In either of your verses, since shane is so popular, do you think ilya ever finds himself getting territorial? Everyone's in love with his man 😔 and because you mentioned it in the social media post, what about vice versa? Does ilya appreciate shane glaring daggers at others who are getting too close to his alpha/dom? (Thank you for replying to ideas/hcs here....its so fun to see in between chapters!!)

To answer your question: I think they do both get a little territorial, but I think the flavor of it varies between the AUs.

In the Omegaverse AU: I think the territoriality is more primal from both of them. I think Ilya isn't particularly controlling, but he's so perceptive that he's definitely Noticing when other alphas are interested in Shane. And it's fine for them to be interested!! But he's also definitely going to sling an arm around Shane's shoulder and tuck him close to his side to make sure no one gets the wrong idea. If there's any inappropriate behavior, he's going to let his eyes flash red and step in to put an end to it. I think he feels a little better once Shane has his mating bite, but he's still keeping an eye out. He probably has to rein himself in some, though, because being in an alpha-dominated sport just means that a lot of Shane's social circle is going to consist of alphas, and it wouldn't be fair for Ilya to try to curtail that. (But if Ilya is a little touchy at team parties to make sure everyone know Shane is spoken for, no one really blames him.)

I think omega!Shane is also very territorial! I actually have a fic idea that I want to write where Shane gets in trouble for getting jealous early on in the public portion of their relationship. I think he might get taken along with Ilya to some social event early in the season when their relationship hadn't been well publicized yet, and it's the first time they've really attended an event as a couple. Shane is still on chemical scent-blockers, so while he smells like Ilya, Ilya does not smell like an alpha with an omega partner! So, Ilya has a well-meaning omega flirt with him, and he handles it by politely not entertaining the flirting and pulling Shane closer to make it clear he came with someone, which ends the flirting. Shane, though, is very upset. This is the first time he's ever had a real partner and seen someone else flirt with them!! He's feeling insecure and threatened, and he doesn't really know where to put those feelings. He handles the emotion by being kind of bitchy to the other omega, shooting dirty looks for the rest of the night and making a few catty comments that aren't overly cruel, but do cross the line.

When they leave, Ilya is like "So, you're in trouble. You know that was inappropriate." And Shane is sooo pissed, he's halfway to stomping his foot and crying because why is HIS alpha defending another omega?

And Ilya just has to make it clear to Shane that "I'm not ever, ever going to entertain or flirt with another omega when I'm your alpha, but I'm also not going to create trouble at an event by overreacting to someone being misinformed about my relationship status when I could just inform them, which I did."

Anyways, then I think Shane handles this by going off of his scent blockers so that his scent returns and Ilya will always smell like an alpha with an omega, which effectively frees Ilya to not have to deal with "uninformed" omegas, because Shane would rather smell like an omega than see his alpha get flirted with!!! After that, I think Ilya gives Shane the go-ahead to shoot flirtatious omegas all the dirty looks he wants because they really should know better when he smells like Shane. (And I think Ilya would maybe even be a little smug about it at times).

In the BDSM AU: I think they're both a little territorial, but it's much less instinct driven and also generally more relaxed. I think the omegaverse has a much stronger emphasis on monogamy than the BDSM AU does, and while they are very much monogamous romantically, the AU is set up to sort of inherently include sexual contact with multiple people, especially with their roles on the team.

I think, once they're together, Ilya is territorial of Shane in terms of making it clear that while Shane technically belongs to the Centaurs, he really belongs to Ilya, and the Centaurs should be grateful that Ilya is generous enough to occasionally share Shane with the rest of them because he does not have to. He's already spent years "sharing" Shane with the Metros, and once they're in Ottawa, Shane is his. If Shane has any sexual contact with other centaurs, then it is at Ilya's discretion alone.

I think Shane is less jealous in this AU because Ilya makes it so very clear that he's Shane's dominant. He also has been on professional hockey teams his whole adult life, so he knows that all teams have submissives, including Ottawa. I think he's okay with Ilya domming any other submissives that play for Ottawa because he knows those submissives need some level of attention from their captain. I also don't think Ilya is having much, if any, sexual contact with the other team submissives? He's domming them non-sexually and keeping an eye on them, but I think he's letting other team members take care of the more sexual components. However, I do think Shane would get a little jealous if he sees Ilya praising another submissive and not him, even if he knows that's not fair of him.

if you're okay with it, can you tell us a bit about yourself? like what ur hobbies are outside of fic, etc.?

