I don’t even know why people even go for guns…
This just in guns are never used in crime and are innocent and dont hurt people look at all these distractions for example…
Gosh that’s a nice scarecrow you made!
bro these are obviously hurt kids, why yall not expecting stupid shit.
I’m far, far more understanding of why a traumatized child would repeat the sentiments of a lobby that has a very good PR program and promises safety …
Than I am the adults who saw fit to parade her in front of a microphone to spit propaganda they fed her to push their bullshit agenda.
Murder by knife rose by 1000% in Britain when they banned guns. Bad people do bad things no matter what
@fitotrd Yes, guns are used in crime. It doesn’t go away or even slow down if you try to take them away though. As well as the fact that the only reason the US isn’t a province of the United Kingdom is the average citizen’s access to firearms and yes it is still relevant today history never becomes irrelevant just forgotten or pushed aside for a goal. @horminishostilis It is not a scarecrow its a series of factual happenings that anyone can find the information on but you don’t have a way to refute it so you joked about it and act like that’s some kind of argument or inditement of the above, I find it kind of funny that that’s your whole statement on it but you look like a tit saying it. It’s fruitless to say it the way you did, it literally adds nothing to the conversation but I hope it felt good to say at least. And to the second one Yeah sorry but the modern internet is a megaphone too and I’m supposed to believe and accept that a majority of kids are going to be pulling out of school to make Congress do something with no provocation from an outside party but I can because it’s pretty well accepted one way or another everyone reacts differently to stress. Be it the kids that have gone though, lived through, survived the extreme happenings and attacks over the years or have seen it through multimedia. Everyone gets draws an opinion. There are children out there espousing the beliefs of both sides on every modern media especially here on Tumblr so miss me with that. No ones right and no ones wrong here and everyone acts so stupidly over it. I have to have a fucking giggle once in a while over it so I don’t go crazy over it. Gun laws don’t stop criminals that’s a fact. Grow up, whether or not you like to realize it they are already breaking the law by the time the shooting starts in most cases and it’s not that the laws aren’t taken seriously by lawmakers and enforcers, it’s just fucking unenforceable, an unreasonable expectation, for the most part, to enforce every gun law in its varied nature when they move and change like fucking seasons. Are you daft? Criminals have their hands on automatic weapons and have channels to get them from other countries but it’s against the law on a federal level to own one. Can’t be enforced police by whatever name, they can’t be everywhere, not in ever back alley or private residence and you’re telling me they can enforce mag sizes and what kind of stock you can have on your weapon and what it looks like cuz it can be a semi-automatic rifle that fires 223 or 7.62x39 but oh-ho-ho boy it’s can’t look like an AR-15 or a member of the AK family. God knows those skins do double damage. It’s stupid and it’s just more text on a page that’s getting too long to read and only stops law abiding citizens. People that want to take it down to the range and have fun, go hunting, and protect themselves if that absolute worst thing that can happen happens. Anyone reading, mind’s eye, okay? Picture this. Your door is kicked in in the middle of the night. You call the police but the people that broke in your door hear you doing it. You’ve locked the bedroom door but they want in they are breaking it down right fucking now. Maybe it’s one person or two or four people you don’t fucking know but they want in. ‘The police will be there shortly.’ Your door is coming apart as the emergency services speaker says that too you. Police move as fast as humanly possible to every call but you haven’t got the kind of time they need to get to you. Protect yourself. You can run from your home, jump out the window, hide in your room or fight an unknown enemy with unknown numbers that may or may not have weapons themselves and considering they are in your house illegally they probably do. Those are all assuming you have the ability to do any of those. There is a risk in all of them but a gun sure as fuck levels the playing field in that last one. If you survive that you’re at some similar level of trauma to the child your talking about that got paraded around and you regardless of age might feel justified in talking on it, sharing your emotions as a human and maybe finding some solace in getting to share something that you might then feel or have felt very powerfully on but hey your just a dumb person, adult or child, being paraded around at that point, aren’t you? Not like some might have wanted to hear what you have to say. No. Your just and dancing idiot and don’t realize your dancing to there toon but who cares? Who can blame you? You’ve been through a lot. Read what I said a couple of times before you leave a pissy comment @horminishostilis . After a reread, you might not be so pissy. Please don’t take it personally just take it and think about it and get back to me. Publicly or privately or not at all cuz I could care less because I had fun writing this, it felt good to say. :) @killgar Yep but no one likes example of them being wrong and it has to be pushed out of the way, sometimes by accident even. History and fact are amazing when they are on your side but the second something comes up that harms your argument (and I mean this for everyone) it’s less relevant then your facts or statements supported by hundreds of years of history. ‘Oh but that has nothing to do with this’ , ‘it’s just a scarecrow’ , ‘it was too long ago to matter’ , ‘oh well your just cherry picking facts’ , so on and so on. Humans hate to be wrong, no matter what, but it takes a real person to adapt and grow and see more than one frame of an argument. Hopefully, someone reads this and grows whoever that may be. :P
Look I’m gonna be honest I skimmed this for the simple fact that:
But I’m super glad that you feel good about misreading a comment and going off on an argument that I literally didn’t make.
Okay well then it was an honest mistake and I’m an adult that can admit that. Sorry to waste your time on it then. If you read it, was it a good argument? I was trying to make it for what seems to be your side of the debate as well, what did you think? @hominishostilis

