it was like the ghost of some guy named chad took over me so i didn’t like embarrass myself

VIXIV - A Board Game about Wildlife and the People who Manage it.

You may have herd me talk about this project before, but I’m proud to announce that VIXIV has just gone live on Kickstarter!

This project has consumed almost 3 years of my free time and my passion for wildlife and conservation education. So I am ecstatic that it is finally ready to pass on to all of you!

What Is VIXIV?

I’ll be brief here, but VIXIV is a competitive boardgame for 2-6 people. The players are interns in a wildlife department and must manage and grow their wildlife populations while competing with each other for limited resources and the attention of the ever coveted professional mentors.

To me, the most beautiful elements of this game is the fact that people can learn real world ecological processes and facts simply by playing. The animals are real species, the terrain and biomes are real, even the mentors are based off real important figures in the scientific field.

I’m a foster mother to 100 baby spiders

Okay so the other day I was taking the trash out and my nail caught on a spider egg sac!

Unfortunately it split open and all the little eggs came tumbling out and luckily landed in a box.

After getting them all in a glass, I was left with several questions, no answers and guilt! But I asked in a few spider groups and got a tutorial on making a spider incubator!
