so I just watched the odyssey movie....

and I made this within 5 minutes of returning. so I think that sums up my thoughts on it. (though im willing to rant more if ppl want it. cause I have COMPLAINTS)

Ariadne when she learns Nolan made her aunt Circe a hysterical woman who also turned her mother Pasiphae into a bird because some men hurt her thats why she turns men into pigs: ....the heck?

The circe scene in the film the so called horror scene wasn't really anything good, but I felt disgust and awkwardness. The setting felt like a medieval witch who's alone in the mountains on a small dark house. Didn't help the setting was in Ireland or Scotland as well remote from a greek setting or anythinv that looks similar.

The house, what she wore, everything didn't even look bronze age or even that she's circe herself, you could easily just mistake her for a random unknown witch in Scandinavia. She doesn’t look like the rich exiled daughter of Helios, she wasn't the charismatic alluring woman, she didn't have other women because she wasn't alone in fact, but well provided with company.

The scene she feeds the men felt that Nolan didn't get how magic in greek myths work. Circe starts touching the men then shoves her whole hand in their mouths to "get the pigs out of them" , which doesn't even made me feel anything than disgust in the film.

Half-Blood Hell- A Chatfic

soooooooo pjo chatfic? i thought of the idea when thinking of our chinese and vietnamese camp stories and i wanted to make a lighthearted lightly plot related chatfic with gods, demigods, ocs, different pantheons (i havent read the kane chronicles or magnus chase books yet so for now they are excluded) but the idea so far is to have one of the non Grecian demigods be accidentally added to the chb groupchat as they are on their own quest. i am leaning to my veit mc because one of hermes' kids is her companion so they have an anchor to stay in the chat. what do you think?