I can tell you about myself, but I'm not terribly interesting!! I'm a queer woman in my mid-20s from the USA. Writing is my main creative hobby (and I actually write a lot of serious works + poetry!). I also really like to read, and I think I read pretty diversely across genres. I've always been sort of in and around fanfic spaces, and I was super into the Percy Jackson series when I was a kid/teenager. Aside from writing, I'm actually pretty politically-active (I'm super anti-ICE).

Hockey is not at all my favorite sport, especially considering I'm from a part of the US where it's pretty non-existent, and I actually really enjoy following basketball!! I would tell you guys my team, but it would doxx me a little bit. I like music, and I've been into the new Noah Kahan album recently. I know this is a common take, but it just gives Ilya to me!!

Loving your heated rivalry bio kink fic! Needy & Indecisive got my thinking- any plans to write how Shane’s collaring with the team goes?

I actually haven't thought too much about it!!

Now I'm thinking though! I know collars are a very common feature in bio kink fics, and I included it because I liked the idea of a visible sign of ownership to raise the stakes in League Darling, but tbh collars aren't historically a huge kink of mine, so I haven't got a strong starting place. (Compared with other kinks that I've been reading/thinking about for years)

That said! This AU has had me thinking a lot more about them, especially in terms of what Shane's collar looks like. I wish I were a visual artist so I could show people what I'm envisioning, but he's in something maybe similar to this, but a little larger/more rigid, colored a deep blue, and cut with the Metro's Fleur de Lis. I think the collar is definitely pretty/classy/elegant, if only because that appeals to my personal tastes lol

In terms of a collaring ceremony, though, I haven't thought about what it would look like. (So I'm very open to pitches or recs for fics with interesting takes on it!)

A part of me feels like the Metros would be the type to have a formal ceremony. They're an Original Six team, and it's been established in the AU that Michaud runs a "traditional" locker room where submissives are concerned. On the other hand, though, they do have such an emphasis from the leadership levels on keeping Shane humble and submissive, and I don't know if that might manifest in refusing to make a big deal about Shane being a submissive by not holding a whole-team collaring ceremony? I'm just not sure!!

One thing, though, which I know was not your question: Ilya absolutely holds collaring ceremonies both as the Raiders' captain and as the Centaurs' captain. I'm very excited to write a little bit more about his flavor of domination in this series because I think he's coming from a very traditional background regarding dom/switch/sub relations and rituals, but I think he's also veryyy open to altering those traditions as needed. I think if he's hosting a collaring ceremony, then the vibe is very light and loving and supportive. He would not use such a time to put the fear of God in a submissive the way that the Metros might, and it would be more celebratory.

The answer is that I'm stupid LMAO, and I originally posted Heat Avoidance under my SFW account!

I have two Ao3 accounts, basically, which I keep separate from each other. My SFW account has things that people who know me in real life could read. It's where I post my PG fics that actually go through a revision process and have symbolism and canon-accurate characterization and get posted in chronological order.

I created the Magpie_08 account in 2025 because I wanted to start playing around with some kink works, but then I didn't post much on it until I had some Heated Rivalry ideas! (Which I've had a lot of fun with! It's freeing to just have an account where you can just write up whatever daydreams you're musing on without worrying about being shamed for them.)

Hello!!! I'm guessing you're asking about the bio!BDSM AU!

I haven't decided the exact structure for what Shane's time on the Centaurs will look like yet, but I think I'm going to have Shane move to the Centaurs once he and Ilya are in a relationship and Ilya is the captain of the Centaurs. This resolves a lot of the inherent conflict of having "two loyalties" because his partner/dom and his captain/dom are both... Ilya Rozanov. :D

So, once Shane is on the Centaurs, his discipline is handled by Ilya! This would produce some fundamental changes in Shane's discipline because Ilya and Michaud have suchhh different understandings of Shane. I think the biggest friction Shane experiences on the Metros is that Michaud fundamentally misunderstands Shane's needs. He's viewing Shane through the lens of "bratty, cocky submissive who responds best to firm/painful correction and has been incredibly spoiled because he's the best hockey player in all of North America," and this view really underestimates how badly Shane wants to be good and the sort of pressure he puts on himself to live up to expectations. By contrast, Ilya views Shane through the more accurate lens of "sweet submissive who really, really wants to be good and has a lot of anxiety over any mistake he makes, who is occasionally either playfully bratty when he feels comfortable, or gets bratty when he is under a lot of stress."