Wishing a speedy recovery to Anthony Borges, 15. Used his body to hold a door closed to protect his classmates. Shot 5 times Hero.
There’s a GoFundMe for him. I donated $5 and the total is about $30k as of now (2/18/2018) but hopefully more can be raised to help bills.

Kid who protected other kids from a school shooter with his life has to ask for donations to cover the cost of recovering from being shot. Capitalism at work!
Please donate if you can. This system is evil, but we have to do our best to not lose our humanity in it.

Humans hate to be wrong, no matter what, but it takes a real person to adapt and grow and see more than one frame of an argument. Hopefully, someone reads this and grows whoever that may be. :P

War is like a day at Sunday school. Everyone is there for the same reason and it's rare that anybody learns anything that will stay with them for long.

And before anyone makes any 4/20 weed comments, the date is the anniversary of the Columbine massacre.
The lives lost in shootings are a tragedy, that is an immutable fact. I don’t want to be seen as insincere on that front. These are flat and bold-faced tragedies. Just consider this. Do laws stop criminals? It is already illegal to have a gun in a school save for a few distinct school districts that allow trusted staff to concealed carry. More often than not these attacks are carried out by people using already breaking the law, Illegal weapons (automatic weapons as example), are not allowed to legally carry firearms (criminals, persons not deemed mentally fit, age restrictions (18 blanket for the entire US under Feral Law to buy a firearm from any licenced dealer) as examples), and happen in places where it’s against the law to carry a firearm (schools as example). Before someone brings it up the Los Vegas shooting was not something that could be stopped. The man was a millionaire even if firearms where entirely illegal, no a gun in any of the 50 states he had the money and means to get them from other countries and bring them to the states, the man had a plan, a deep unknown motivation, and absolutely no history of any kind. We also do not have all or even half of the information concerning what all he had in the room, how he got it there, anything so an argument over it is moot here. I guarantee though the stuff, not all but some, he had had to be illegal and still ties into the above. I’m not trying to be that person and I as some who has been shot by an illegal firearm in the hands of a criminal is saying this. I know that in my heart of hearts there is no gun law, no enforceable gun law, that can change a majority of these tragedies or avoid what I went through. Not even if I had been concealed carrying, would not and could not have changed my situation. Nor can it change situations like the Los Vagus shooting or the Texas tower shooting but to say fewer guns in the hands of law abiding citizens seems a step in the wrong direction for me and in my opinion, the place this is most evident is in Chicago and whether it has the strictest gun laws in the country is moot here it was held up to be an example by many for a concealed carry free city, this is gunna be the face of new America that the every-man did not need worry whether his naboor caried a gun in his waist coat, that police alone can protect a city, we had moved beyond the days of the old west and the fear of the mafi. Which it was concealed carry from the early 80′s to 2010 was illegal to concealed carry but the problem is crime grew a lot in that time. Near thirty years of solid criminal growth because facts are facts. A city of any size doesn’t have the money or manpower to police itself with 100% efficiency like that. Police officers can’t be everywhere at once, they have to deal with law that they see being broken, if you get pulled over for speeding the cop stopped you because you where and are the most important crime in the vicinity, he’s probably rather be stopping the home invasions, grand theft, rapes, murders that are happening in the city but he can’t be everywhere and he must treat every crime with the even severity that breaking the law entails. He or she or they or whatever you wanna call it is stuck writing a ticket while someone being shot or stab to death, raped at gunpoint, and so on but it’s not a law-abiding citizen that goes out to murder or rape and if everyone else in the city doesn’t have a gun but the criminals do and there aren’t enough police to stop every crime or that have to deal with every mouthy person getting pulled over that's reminding them that