That reaction– had her words finally fallen on hearing ears? Her heart raced && it felt as though her rib cage would burst, excitement gripping her fiercely. This was her chance. It could be her only chance. The fallen monarch’s words had to be perfect, calculated enough to strike the right nerves in the heiress in her shaky state of mind.
❝ You aren’t STRONG enough, are you? ❞
Her hiss came again, her actions mirroring Chibiusa’s but not quite perfectly. Pupils were a striking yellow, peering through the gaps between the bony fingers that were held at her eyes as her taunts came from behind bared teeth. She would not lift the spell, the hex that blurred her visage to match that of the moon’s princess– not yet. Overwhelming her to such extremes could end unfavorably for Nehellenia. She would make herself known once she was sure she could be mislead && surely be an ally rather than an enemy.
❝ You know that you cannot protect them while you are so WEAK– so naive. Serenity. Endymion. The people who will look to you as QUEEN. You will disappoint them. ❞
Laughter sounded, a hum that resonated like a clap of thunder.
❝ Well… You will as you are NOW. ❞
A shaking breath made it’s way between her lips - as if she was cold. So cold it caused her to wrap her arms around herself to stop the shivering. How could she be so afraid of a reflection? Her own reflection. Why would she cause such fear to herself. Was it another nightmare or wasn’t she even awake yet?
A nightmare that showed who she once was - someone who brought all her friends in danger. The memory was blurry though it was steady and always there inside her head, constantly beating softly to tell the princess it was still there. This desire for strength, being strong enough to live on her own, without the help of others. And yet, where was she now? The reflection was right, though she couldn’t admit it. It was too embarrassing. Colors of red as blood wandered to the mirror another time only to end up in an aggressive order.
“Leave me alone! Begone!”
The bitter sound of teeth gnashing in her mouth was only one bit of sign that the rage inside her grew. The princess however couldn’t figure out whom she were to hold her anger against. The reflection who dared to tell her these words or herself for being in fact weak. There was a snort coming from her nose as she stepped closer to the surface.
“You are--- you are past. You don’t belong here.”
