It wasn't his intention to scare anyone either, he just new the limits of his own magic and that the witch huntings hadn't been so long ago that they could be so easily forgotten by anyone with a magical gift or three. feeling those beautiful lips against his own was something he missed while not being at camp, probably more than he thought he missed them. "Doing better than last night.." Arthur attempts to chuckle, his laugh releases out as a weak sigh. Being a witch that kept his emotions far from the sight of others, Arthur would occasionally find it difficult to place where the cause of them. Finding out about Kawehi's passing and his apparent visit to the camping ground as a specter of some kind led Arthur in between two tough ideas to swallow. One being the safety of their campers was no longer guaranteed. The other being the safety of himself was no longer guaranteed as well.

It was a vile and intrusive thought that Arthur couldn't himself stop from thinking. The realization of this headspace landed Arthur in having very limited sleep in the night after Kawehi's visit. He'd hoped some company would help in easing Arthur's mind at the very least. He can't help the camp in any meaningful way if he hyperfocuses on his own thoughts.

His hand scratches the back of his head as he opens his cabin door wider for Javier to enter. "Would you like to come inside, I can make us a bit of tea? I think there might be a few things I can heat up as well."

"i'm glad you're at least doing a little better, last night was... a lot. would be very surprised if anyone was unphased by it." javier had made it his person responsibility and chore to check up on everyone, campers and counselors, who had witnessed the scene at the bonfire last night, this was his first stop of the morning. he knew how scary and weird it must have been for some of the others, especially the ones that had known the deceased witch. the young councilor still wasn't sure how he felt about his friends death, or possible murder, he hadn't really processed it, he would do that when he was alone in his cabin and when he had found out what had really happened to his friend, kawehl.