Obviously, these views would lead to really different approaches to domming Shane. I think the biggest change is that his discipline would probably become a lot less public? Like, I don't think Ilya makes an effort to keep it entirely secret or anything, especially if Shane was misbehaving around the team, but I do think he would have a strong preference for handling Shane privately or semi-privately. Ilya really likes the fact that Shane is a great hockey player, and I think he would have far less emphasis on "humbling" Shane than Michaud does.

If/when Shane is spanked on the Centaurs, I think Ilya is the only person who is allowed to spank him. There might be a little bit of casual humiliation (such as teammates seeing marks in the locker room), but in general it would be far less intense than it is with the Metros, and punishments like the one in League Darling (where the entire team is "against" Shane) would just never happen on the Centaurs.

Sexually speaking, I think a lot of the free-use stuff is drastically reduced in the Centaurs' locker room. In-universe, the justification for teammates having so much sexual contact with submissives is based on biological needs: Submissives have a need to submit and be taken care of, and if they aren't able to fill this need, then they have a lot of anxiety/quality of life issues. So, dominant teammates dom their submissive teammates in order to keep them from needing to resort to doms outside the team. Obviously when Shane is with Ilya, Ilya is meeting those needs, so no one really gets to have contact with Shane unless Ilya allows it, and I don't think Ilya is overly generous with allowing it, since he's more than a little possessive of Shane after having shared him with the Metros for so many years.

However, I do think Shane probably enjoys getting to use his submission as a "reward" for players who perform well! Like, please please please, he loves when Ilya tells him to give one of the guys a blowjob to thank them for a particularly beautiful assist. It's satisfying for Shane to get to have his submission treated as a reward for the dominants, rather than a punishment for himself.

Oh this is so good, I'm getting WORMS!!! I wouldn't even know where to begin with writing a socmed compilation, but 1000%, one MUST exist in-universe.

I'm trying to think of what alpha/omega moments they would even have in public (aside from the infamous butt slap).

Falling asleep on each other on team travel days? I'm picturing a candid photo getting tweeted by a teammate after Shane has a really good game that they have to fly out after where he falls asleep on Ilya's shoulder, and Ilya just looks so, so pleased with himself, like almost smug about it

I think there's also probably a lottt of clips of Ilya being harsh with overly nosy reporters who ask inappropriate questions about Shane's omega status. I can see him using his ESL status maliciously to pretend he doesn't understand what they mean and force reporters to explain their bigoted questions openly, even though everyone can see the evil gleam in his eye

On the topic of the media stuff, I can also see there being clips of Ilya automatically positioning himself between media and Shane, mainly after his omega status is first leaked and he's under a lot of scrutiny

I could also see there being a phone camera clip with no audio where they're out on a walk and it's a little chilly and Ilya makes Shane take his jacket... only Shane doesn't want his alpha to be cold (even though his alpha is literally fine, he's like one of those big husky dogs), so he's accepting it soooo begrudgingly and then there are photos of him walking around Toronto or something where he's all scowl-y even as he's wrapped up in his alpha's jacket.

I think there could be a cute video compilation of every time Shane comes off the ice and Ilya hands him a water bottle almost without thinking about it, like it's so automatic to him to make sure his omega has water

HOWEVER, one place I think the public would almost never see Ilya in alpha-mode is on the ice!! (aside from the stuff in Heat Avoidance!! which only came out because Shane put himself in danger!!) In terms of fighting other players, though, Ilya is only dropping his gloves in situations where there's a dirty hit or another situation where it would be normal for a hockey player to fight on a teammates behalf. He would be chill about Shane taking hits that are typical in the sport, because My Ilya (#myilya) knows that Shane is a hockey player before he's an omega. He would just be so utterly dismissive of any speculation that he expects other players to take it easy on Shane simply because he's an omega, even as he's doting on him off the ice.

FURTHERMORE, I think there would also be compilations of Shane being Ilya's omega, if that makes sense? Especially once Shane gets comfortable, there would be clips of:

Them sitting down at some public event and Shane glaring daggers at some random omega who gets too close to Ilya

Interviews in French that get a little rude, where Shane is very prepared to defend Ilya's honor

Clips where Ilya's shoulders are tight and tense until Shane cups his hand to the back of his neck and Ilya visibly relaxes

I could also see a lot of miscommunication around Shane's scent? I'm gonna be superrr NSFW with this answer lol, but I LOVE this question. I still want to return to writing the vampire AU, but for whatever reason, my muse for it fled before I ever finished The Turning, and I'm not sure why. (My muse will return at some point though; she always does.) I also still love the Marniesaras23 take on the fledgling trope!! Their fics are sooo cute!!

