I see a lot of percy jackson and epic crossover, and the reason is obvious, but what I haven't seen is people specifically doing a crossover between EPIC and The Lightning Theif musical. That's what make the most sense, loose musical adaptations of source material dealing with greek myths. If it's viewed as just a world where people sing everything, they could literally exist in the same world without issue.

I'm choosing to believe that since Get in The Water takes place just off of Ithaca's coast, Penelope can see part of the argument occurring. Just her in her room, then "wait is that someone fighting Poseidon? What an idiot. OH SHIT THATS MY IDIOT!"

Then, right as she's scrambling over to look out the window, Odysseus opens the wind bag, and they're no longer in sight. That's why Penelope is confident in the archery challenge, she knows Odysseus is nearby

My greatest percy jackson mystery: how long was Sally pregnant with percy?

We know that Sally and poseidon only spent one summer together. We know that percys birthday is August 18.

That adds up to Sally getting pregnant in may/June, and being pregnant for about 3 months. Maybe 4. Or, she got pregnant at the end, and was pregnant for a year.

The dates don't add up. But I've seen it work both ways - demigods devolp faster than mortals or they devolp slower. But that's my biggest mystery

So, over the myths, the gods have cursed like countless mortals to be monsters of some sort. Arachne, Medusa (sometimes) and the like, specifically. But Typhon and Echidna and the 'Mother and Father' of monsters. So I vote that each time they hear about a mortal being turned into an immortal monster, they just call each other

"hey babe, new kid. Some girl bragged about being better than Artemis at hunting."

"Oh, word? Alright. I'll go find her. What's her name?"

And then they just adopt/kidnap the new monster. That's where 70% of their kids come from.

So I was musing about Posiedon's note in SoM (as you do) and realized that at first glance it's just about Thalia, it could also be about the di Angelos.

Poseidon would've known about Nico and Bianca, because there was no reason to hide them pre prophecy.

Percy gets the note in the summer before he turns 14. About 6 months later, he goes to Westover.

Now, admittedly I have no evidence of this, but I imagine that suddenly beginning to age again, after about 70 years of not aging, might make someone a bit sick. So if you account about a month to 1.5 months to adjust and recover from the Lotus Hotel, it would probably put the di Angelos starting school around mid-late August to early September, a normal time for school to start. (At least according to my American public school experiences)

So about 6 months after Percy gets his crappy yearly contact from Poseidon, which lines up to when Nico and Bianca mightve left the hotel, they meet Percy and Thalia.

I don't have much of a point, just a long ramble to point out the fact that Hey, maybe there could've been more to the note than just thalia reappearing.

Most unrealistic thing about Will Solace: I can't find a single instance of him saying "y'all". And since Will's from Texas, he should've said it at least once by now

What if Bianca di Angelo was always meant to die on Christmas 2007? Without the prophecy/Lotus casino, she would've been 91. A perfectly normal age to die at. I think that regardless of whether she was in the casino for 70, or 30 or only 1 year, ultimately she would've lived to die on that day. That's her destined death date.

Now, I don't know about what would happen if she was in the casino that day. Maybe she would desperately need fresh air and fall out a window, or choke on food and further traumatized Nico. But she would've died that day.

Kinda wish we saw more of the Legacies lives, like do they just get to go in the legion or when they're around 8-12 their parents go "fuck you here's lupa. See you in in a few months. Don't die."

I always see people showing Percy as a Katara enthusiast, wanting to be a water bender. But what about a percy who's a few years younger, and ends up watching Steven Universe instead? Seeing Lapis and going "I want to use water to transform and fight, not control and heal." By the time he goes to camp, he can create miniature water beings who can fight.

(Sort of like the shabti in KC, but with water)

He learns how to use water in the air to five himself flight - but he never goes too high, his Uncle hates him even more, with his powers being more destruction focused.

A Percy who can pull boulders off the ground, just using water. Who continues practicing his powers, to maybe one day lift a small building. A Percy who, when jumping off buildings, simply flies to safety. Who can create extra limbs with little thought. Who's loyalty to Olympus is only secured by his Father and girlfriend. What would happen when Zeus pushes this Percy to far?
