“yes, seeing old lovers can be…uncomfortable.” she thinks beack to her run in with luke only a few days ago, a pang in her heart wholly apparent. but luke no longer being her lover was something entirely different, something she didn’t want even in the slightest. she wanted him i her bed, in her arms, anyway that she could have him as long as he was hers again. and yet, she found a large part of herself holding her back, tearing her in two. her brows rose in interest though at the woman’s next words. “experiments with herbs, did you say?” she turned a little bit in her seat, body turning to face her. “do you know much about poisons, lyra? they’ve always interested me, but i’ve never known much about them.”
An interest in poisons was not common, unless there was some sort of ill intent, Lyra had noticed. People of her land were more keen on more...direct ways to rid themselves of someone, but the Southerners seemed to prefer more discretion. Lyra did not want to jump to conclusions though, moderately happy to have someone listen to something that she found passion in. “Yes, I’ve found an herb here that is very slow but almost entirely silent. One day, the man is fine, another day, his heart just stops. It’d be of use to a great house to develop some sort of antidote, though, they can be tricky as you very well cannot test these things, but we find ways around it,” Lyra looked at the woman more closely before her eyes fell to her chain to point at the silver one wedged between the Valyrian Steel and iron links. “This denotes that healing is a specialty of mine. Each metal denotes a specialty for each Maester.”
