Her transformed state
Miyuki is the little sister of Saki, who was thought to be dead. Saki had thought that Miyuki was killed in a car accident years prior. What had actually happened was that Saki died in that accident. In that moment, an incubator, who had been following and scouting the Asami sisters came forward and took advantage of the situation.
"Bring her back! I don't care if I can never see her again! Just bring her back!"
It would be those words that would haunt her for a long time. As soon as her contract was made, her presence was gone. No one could sense her there at all, no matter what she tried to do. She had become a ghost, so to speak, even though she was very much not dead.
As time went on, she became more adapted to living completely alone. She became an assassin who would sneak through the barriers of witches and cut their throats, strangle them with her threads, or cut them to pieces by wrapping them in said threads. All the while, memories of Saki would give her no rest.
She would check in on her sister here and there, eventually losing count of the nights when she would sit there and cry next to Saki, begging for her sister to call her name, to hear her, to feel her, to see her there. One day, she stopped going to Saki, and began to work on something.
Miyuki would no longer be content to not be seen. She had heard through her travels that magi could learn new abilities if they practiced. This would drive her to lengths that no normal person would ever go to. She once again lost track of how long it took before she finally learned to control her magic. Although no matter how long it took her, the words that her an Saki had said to one another had never left her mind.
She had promised her hand in marriage to her sister, and even though others might not understand it, they didn't need to. All that time had passed, she had grown up alone and thinking of those words the two had exchanged. To others it may be childish to hold something like that in importance. But it had been that very thing that had driven her to stay alive, and to keep going forward.
Now, in the present, Miyuki can be found at her own grave site, knowing that Saki will one day visit it, and the two could possibly be reunited. That would be if Saki would believe her... If Saki would not let her walk away once more...
'Placere vocant nomen meum...'
