People keep asking me what are my favorite ships and if i like MadaTobi and TobiIzu. I will answer here:

My OTP is HashiMada.

I also like ShikaTema, MinaKushi, KakaObi, NaruSasu, YahikoKonan and SasoDei.

About MadaTobi and TobiIzu…..eh, i really don’t like them, i’m sorry.

I really don’t like shipping anything that doesn’t already have a solid canon foundation. I don’t necessarily mean “they are/were canonically in a romantic and/or sexual relationship”, but I DO think that characters have to have a reasonable level of interaction with one another canonically that can be interpreted as romantic/sexual.

With MadaTobi and TobiIzu…..there is literally nothing in the manga. Except hate for each other and just two interactions.

This isn’t simply because HashiMada it’s the only relationship of his that’s really been explored, either. Madara has just expressed surprisingly little interest in Tobirama during the War Arc, even if Tobirama killed Izuna. He attacked him with the black rods, but only because Tobirama attacked him first. Compare that to how many times he has brought up Hashirama in what is very clearly emotionally-wrought moments. Hell, he never even tried to get his revenge on Tobirama, because he was more interested in maintaining his relationship with Hashirama. Even when that fell apart, he still didn’t kill Tobirama and he didn’t truly care about him (him saying he wanted to when they were Edos doesn’t change the fact that he didn’t do it when he easily could have).

Hashirama really…takes the foreground in Madara’s emotional life (his brothers excluded). That’s pretty clear.

Same Tobirama and Izuna. There is nothing to say.

These ships can work only if the characters are OOC. Not a fan, because i prefer IC characters.

Sometimes i see comments like “Hashirama and Madara shouldn’t be shipped because they became enemies”, or “because Madara is a villain”, or “because Madara has a weird, creepy obsession” etc etc

Well…..this is one of the reasons I like them.

They have a deep bond and there is mutual kindness between them (especially as a kids), but at the same time Hashimada is a very dark, tragic and complex ship.

They’re not “boring” and their canon relationship in the manga is very interesting. They also have a lot of chemistry and they look hot together.