For the AU, I was envisioning a hierarchy where Ilya is over Shane but falls somewhere in the middle of the coven power structure. In case it isn't obvious yet, I loveeee writing out tropes where Ilya is protecting Shane from someone scary, so I was wanting to incorporate that into this AU. I was picturing a structure where sires have a great deal of power over their fledglings. The coven would be led by Ilya's sire, an ancient vampire who turned Ilya, who I would introduce as an OC. (I considered making Ilya's sire Grigori, at first, but it made me feel a little incestual, which is not a kink I personally enjoy!) The world is a dangerous place for vampires, who are hidden from humans, and they do best when living in covens, which allows them to have long-running relationships, in addition to security. The coven is made up of maybe 50 or so vampires, including other vampires sired by Ilya's sire, in addition to their fledglings.

In order to keep the peace and maintain order, Ilya's sire rules over them with an iron first, which also involves a lot of harder-core kinky/sexual punishments and rewards. The idea behind it was that these punishments that rely on pain/humiliation are easy to inflict and also uniquely suited for immortal beings, because when you're immortal, pleasure and pain is all that's left. I was thinking about things like lashings or spankings, but also more vampire-specific punishments, which play on the mythological vulnerabilities to garlic and iron. For example, being forced to ride a metal dildo that has some non-fatal percentage of iron, so that when the vampire is done, they're left with a burning, quivering hole that is swollen and sore and hot for a few weeks. I was also thinking about variations of figging that use garlic paste instead of ginger, just for the campiness of it all. I think it would be fun to incorporate some sort of vampire-culture specific takes on humiliation, but I'm not too sure what I would do. Nothing has really come to me yet on that front.

While the relationship between Ilya's sire and the other vampires would be a more dungeon BDSM vibe, I want the relationship between Ilya and Shane to be a muchhhh softer, more domestic-discipline vibe. The idea would be that Shane is a young fledgling, and baby fledglings aren't strong enough to be punished by the coven leader! They need to be acclimatized to life as a vampire and taught the rules of the coven, first. Fledglings also aren't strong enough to handle whippings or iron, so instead they're given over-the-knee spankings and such. I was envisioning Ilya being so so so soft with Shane, who is absolutely the most spoiled fledgling ever. Shane would be kind of bratty about being babied, at least until he learns about what it entails to be punished as an adult vampire. I've also seen a few fledgling AUs where sire venom has an influence on fledglings, either making them calm/horny/obedient, etc., and I would like to incorporate that in some sense, but I haven't decided how yet!

I think the flip side, though, is that Ilya is responsible for Shane's behavior, since he's the one who turned him. If Shane runs afoul of the coven leader, it is Ilya who is punished. I had an angsty scene idea where Ilya comes back to their quarters with his back bloodied from taking a flogging, and Shane cries as he licks his sire's back to close the wounds, so I want to create some tension within the coven power structure. I don't know if the overarching goal would be for Shane/Ilya to leave the coven or for the coven leadership to change, but I was thinking of doing something there!

In terms of what Shane would be punished for, I think all of your ideas would be punishable offenses! I think refusing to feed is the one Shane is the most likely to do, which I could see being a repeated issue. I don't think he would try to hurt Ilya, but he might do something that puts himself in danger. He also might rebel by trying to sneak off for a little while, if he's feeling too watched. I think other things like disrespecting older vampires (especially if vampires are considered aggressive, hierarchical beings) could get him in trouble. I think Shane also might just be generally "willful" over finding himself under Ilya's control, so there would be a bit of a power struggle there. It's very different from omega!Shane, who was brought up in a hierarchical society. This iteration of Shane would be adjusting to a new hierarchy he had never even heard of!! And I think there would be additional growing pains, there.