they really do have better things to be dealing with than someone that got impassent and had to speed somewhere or even real petty crime like some teen that didn’t wanna pay for their new shoes or jewlary and decide to try and steal it but got caught. Then the tall and the short is you need to see to yourself whatever that means and by whatever means. They call it petty crime for a reason. TLDR sum: Laws don’t stop bad things from happening and only effect law abiding citizens. There is no way to have enough police in enough places to stop all of what is happening and has happened. Shooting and shooters are already committing to criminal acts in the face of the laws that exist means, a thousand more words on a page won’t stop gun crime and will probably just make it worse. Why someone with Dong in their name has to be the one to say it I really don’t know but I’m really trying not to be a dick when I feel like I taking crazy pills for being the one seeing how dumb it is to try and stop crimes and criminals with more no gun here signs when they are proven to make places targets, with capacity and weapon modifications that are already being shrugged off by the people committing attacks with firearms, trying to force change on your elected offical is not a bad thing but here I don’t see the point. Call a representative tell them your name, what you want, who you know and what things you feel need to be changed and how your vote might just be going elsewhere next election. Sure I’ve done that before, with net neutrality recently actually that’s one thing but you realize that as non-adults, teens, kids you have minimum rights, right? You can get your parents ticketed, yourselves in massive amounts of trouble, etc. the organizing students behind it might get themselves kicked out of school, lose opportunities down the line. I mean you all have a right to an opinion but Uncle Sam isn’t gonna pay your teachers or the district for it the days it’s empty, the state probably not either. Which effects your families and communities, not some elected official that might just find your parents out of spite. This is holding your breath to teach some else a lesson when they really don’t mind how purple you get. If these are college students that wanna walk out righteous and free you’ll be free of your scholarship(s) and/ or whoever might be helping you achieve these goals of greater learning. If you're going it yourself and it’s all your money, good on you not even kidding I respect that so much, but you can get kicked out lose the money you put in for the year, extreme decine in grades from profs that aren’t going to care for your idlic crap because you’re here to learn, change in books by the time you get back money, money, money and that’s why I’d say not to do it really. I have never had the time or money for college. I’ma be swoosing right into a freed spot and some freed up scholarship money if this all comes to pass and college or high school going into college students walk oooh boy this is gonna be the year I start and ma-make ma’ma proud. ;) TLDR sum: #StayInSchoolKids and find another way to attack things because while it’s romantic, it will ultimately not net you what you want and if you really actually want it. Seriously get organized, position, go long game if you gunna go, you have parents and guardians talk to them about organising a non-denominational vigil for the victims that night, all welcome affair and go something positive, and unifying first and from there organise more see who really wants to do something and start proposing ideas and calling your officials. If everyone involved has one to four voting age people in their family you can really leverage those numbers because you're going to look like brats in a walk out. Approach this as adults, fight on the right level, politicians don’t care about kids, they care about voters, if they are in an office next term, they are playing long game you should too but look into what you’re trying to ask of them long and hard first, please. Sorry to ramble about everything there but yeah like fucking wow just it seem dumb to be narrow minded as some people are on gun control, yeah laws feel good but what do they do and who do they effect in are as so the reasons gun laws exist the way they do but if they really are going to go at this I’d rather not see a ton of people get hurt in their own backlash, I’d love to see some actual community unity over the deaths of 99, not more bull shit so there above is a real suggestion for what you wanna do here if you wanna do it.
