The way Avatar treats Spider is crazy. Like what did my guy do??? Be born?

I don't think he's owed family from the Sully's per se but the indifference and neglect, while also expecting a lot from him towards them is bizarre. They really thought he'd rat them out like he was eager for it. Like he wasn't captured...

Nobody even thought about trying to save him the first time, meanwhile he's getting tortured by that machine and who knows what else. Also or course he saved Quaritch, the guy made it possible for him to have a modicum of freedom and was okayish towards him.

Why is it even a betrayal to be honest? Beyond what he already does for the Sully's what does he owe them? I know Neytiri cut him to get Kiri free but from Spider's pov that doesn't look that great. Hell to me it doesn't look that great.And then he gets captured again in Fire and Ash smh. My guy acts as a human shield to protect these two, meanwhile Jake tried to kill him in this movie. Sure he changed his mind but come on. Has he had a single adult actually act like a real guardian to him either? The McCosker's were ass too.

The movies just gloss over all this and never give it a moment of reflection. Kiri is always fighting for him though and vice versa.
