A natural wave is formed on Lake Michigan when the riptide meets the incoming tide and explodes upward, 2014 - by Michael Bernhardt, American
Also, "stay home if you don't want to be murdered by the government" is not something said by people who value freedom.
Just don't go outside to avoid state violence. He lied lyingly.
you know what? fuck you

what's the spider book 👀
I’m very happy you asked!
so we begin: an evil alien brain slug is infiltrating the Canadian parliament. his troop-leader has already secured the body of Canada’s future prime minister. he’s in the body of the prime minister’s son, and is pretending to be him (going to classes, following his routine, etc) UNTIL!!!! HE GETS HIT BT A TRUCK!!
the slug wakes up in a mausoleum. a glowing golden goddess tasks him with killing the demon king. he says “what?” but unfortunately the processes are already processing. he wakes up again: he’s in the body of a (formerly) dead prince, in medieval fantasy Britain.
seems pretty straight forward, right? well here’s the twist. in the depths of a castle, he finds a grey-skinned human/spider hybrid being held captive. this “spider man” has an eight pack. the slug is affected by the eight pack.
and now the spider is coming along on their crusade to kill the demon king. but wait! freeing him from imprisonment might have had consequences. the consequences being, the slug is now bondaged to the gills and being dragged underground, where the spider’s gigantic cannibalistic mother awaits.
and what happens next?? will the slug find a way to contact his troops, and resume their alien invasion in this new fantastical world? how will they fight the demon king? will the slug have anal sex with the spider? you’ll have to read to find out!
it’s called The Ignoble Invasion of Prince Proculo, and currently it’s in pre-order
just got the first reader review back! you've probably already guessed this from the description above, but it does in fact have a tight, coherent narrative.
I swear to god it’s tight as hell

Did you ever just feel so lucky for knowing someone you met online? Like.. I was one click away from not following you. I was one second away from never even knowing of your existence.I would never have been this happy!!!...
Have you seen spider man brand new day?
Yes — although to be honest, I found it pretty forgettable. Supergirl tried to do far more with the same premise, and its execution was clumsier but its ambition was greater, and at least it tried to make a meaningful comment about feminism and trauma along the way. Spider-Man Brand New Day felt smoother and yet blander by comparison, and really isn't beating the allegations that the MCU has become optimized to the point of soullessness.

I remember the first time I saw the climate clock, I thought well that's dramatic, Climate Change is an issue sure, but they are exaggerating how fast and how bad it will get, but now? Now I worry they were understating the speed at which things will worsen
There are less than 3 years left on the clock, and thousands died this year from heat waves while the US and Israel have bombed entire cities off the map and AI data centers are being built that use more power than small countries
Even when all the shit runs dry I still have a fear that if we are alive they still won't want to transition to green energy. They'll just look for more oil
