Every RO has different reactions which also vary depending on a bunch of factors such as how much they've been romanced, which route your MC is on, which ROs your MC is specifically flirting with, etc... :)

Martin: a 9 because this lil guy is basically made up of angst. he's like those "is it cake?" videos except he isn't cake but angst

Evander: like a 6, trust me it gets easier after he realises you actually like him and he likes you back. who knew that what evander really needed all along was to look up the definition of love?
Harley: a 7, mostly bc of all the mutual pining in the crushing stage
Echo: a 6-. echo is really chill tbh there's still angst but it's probably the softest route
Dominic: 10/10, this is the most frustrating route for sure. you might want to give up several times, but i assure you there's a light after the (very very long) tunnel

Bruno is a bit on the shyer side, so he prefers befriending, and I quote, "extroverts that will adopt him". More generally though, he leans toward kind and gentle people that will make him feel comfortable opening up, as well as people more experienced than him so they can give him meaningful advice.
Another quality he really values is always making him feel included, as in never treating like a back-up or leaving him behind whenever they're around other people.
Brynn values traits such as being able to respect her privacy and boundaries, as well as being trustworthy when she does eventually decide to share those parts of life. This aspiring Nature Guardian would of course also like to befriend individuals with similar interests as her, such as 'being outside' and enjoying nature, volunteering at animal shelters, and taekwondo.
Don't count on her admitting it, but during the upcoming season you'll realise how much she leans toward people with an attitude. ;)
Chianti couldn't give you a straight answer to this question. He claims to be able to befriend anyone, and he adds that even a person opposite to him in every aspect could be his friend.
BUT, there is to say that if befriending him is your goal, helping him out with his Magic is a good—if not the best—way to start!
Nora wants people that will never make her feel like she's unwanted or a bother. She especially values something she calls "the spark" just like in a romantic relationship, AKA that giddy mood she gets in whenever she sees that person, the feeling that they will never betray her, and simply that warmth in her heart that only her friends can bring her.

imo a character doesn't have less value simply because they aren't romanceable, thats why I've decided that while you're able to casually flirt with for example Bruno, he isn't an RO and he has his own love interest and eventual drama that comes with that (which you can help him with!). idk, I think it's cute that the MC + the ROs aren't the only people potentially finding love on the show :)
so I'm excited to see you guys' reactions to being able to become really good friends (and even play therapist matchmaker) with the rest of the cast !! there will be drama, heartbreak, friendship, and your actions will impact how people both in and out the show feel about you. Yes, Echo believes in love at first sight (or at least the concept of it), but she's never actually experienced it. She has developed crushes on people solely based on their appearances though, but it wasn't anything deep nor real: more often than not she would try to get to know these people better and realise they really don''t match.
