i will never understand the enjoyment of 1v1 arenas in overwatch because it literally just sucks for everyone who isnt the winner. like youre basically guaranteed to lose every time and the only people having fun are the ones who are rolling everyone else and even if im winning, i feel like shit because you just keep beating them over and over and i KNOW that doesnt feel good. and i love my gamer friends but man do i hate doing the games where we get pitted against each other and its just loss after loss

like i try not to be a sore loser but when the entire match you just lose and suck and are the worst its not really fucking fun at all is it

like if you want the ego boost so badly maybe dont get it by playing the "beating your friends and show how much better you are than them while they suffer every single loss" game

fuck i feel like ive been injected with pure dopamine and nostalgia. both the 2020 ow1 patch (the last patch i played before i took a hiatus off ow1 and then it became ow2) and more importantly hawkeye avengers (circa 2012), a bit of the fan culture movie but focusing more on the characterization and story from the Hawkeye comics made by Matt Fraction and David Aja

#yall remember those tumblr artstyle little scenes people would draw of clint (avengers movie) doing stupid shit or like those 2012 edits #I say all this positively btw this was my childhood #and its be stupid fun shit and headcanons that reflected the quirky nature of the time #im trying to invoke some of that whimsy at least in the way he texts #but obv the serious stuff like his childhood and abuse and etc is being portrayed differently #more towards the comic version of clint #but i also saw posts of the hawkeye comics on tumblr back then and those always stuck with me #hawkeye was and still is my fav avenger and probably fav marvel character esp the way aja and fraction wrote him #i havent read the comics at all beyond the snippets id get on tumblr but i fell in love with the character #hes literally just hanzo shimada but slightly up and to the left idk... not all of him is hanzo but boy howdy is there a lot of similarities #but hoowee the nostalgia of coming back to hawkeye. it was written on the subway walls #rivera writes #marvel #hawkeye #clint barton #overwatch
