✦ you were pretty mysterious, even for a superhero. you kept your personal life private, even to your teammates. it was harder to keep tabs on you considering you weren't an avenger, but tony has a way of finding things (a way you probably wouldn't approve of, but he wasn't one to get hung up on the details).

✦ lady luck has never let stark down before. it was a beautiful coincidence that you showed up at the hellfire gala this year, but it was luck that led to you and tony getting tipsy and hitting it off. there was some friction, but all the best relationships have that push and pull. he wouldn't complain, not when that friction gave way to ease as he guided you to his lodgings.

✦ while tipsy, you gave stark a list of demands before entering his room. how the bed should be made, how the room should smell, and even how he should style his hair. of course, he followed your every whim; no order was too tall, here. you wouldn't give your true name, but you gave him your body that night. tony likes to think that counts for something. there's just one issue now: it's been a couple days and... well... usually, people ask him for another night after a day. he's been waiting a week for you to crawl back to him, and you've yet to give him anything. which is why he decides to text first.

✦ so now he's spontaneously calling high end restaurants and demanding a table, just to see which one'll give in. you like the bed well-made, his hair parted at the side and combed over, and the room... what did you say about the smell of the room? it's hard to remember anything other than how you smiled as you finished... sandalwood should be a safe scent, right?

✦ he won't admit it, not to you or even himself, but he's nervous. coworkers? no, no, no. he's got to get you to think otherwise— a challenge, but tony's never been one to run away from an uphill battle.
