Hey dude, i'd like to request either “We have to be quiet.” or “How much of that did you hear?” with Ichimatsu, depending on which one inspires you more, thank you mob!!
We have to be quiet / How much of that did you hear?
“You have to fucking promise me you won’t tell them,” Ichimatsu hissed, his teeth grit. He had a vice grip on Karamatsu’s leather jacket, knuckles white and nails threatening to rip the material. Karamatsu held his hands up in surrender, face pale and sweaty.
“I-I promise, dear brother!” Karamatsu adjusted his glasses nervously. “On one condition--”
“Absolutely the fuck not,” Ichimatsu cut him off, nearly snarling, “you don’t get any conditionals.”
“Brother, you have to soothe my romantic heart,” he wiggled out of his grip, pressing a hand to his forehead dramatically. “I may be able to help you!”
Ichimatsu glared hard, fists clenched. The blush across his cheeks betrayed his assertive demeanor. “...Fine.”
Not an hour later, you let yourself in to the Matsuno household. It was eerily quiet, an uncommon characteristic. Squinting a bit, you crept around the house quietly to see if anyone was home. What you heard was a couple of hushed voices-- Ichimatsu and Karamatsu.
“...heard the door open, we have to be quiet.”
“I’m always quiet, brother.”
“Anyway, to wrap this up before whoever came home comes in, I guess... I guess that’s why I like them so much. I feel like I can be myself around them. I’m not afraid. They make me not afraid.”
Ichimatsu’s voice softened with each sentence he spoke, like he was letting his guard down. Outside the door, you could hear a solid pat on the back. You correctly assumed it was from Karamatsu.
Hitching your breath, you knocked.
“You don’t need to knock,” Ichimatsu’s aloof voice returned and you could feel his glare through the door.
“I-it’s me,” you spoke up.
“Come in, cherie!” Karamatsu called back to you, his nickname being met with a sharp smack from his brother. You opened the door and stood sheepishly under the frame.
“...How much of that did you hear?” Ichimatsu did his best to keep his composure, but he was tense, as though he was ready to bolt out of the room.
“All of it.” You bit your lip and refused to meet his gaze. However, you did make your way into the room, and Karamatsu took that as a sign to get out. Once you were sure you were alone, you stood in front of Ichimatsu and tentatively held out your hand. “Do you... wanna talk this out at the cat cafe a few blocks over?”
Relief flooded his face, along with a red hue. He took your hand in his (his palms were sweaty, you found it endearing) and gave you a slight nod, a smile creeping up on his features. “I’d love to..!”