Anyways, I am sooo sorry to ramble, but I hope this answers your question!!! Thank you for asking it!! 💓💓💓

I do think that Shane is, at least on some level, aware that Bergstrom and the Metros are abusing him. The level of punishment is definitely atypical by in-universe standards, and I think Shane acknowledges in The Coach's Office that a lot of the spankings just seem like a way for the coaches to express their frustration over Shane existing in a space they don't think he belongs in! I think in Fawn Response, Shane also acknowledges that Bergstrom is going to hurt him whether or not he wins the MVP trophy, and that Bergstrom is actually probably going to be meaner if he does win--he definitely recognizes that the discipline is about exerting power, rather than supporting him. Shane doesn't tolerate that treatment because he thinks it's right, but rather because he thinks it's inevitable. Shane thinks the abuse is just the price he has to play to continue to play hockey, and he doesn't think very many people would be on his side if he complained about it.

So, Shane definitely does notice that he gets a lot less discipline with Ilya, and that the discipline is a lot less severe. It's a difficult situation for him to navigate because, as an omega, he's subject to this pretty oppressive power dynamic by virtue of his designation, and he's going from a scenario where that societal norm is used to abuse him, to a scenario where that societal norm is exercised with a more benevolent intention. Whether or not Ilya's control/discipline of Shane is actually beneficial is a question I prefer to leave open to reader interpretation tbh, especially since I go back and forth on my own answer. Ilya definitely believes it is necessary, though!

There are only a few omegas in the MLH, so I think it probably varies by team! Usually, though, Shane would still be subject to team discipline, in the same way that Ilya is.

However, I do think an exception is made for Shane, specifically because of his history being abused by the Metros. I wrote about it here, but I think Ilya takes a really hard stance against Shane being eligible for team discipline, to the point where it gets written into their contracts. For his part, I think Ilya takes his responsibility for Shane seriously, so it does become Ilya's "job" in a sense! And Shane's alpha is his team captain, so he isn't exactly getting away with anything...

Re-reading “The Coach’s Orfice” and there’s a line talking about how betas and alphas also potentially get spanked, and it makes me wonder if Ilya ever gets spanked at the Centaurs and how Shane would react to it.

Yes! I think this is a universe where that sort of corporal punishment is "normal," so alphas and betas might also be spanked, though I imagine these punishments would have less of a humiliation aspect to them, when compared with the spankings given to omegas.

I don't know that Ilya would get spanked often with the Centaurs! I think an unnecessary fight is probably the most likely scenario in which he would, but I don't know that Shane would be confused, in large part because he's been raised in this world and he's used to corporal punishment being used to enforce any and all power hierarchies!

However, I do agree Shane would be scared and anxious about Ilya getting spanked. :( I also loveee the idea of it becoming normal for Shane to be there if Ilya is spanked!! I think it would be unorthodox, but I also think Wiebe is a little indulgent, especially since Shane never causes trouble in general, so I could see him allowing it, but at the start he has to make a show of gently but sternly reminding Shane of the rules about not interfering while Shane sits there like

Do you think Shane grew up feeling like it was shameful to be an omega? I've been thinking about how David would have broached the topic of his own designation, considering that him and Yuna (a large male omega and a petite female alpha) are an unusual pairing. Would he have embraced it and spoken about it with his son openly? Or was it maybe a hard thing for him to talk about?

I had to break this ask into two parts to organize my thoughts!

Did Shane grow up feeling like it was shameful to be an omega?

I definitely don't think Yuna and David taught Shane that it was shameful to be an omega! In my verse, Shane presented the night of the MLH draft, so he was superrr late and was not raised as an omega. I do think David probably always had a suspicion that this might occur, but Yuna assumed Shane was a beta once he was passed the usual age of presentation (which I put at around 15 or 16 in my verse!). For the most part, Shane didn't grow up thinking about omegas much at all because Shane loves hockey and omegas aren't hockey players, so Shane assumed he wasn't an omega.

However, Shane was steeped in hockey culture during his teenage years. Because most of his social circle is made up of hockey players, he wouldn't have been interacting with omegas that often, and his views of omegas would be been shaped by the stereotypes and crude jokes he was hearing in the locker room, which is what I imagine to be the source of his shame. Similarly, much of the culture in my verse is anti-omega (even when alphas think they're behaving benevolently), so I think Shane absorbed a lot of it from the culture around him, rather than his parents.

That said, I don't think Yuna and David were necessarily challenging omega stereotypes. In canon, they strike me as well educated and vaguely socially liberal, but not necessarily people who are pushing the envelope? That's the vibe I carried over to the omegaverse, so while they weren't perpetuating omega-shame and they do support Shane's hockey career, they also weren't proactively teaching Shane to push back against it during his formative years.

