Little sort of doodle I made earlier today! I just wanted to draw the two magma admins doing some sort of funny pose. Looks like they are taking some sort of selfie? Hehe (*^^*)
Proton stares back at the girl. If that’s what she wants to do, okay. He has to resist the temptation to laugh at her following comment. Either she’s making a joke with herself or she’s just strange, whichever one it is, Proton finds it entertaining.
He would leave, but unfortunately for her, this person’s a tad too interesting to get off that easily. A worthwhile enough person to bother interacting with. Proton’s gaze follows where Karagi points next. Yup, another rock. What else was he expecting? Though why she singled that particular rock out from the practically identical (to Proton, anyways) ones around it, Proton does not know. Geologists are weird, he’ll just settle with that theory.
Focus back to Karagi. “Y’know, if you’re so keen on giving your wild rock collection some space, why don’tcha just… pick ‘em up and take ‘em back to your base or whatever to look at?” That seems both easier and more sensical. It’s not as if the rocks will cease to exist once removed from their natural habitat, and then she’s not muttering at passersby. Win-win situation, thanks for the suggestion, Proton.
He moves to stand more behind her, peering over Karagi’s shoulder. “Who are ya anyways, Magma grunt or what?” Knowing a name might help a bit. Or rank, considering he’s hardly likely to remember names.
She listens closely to his footsteps, waiting for them to fade out but instead Proton simply moves behind her and offers unwanted suggestions and questions. She doesn't acknowledge his presence physically but does formulate a response.
"I don't want to... bring a useless rock back. I find what is... I find what is useful. No more no less." Maybe a bit of perfectionism on Kagari's side but she was definitely not willing to associate anything sub par with herself officially and she was just stubborn enough to not take them anywhere with her for those reasons.
Something feels a bit off as the stranger leans in closer, looming over them in a nosy sort of way. It only takes a moment for her to process it and immediately hunches her shoulders.
"Too close." The admin warns and stops working, waiting for him to give back their rather spacey personal bubble. Once she feels at least a bit more comfortable, she actually takes note of the next question.
"Haha... Haha... Why should I.. tell you?" Kagari wasn't much for alliances unless she was ordered to make one. Why pretend she was playing along? That's not fun. "Why don't you.. guess my rank. Like a test of your... ability to see skill from the outside."
"Experiment.. start. ♫"
Kagari hates physical contact. Even though she's mostly covered up, being in close proximity to people or being touched, held, grabbed, hugged or any variation actually grosses her out. They'll often demand distance even when it doesn't seem necessary.
If you wanted to get them used to it you'd have to be incredibly close with them and always ask for permission. Even then, she doesn't fully understand the feelings behind what's so great about holding hands or being pressed up together when there's so much room.
By the way... even though Kagari goes by both they and she pronouns please don't call her a woman or girl in your narration because they are genderless. Admin, trainer, person, etc. are all good alternatives.
It was a relief to see the admin following, and if he noticed how the handkerchief had been abandoned, then he did nothing about it. Instead, he continued to lead Kagari somewhere she could rest, more focused on thinking about how to get the admin to recover quickly than anything else.
"If you rest, take medicine, and eat well, then this illness should just be a day." Shortly after this, Kuzumi would lead Kagari to a nearby house, then motion her toward a room. "I’m going to get the medicine, so make yourself comfortable. If you need anything, then there’s a communication screen near the bed. Just turn it on, and I’ll answer."
Kuzumi paused so he could watch Kagari. Was she going to argue about this, now that they had gone this far? It’s not like the house was bad or anything. One-story, but homey. In every room, there were electronics and books to investigate, and delicious scents were already wafting through the house from the kitchen.
"You’ll be back in… full-working condition soon. Promise."
By the look on her face it's clear she's uncomfortable but doesn't seem to want to speak out about it. Instead she walks in a bit of a march to the room where she's led and stands in the middle of it, looking around at the contents the area had to offer. It was much different to the HQ. Like a regular house. Strange. She hadn't been inside one for a while.
"Okay. You're obligated to... fix me by... tomorrow. That's an order." Despite being told to settle into the house like a guest, Karagi stays standing where she first set herself, sniffling every so often. "
It was weird to be taken care of by someone else. Her fellow admin and leader sort of played a similar role, if you count working together and living under the same roof. Of course, her parents also did this once but that felt like such a long time ago. Aren't humans meant to grow out of being cared for? Well, Karagi couldn't say.
It wasn’t very often one comes across a person absorbed in staring at the ground. There’s the ‘uncomfortable staring at the ground’, that’s one thing, but the impression of intent analysis is another. That’s the odd part.
Though they are decked out in Magma gear, so Proton can’t say he’s surprised. If he’s gonna find anyone peering at rocks, of course it’s going to be that collection of oddities. This one, though… not one of the Magma members he recognizes. Grunt or executive? Who knows. He’ll find out, presumably.
