Enough time has gone by— the only thing I enjoyed about the AU ep for ar/cane was the dance (and that was because of the cinematography) and the fact ekko got to see benzo.

#bigger hot take: do not care for AU her— i found the writing choices there were simply not great #only thing that pleased me was seeing ek get to have some moments where he didn't have the entire world on his shoulders #because he deserved to have some reprieve #but the rest of that ep could've been handled much better imo

The thing about Kataang is that even just at a person to person level, they respect and admire each other so much. You can always count on Aang to sing Katara's praises (about things like how extremely skilled she is as a waterbender, for how wonderfully kind, determined, loving, resillient, and thoughtful she is) and you can count on Katara to do just the same for him (for his strength, his wisdom, compassion, and desire to do the best that he can in his role).

They believe in each other so much and it shows. It shows when they're happy. It shows when they're motivating and supporting each other in their endeavors. It show when they're comforting and talking to each other during sad moments. It shows when things get overwhelming and rough. It even shows when they're in disagreement because they are open enough to actually talk to each other about their respective POVs. They may not always agree and they may get frustrated, but it's never based in any place other than concern.

They just want the best for each other and they want to help each other be the best and I just think it's beautiful.

it’s funny how we’re getting to the point in the AI lifespan where you can feel the desperation from tech companies to have you use their AI features. instagram has moved their AI effects to the top of the menu when you’re creating a post for your story, exactly where the draw/edit button used to be. gmail is creating one-click AI-generated replies right before you open up the text box. spotify put a beta AI playlist generator on the front page that looks just like a search bar so all of their users accidentally click on it when they go to search for a song.

tech companies are shaking in their boots trying to prove to shareholders that their investment in AI is worth it, to the point where they’re tricking their users into using the AI features even for a split second in order to fudge the numbers. like awww is your little environment-destroying toy not wielding the results you hoped for? so sad!