2. Did David try to talk to Shane about being an omega?

Once Shane presented, I do think David would have tried to talk to Shane about what it means to be an omega, but I think Shane probably shut most of those conversations down. Shane is embarrassed by his designation and feels like it is his biggest barrier in life, and it's easier for Shane to just take his scent blockers/heat suppressants and try to pretend the problem doesn't exist.

I think about David in this universe a lot, mainly because he's the other omega who would have been similar to Shane--he's large and played hockey at a fairly high level, considering he played for McGill. I haven't written this into any fics, but I headcanon that David's omega status was not a secret when he played hockey, and he experienced exclusion/abuse as a result of it, which ultimately is what kept him from being able to go pro. I think he probably is always torn between pride in seeing Shane fulfil his dreams and worry over how Shane could be hurt.

Ultimately, it is his experience (along with pressure from coaching staff) that leads David and Yuna to be so supportive of keeping Shane's designation a secret--they think it's the only way to keep him safe.

Bestieee, I was reading through your past asks and now I'm thinking about what Shane might do to try to get Ilya to spank him for the first time, like, Ilya is so chill with Shane and Shane is not a natural brat, but I feel like Ilya probably makes rules early on in their relationship that he thinks will be good for Shane, e.g., what if he sets a bedtime because Shane isn't getting enough sleep/is pushing himself too hard as usual, and Shane of course thinks this is ridiculous (maybe Bergstrom used to make him stay up for as long as it took to finish all his work/answer every email/"be responsible" etc, so Shane is used to living with chronic sleep debt and to feeling like a failure if he doesn't get absolutely everything done), and so Shane is insisting that he's not going to bed just because it's 11pm, he still has work to do, and what's Ilya gonna do, pick him up and *make* him go to bed??? I think Bergeron would absolutely not care about Shane getting enough sleep, especially if it's something that can border the edge of acceptable, like 6 or 7 hours instead of the 9 hours that Shane needs to play well and feel well. I think he would play it off as "natural consequences" or "being responsible" as you said. I could see it manifesting in a lot of scenarios. For example, they get home late after a game and they need to be up early the next morning to make it to the airport. Instead of delaying whatever punishment Shane has "earned," Bergstrom would just make Shane stay up late to receive it. I could also see it being prominent with him assigning things like corner time or writing lines on nights when he knows Shane won't have time to complete the punishment without delaying bedtime.

By contrast, Ilya's first priority is Shane's health, so delaying his bedtime would be a non-starter! I think this could cause some friction in scenarios where Ilya chooses to delay a spanking because they simply get home too late and he doesn't want to rush (which would make Shane feel frustrated, being made to wait and dread what's coming).

I dooo have a vivid image in my brain now of Ilya telling Shane it's bedtime, and Shane is tired but he wants to finish what he's doing, even though it's absolutely something that can wait. Shane tells Ilya he isn't tired. Ilya tells Shane a red bottom is a really good sleep aid, and he is absolutely willing to help him out. I also can so see Shane giving in but then Ilya is holding him in bed and Shane is literally just pouting against his chest. Like, Shane's going to bed like this:

(I also like the idea of this coinciding with Shane lashing out to earn his first spanking from Ilya! I could see how this leads to Shane laying in bed, thinking about Ilya's threat to spank him and scheming about pushing back on bedtime as a way to test that boundary. Because you're right that if Shane doesn't obey, then Ilya is ABSOLUTELY scooping him up and taking him to bed, especially if it's early in their relationship post-Fawn Response and Shane is still dealing with the health effects of coming off of his suppressants.)

Obsessed with the concept that nesting is not only for the house but something omegas do to their loved ones as well to protect them. Shane nesting by making sure Ilya is completely covered and protected from the cold, “making” him wear a coat, gloves, a hat, a scarf, and fluffy socks so he isn’t cold (never mind that Ilya is Russian and is used to the cold).

And maybe if all the clothes are scented by Shane, who’s to blame him? His alpha is hot and he’s the omega who claimed him

This is EXTREMELY important to me and it's been living rent free in my head for a while now. Like, just imagine Shane kissing the side of Ilya's nose before wrapping a scarf around him like?? That is HIS alpha!!!

Also, this makes me imagine Shane seeing Ilya get dressed for a game and having to Resist the Urge to go over and fuss over his pads and check that they fit properly!! Because Shane KNOWS they are at work and Ilya has been playing hockey his whole life and it's not appropriate to do that in front of his teammates in the locker room!!
