As he rushed down the crowded street, Jellal told himself that this was most certainly not his fault. He had no way of knowing that his phone would die on him during the night, and as a result he would have no alarm to wake him up on time. Ultear and Meredy could not blame him for something like that ... technology failed even him sometimes.

But ... it wasn’t really about whether they would blame him or not, was it? No ... it was more down to the other people they were meeting with. His phone excuse wouldn’t really hold up with them.

Which was why he was running, uncharacteristically paying little attention to the people around him. 

Finally, he reached the building and skidded to a halt in the elevator. As he pressed down the button of the floor he needed, he didn’t even notice the other person with him. Not in the mood for small talk, he leaned back against the wall and shut his eyes, taking a few calming breaths.

His eyes snapped open as the elevator came to a sharp stop. He looked to the doors, waiting for them to slide open... And he waited, and waited, and waited. There was no movement.

❝ ... No. ❞

The horrified realisation came over him as he realised what must be happening, and he pressed on the ‘open’ button. But still, the doors didn’t budge even an inch.

❝ Why now ? ❞

    Ah, jeeze. Jadeite took a step from the bathroom door and rubbed his jaw. This was not part of his job description. He was not supposed to have to educate others on pregnancy. Especially when they were not his significant other. 

    He took a step towards the door again and pressed his ear on it to make sure she hadn’t started puking again. No sounds, that was good, unless she’d passed out or something. “Weeeel,” he began. “The whole being pregnant thing is supposed to last nine months. So, nine months before your birthday should have been around the time of conception.”

    God. He did not want to think about Usagi and Mamoru expecting a baby. Although the timing was right, it still seemed far too early for Chibiusa to make her entrance. Just last year it felt like that wouldn’t happen for ages. Now here he was, trying to wrap his brain around it happening. 

    “Do you...want me to go buy you a test so you can be sure?”

He feels slightly guilty over the fact that she had gotten injured on his watch. Of course, protecting the Moon Princess has never been his duty, so he has no reason to feel bad... He’s loathe to admit it, but perhaps she’s growing on him.

After her gnash is cleaned, he starts to wrap a bandage around it as gently as possible. There’s no way to stop it from hurting entirely, but there’s no reason to cause unnecessary pain.

He can’t believe he’s hearing this.

Why on Earth would she say something like? Doesn’t she understand that she has to be the one to survive? Doesn’t she understand that he has a duty to her as well now?

after mamoru and jadeite graduated from moto azabu high school, zoisite transferred to juban public high school. mamoru and jadeite were the only students at mahs that zoisite liked, and while it was very prestigious, if a public school is good enough for ami (who is way smarter than everyone ever) then it is good enough for zoisite. plus, most of the senshi attend school there, zoisite likes (or at the very least tolerates) them, so why not spend his last year of high school with people he doesn’t mind being around. 

he and jadeite were the best fencers in the school at mahs, so zoisite joins the fencing club at jphs and shines there, as well as with academics and chess (though ami always beats him there). he was actually looking forward to his last year until the three lights showed up. then zoisite spends his last year both eternally annoyed at everyone, and protective of usagi because fuck off, seiya.
