength she speaks of. til then ——— his attention shifts to the weapon in her grasp. ❛ that's not a weapon one would associate you with, goddess. ❜