Curiosity leads Proton to walk up behind her. He knows with his luck this might not end well, but he can hope whatever she’s up to will at least prove interesting. He wasn’t, however, expecting to get called out for walking over the wrong way. And, what, bothering specimens?
"It is a rock." Proton says this with a tone of mild surprise that it needs to be said at all. This should be obvious. Why is he being warned about disturbing a rock? It’s not like it’s going to run away on her. Or change much. At all. “I don’t think it needs a three-foot personal bubble to stay not disturbed.”
At the response she lifts her head, eyes locking with the stranger's for a bit too long. Her expression has 'unimpressed' written all over it. Of course it's a rock. They clearly weren't a researcher of any sort, at least not of geological subjects, so it's to be expected... but she was insistent on having the rocks be left undisturbed.
"......... Target... scanned. Status unconfirmed. Potentially uncooperative. Hehe... heh...♪" Her words aren't hushed but are seemingly aimed at herself like some sort of joke or outward thought. Afterwards the Magma member goes quiet again, just long enough to lightly dust the rock she was holding and jot down another few notes. "Do not step on... my other subject It's there..." Karagi points towards the silver looking stone about the size of a hand that rested in the dusty soil.
It doesn't really cross her mind that the person might intend to stay. Surely after that clarification they would just leave. If not, then they would be officially uncooperative and might take some direct intervention to delete... but for now she had things to do.
Color.. light ash and silver, some shiny substance between the cracks. Potentially will need to be opened to see if there are different minerals below the surface, after testing of the sparkling material. Rather sturdy in composition, not brittle. Doesn't react to touch....

The width is... The height is... What about its luster...
When Karagi was put on a task, that was typically the main thing running through her mind on repeat. Complete focus and attention was needed for these things, or else something could go wrong. Mistakes aren't professional or acceptable.
At the moment her self-proclaimed task was studying a peculiar rock. Meteorites and powerful stones weren't something very secretive or uncommon to her region and it was always smart to check out any that caught her attention. Call it an extra sense but the admin was convinced she had the ability to foresee potential.
"... Don't... move any closer. You'll disturb... my next subject." Karagi doesn't so much as glance upward as she speaks, warning someone moving up the path to stop and go around another way. There was another rock up ahead that she wanted to see. If someone stepped on it that could potentially ruin a possible discovery.
They'd always been rather shameless and this was no exception. Decked out in her full uniform as usual, she had already pulled out a small notebook and a few tools to tend to her work while taking up most of the path.
I have to spend a while on a project but if we're mutuals and you want a starter like this post! I'll get to them later tonight.
She already asked? Kuzumi must have missed that, and since Oudies was just snickering, he guessed he really did miss it. Whoops! He’d have happily answered too, but with how the admin seemed to be wandering around like a lost Poochyena, Kuzumi decided he’d get to it later.
For now, he wanted to just follow the girl and make sure she didn’t end up actually being lost. It was easy for the martial artist to keep up with Kagari, even when there were trees around. Actually, it may have been noticed that Kuzumi’s being among the trees actually kept him closer to Kagari compared to when they were weaving around buildings.
"I’m just curious," was the eventual answer. What did she mean by ‘dealt with as a virus’? Oh, whatever; it was still a threat probably, and one which made Kuzumi smile. "It’s not often I see someone from Team Magma wandering around.
"I wouldn’t doubt it’s not positive," he’d go on as he stretched. "I don’t care enough about people to make a good first impression. They don’t usually care to understand me, anyway."
"You're too close." She warns, picking up the pace. It was her responsibility to know the ins and outs of Hoenn, so even if they managed to get off course she'd be able to find her way back. Though at this point who knows how long it will take.
His answer is just as annoying as his stubborn behavior but reveals something interesting. He knows who Team Magma is and is following her for it but claims to not have any particularly important reason. Hm. So just what was this person's background...
"Are you interested in.. us? We take donations, you know." It was both genuine and a little snarky. She was used to this sort of thing. Being watched and studied like a caged Pokemon.
Kuzumi makes it very evident that he doesn't have much concern about her thoughts or desires. That was much like herself to others but it was much more dangerous to do to the admin of a large organization like Team Magma. Karagi notes that as potential confidence or skill in battling.
"You're funny♫ Watch your step... You might get... haha.. crushed."
wild-one-kuzumi:
"I’m not," admitted the martial artist as he plucked a ball off his belt, then summoned his Infernape. After giving the Pokemon quick orders in another language, Kuzumi returned his attention to Kagari. "But your superior wouldn’t be pleased to see you like this, so let me assist."
That said, he’d motion for the Magma Admin to join him so he could lead the girl somewhere to rest. When she sneezed instead, Kuzumi pulled out a handkerchief, then offered it.
