ok you guys helped me so much yesterday, i finally wrote a song in around 30 minutes

holding a funeral for this beloved shirt i got at a goodwill 6 years ago. to say i’m devastated is an understatement. my poor baby has been destroyed.

i don’t think it’s coincidental that a lot of the greatest art is created by queer people. i know a lot of it directly correlates to the isolation we feel from the world, which leads us to reflect inwards to try to find out what’s “wrong” with ourselves, and i think most people already know that. however, i also believe that as humans we have this almost primal urge to create, and for most people that probably manifests in creating a family; having children. for a lot of queer people, having a child is difficult, if not unattainable, and so we find other ways to fulfill that need to create. we turn to sculpting, writing, painting, sketching, dancing, etc., because we are, at the end of the day, human, and have to make something out of our existence. queer people are commonly responsible for so many of the massively influential bodies of work because we are queer.
