Wind whispered through the tightly woven leaves of Cotesâ dense jungle. Kumatora felt needlessly lost. She could hear all sorts of things around her, but she still felt isolated as could be. She wouldnât be as on edge about where she was if it werenât for the fact that she literally had none of the few personal belongings she had, and with her current Phsique, she could tell that the place she was anywhere but home. âLucas? Boney?? Duster??? You guys out there?â She called out, and not so much to her surprise as much as it was her disappointment, she was met by anything but the sounds of her friends voices. However, what did catch her attention, was the sound of something moving behind her, and she spun around to face it.
âWhoâs there?âÂ
The Traveler was still figuring things out as they trotted through the forest, arms hanging loosely at their sides. It felt weird having appendages that werenât just pointy legs. Their sense of balance was offâthat wasnât good for someone who walked a lot!
So when that voice called out so suddenly, the Traveler chirruped in surprise. Nearly tripping over themselves, they flared their cloak out along with the sleeves of their arms, the tassles along the edges of the fabric glowing slightly. They hobbled precariously on their feet, regaining their balance. And while they did thatânew friend! New companion!
Very very colorful companion. Very fluffy, also. Their colorful friend companion had two ears sticking up, just like their own little tufts! âHello Rainbow Friend Companion! I Am Called Traveler. Traveler Did Not Mean To Startle. No Hurt No Fear.â Their eyes glowed with delight. âTraveler Likes Rainbow Companionâs Cloak!â
Kumatora jumped a bit at the way they were approached, but was very humored at the least by The Travelerâs enthusiasm. âOh! Hi! Itâs nice to meetcha! Iâm Kumatora. I like your cloak, too!â The smile on her face faded quick as she looked up and around, however. The sky had a dusty red color to it, and while she couldnât see anything really happening outside of the thick canopy of leaves, the energy that hung on the air was more than enough to make her feel tense. âDo you know whatâs happening here?â They said, gesturing skyward. â Iâm willing to take a guess that this...Isnât the norm.â Â