"You’re not broken," insisted Kuzumi. "Just… in need of a bit of maintenance. Not broken. Just not working at 100%." By the king, Kuzumi hoped this Magma member would let him help out.
The Pokemon makes her puff up a little and stand taller than before. She watches it carefully as it runs to do an errand that wasn't in any language she could understand. Both of those things came across as threatening. What was it doing?
"Hn..?" A handkerchief blocks part of her view and takes Karagi's attention away from the Infernape. She takes the cloth slowly without touching Kuzumi and holds it in both hands, staring at it a strangely long time before actually using it to wipe her nose. Afterwards, she drops it without a second thought. "..."
"Maintenance... I should always be at 100%. This.. needs to go away.. immediately." With some hesitance she follows but keeps a comfortable distance between them. "According to... my knowledge the typical illness may take anytime from a day.. a day to a few weeks. I won't take a break for that long."
"Understandable, I guess."
Kuzumi shrugged his shoulders as Kagari made it clear that she wasn’t going to reveal her name. That was perfectly fine with the martial artist. When it came down to it, Kuzumi figured it was probably better for the Magma member to keep it to herself anyway. After all, it probably wasn’t safe to share such personal information with an outsider, right?
Not that such logic has ever stopped Kuzumi from ingeniously sharing his own information.
"I could tell you," replied Kuzumi as he resumed following Kagari. It didn’t occur to him that, just maybe, the young woman wanted him to begone. "But you’d have to ask first." He’d flash the admin a grin as he hurried to walk beside the girl.
"How far did you get with your analysis? What did you learn about me?"
... Still here. Still talking. Still pressing.
Kagari doesn't want to continue where she was headed in case he decided to try and follow. Instead she mostly tries to lose him by weaving in different directions and around buildings and trees.
She catches the grin out of the corner of her eye and her brows furrow. Was that meant to be charming or clever? It was something she didn't quite understand, nor liked. She practically already asked him, didn't she? If anything, he should have stated his business without needing to prompted.
"I did." The admin keeps her gaze forward strictly now, her steps are coordinated and as robotic as her tone. "Answer... or you will be dealt with as a virus." It wouldn't be too much longer if they kept asking questions.
"That's classified. Though... I'm sure... you already know that it's not a... positive reading. Hahaha..."
School
”Category.. School.. Positive.doc.Learning and showing my capabilities. Praise.
Category.. School.. Negative.doc.Rather…. isolated. They did not understand my.. goals and passions.”
Kagari speaks with a similar blank tone throughout but the last sentence has a sense of underlying anger. She doesn't seem to be willing to say anything specific.
"Are you taking care of yourself properly? Here, lay down and get comfortable. I'll make some soup, get you some medicine. Don't you start working! Health comes first."
”……Ew. Gross. Hah…” Kagari pats her face in disgust. Groggy… nose clogged… head aching. This wasn’t meant to happen to an admin, let alone to herself. She always made sure her health was impeccable. So why..?
”I can do as I please. You aren’t my… my superior.” They send an accusatory stare in Kuzumi’s direction, staying exactly where she was, only to sneeze a few moments later which results in her recoiling in disgust. “I am broken.”
Your Muse has found out that my Muse is sick, how do they react?

Put a word in my askbox and I will give you a bad AND good memory from my muse's past that associates with said word.
“ I was a part of team plasma, from Unova. ”
He almost felt bad for bugging her now. But how she was acting did make him rather curious. That was for sure.
"Team.... Plasma...."
"Searching... Searching... Confirmed. I do remember the.. organization you mean. I studied it... But you say 'was'. Key word." Kagari eyes the other without any hesitation or intention of looking away soon. Not but a moment later, a smile hints at her features. "Is it... revenge you seek? Heh."
There was a puzzled smile on Kuzumi’s lips as he followed Kagari, and it broadened just a bit upon the abrupt stop. Whoops; did he say something wrong? Should he apologize now, and hope the member of Magma didn’t pull out a weapon or something?
Kuzumi paused as he tilted his head. She spoke like one of His Majesty’s computers, except a bit slower. That was interesting, and it made Kuzumi even more curious about her; why did she speak like that?
"Oh, I don’t need to know,” replied Kuzumi as he shrugged; pleasant, albeit puzzled, smile still on his lips. “It’s just polite to ask after introducing myself. Sorry if I offended you.”
"Hah."
That's all she says at first, almost amused at how they were treating her. It was like she was a simple passerby. Was that simply foolish on Kuzumi's part or was Magma losing its visibility?
".... If you don't need it.. I won't tell you. Haha. ♪" Kagari turns on one heel, finally looking over the stranger with an air of disinterest. "I've analyzed you. I've analyzed you but I don't.. know what you want."
They were almost curious... just almost. Nothing she'd said as of yet drove him off. It reminded her a little of someone else in particular. Unexpected... That's how they'd describe it.
