Hey y’all film crew member here. For those of you asking, they’re running like that to stay out of the shot.  For us crew we TRY OUR HARDEST TO NOT GET FILMED. IT’S IMPORTANT. It’s like playing the floor is lava but with a side of “you’re fired” if you lose too many times.  We’ll do anythING to not be seen. Duck around corners, dive under tables, jump in the bushes, assume fetal position on the floor, climb trees, get in the robot, hide in the trojan horse, become a vampire, you fuckin name it.  My fav game while watching a movie is “guess where the crew is hiding in this shot” it’s great fun you should try it.  The only problem in this particular shot is there is nowhere to hide except behind the camera which IS MOVING REALLY FAST.  Why they didn’t just leave the room I have no idea. it could be any number of reasons. Time, lack of proper equipment, need to supervise/direct, etc.  The real question is how the hell did Gaga not fucking lose it seeing a herd of film nerds scamper desperately in circles behind the camera

An Open Letter to all our followers

Hello, everyone.

We thought long and hard whether or not to share this because it has never been a goal of our blog to publicly demonize anyone, especially our fellow fans. But to us, this post feels more like a much needed rant in face of an outrageous situation we’ve experienced over the course of this past week. We simply didn’t know how to get this horrible feeling of injustice off our chests if not by sharing it.

As most of you already know at this point, we run a large video library with pretty much every Omelia clip out there (scenes of pretty much every episode featuring Amelia and Owen plus interviews, BTS, etc.) It’s a hard and long process to keep that channel running. We have an amazing, incredibly talented and dedicated fan who is so invested in making the channel what it is that every week after the episodes airs, she gets the iTunes version and devotes her time to editing & cutting each scene to upload to our channel. 

Now, there are a few reasons why we get the iTunes file: One, it’s legal. Two, it’s not branded. So if you check our channel you’ll see that our clips don’t have the “abc” or “ctv” logo on them. That is also why we don’t add our own watermark to these clips: the images they contain don’t belong to us. We might own the edition, but we don’t own the content of the videos. Other channels or blogs might enjoy putting a tag on their work and that’s fine, it’s a choice, it’s just not one we feel comfortable with.

That being said, a while ago we were faced with an unusual situation. A fellow Youtube channel that is very well known amongst our fandom just happened to be coincidentally uploading episode clips and the same interviews as us hours or a day after we did. Even more incredibly, the length of each scene was exactly the same as ours. Even though we know that most scenes are short, it caught our attention that the edition was always absolutely identical. And on top of it all, those same clips had watermarks added to them. The very own logo of the channel who allegedly did not go through the trouble of getting the episode, extensively editing and cutting and then uploading these clips for the Omelia audience to watch them, but rather most likely had downloaded them from our channel without our permission, tagged them and passed them off as their own.

Shuffling through the crowd of JFK airport, as soon as I’m through the doors my eyes squint to adjust to the sunlight. It’s hot compared to London’s mild July warmth, and the bustle and the abrupt manner of New York is already palpable from my few steps. I’m home. 

I smile as I push my suitcase trolley to the left and stop in front of John, my driver. John’s as simple as they come, and I don’t mean IQ. The man knows more about everything than anyone I know. He’s simple in terms of his interactions. He doesn’t need to know the ins and outs of my day or my life, he doesn’t get overly involved: it’s a simple, “Where do you need to be and when?” That’s why I’ve always liked him. 

"Mr. Hunt, good to have you back,” he greets me, holding a hand out for me to shake.

“Good to be back,” I agree, shaking his hand. John takes the trolley from me and moves it round to the trunk as we continue talking. “Any news?"

why do you think Crowen is iconic? legit all I see on Tumblr is those comparing photos with the caption "it'll never be the same" and omelia is in the category along with jaggie, Riggs and Meredith, etc. and on the other side is crowen , meredere, calzona, japril etc

I actually don’t :) I don’t think Crowen is iconic, I think they are toxic and awful for each other. And if some people think differently, well thats their right and so be it.

While I acknowledge that Crowen has/had a big fanbase, it doesn’t bother me that people compare them to Omelia or say things like “it will never be the same.” They are over and Omelia is the present. Thats all that matters to me. I am not concerned about Crowen. I only care about Omelia :)  

The show has proven that Cristina and Owen don’t work together, in any possible scenario and that’s a lesson to be learned. Love isn’t always enough. Cristina is a super amazing character and she had the best ending she could possibly have. As a Cristina fan, I was very happy with the fate she was given.

The Island (part 10)

Welcome back. Sorry for such long hiatuses between parts. I’m useless, obviously! We get to find out what’s been causing Amelia so much stress. We also skip over a good month or two (my timelines are as accurate and reliable as Grey’s) towards the end because this story needs movement people! Part 11 and 12 will have a much quicker pace and shit will hit the fan.

The last thing I need is yet another person telling me what to do and what they think is the best option for my child. Unless they were there during every night feed, every diaper change, every stubbed toe, every defiant foot stamp, I’m not interested in their opinion. And that leaves only one to listen to- my own. The trouble is, I’m not sure what I think anymore. Perhaps a new perspective can help?

“You just can’t get emotionally involved with what is going on…” I say to Owen.

“OK.” He seems unsure and is slow to answer, so I check.

“Promise?”

“I promise,” he nods, holding his hands up in surrender.
