"That sounds like a good idea! You can follow from the sky, that way no one spots you. Everything is pretty clear cut, so you won't have to worry about losing me!"

She nodded at the idea, pulling out her phone, and checking the time. Kukui was out for another two hours at the least!

“I think….you’re talking about Necrozma? They mostly sleep in a meadow up past ten caret hill. underground it I mean.”

Absently she plucked at her pink sleeve, staring at the pokemon in front of her. They were a rather cute color, and Mahlna there was a lot of power in them.

Turning to the one who spoke, Mewtwo spotted the girl.  Necrozma?  That’s what it’s called?  Interesting….and it’s in a meadow by Ten Caret Hill?  Where would that be?

"It's by where Prof. Kukui lives! There's a little chunk of boulders in front of a cave entrance. You get past those and go up and.. I think it's the second exit you take to reach it. there's one that has a pedestal with a Z crystal. I kinda got out in a hurry once I spotted the Pokemon and scanned it with my Rotom dex. So things are a little muddled." She explained.

“Oh?  And what do you want?  If you want directions, the town of heathens is that way,” Sol replied, pointing off in some vague direction near the next town.

Mahlna peered up at the other, a little confused. The other looked human, but there was something... something in what he gave off that told her this wasn't someone who was purely human.

Her forehead scrunched slightly, giving him her confession on it easily.

“Fire and dark! And I’ve heard it’s an adorable little kitten to boot.”

“Ah, well … That is the thing about some water types. The ocean is incredibly vast and deep, so a good majority of them live where no ‘umans can get to them. That’s why Dive is such a useful move in Hoenn, you can catch Clamperl, Chinchou, and Relicanth with it! Just fishing for water types or surfing around for them, well … You get all the surface ones, non? Who knows what is hiding beneath the waves.”

"Dive... I don't think there's a Ride Pokemon to cover that area yet. It might be a while yet before the right Pokemon breed will have a chance to use that four tourism. So far We've got Charizard for flying, Lapras and sharpedo surfing. Oh! And a Tauros and a Stoutland for land travel." She ticked off each Rider Pokemon on her forehead. It was a rather short list that she used.

"And some people use a machamp pager to be carried from place to place."

“I got my starter from my Mother’s starter. He’s a Grass and ghost type. The very first breed with his type. They’re very loyal pokemon.”

Mahlna just smiled at Wallace, as If sharing his own sense of bemusement at energetic baby. True, It had been a long, long time since her pokemon had been a rowlet, but she still could recall the crazy adventures. She settled back and plucked bits of sand off her knees, and let out a hum.

“She’ll be a handful until the third stage. Her line is bred to bring smile’s and joy to all. Once you get to her last stage you may have a hard time with her. They’re known as Diva’s when performing and can be demanding.”

“Oh, no need to worry about divas. I myself am one and so is Milotic over there … I know best ‘ow to handle a Diva on stage.” Laughing, he settles into a beach chair and gestures for her to take the other one, you know, after she’d sat down. Of course. “Grass and ghost, fairy and water - So what is the last starter of this region, then?” Interesting! The secondary types made things feel a little more strategic, since Hoenn was purely fire, water, and grass …

Mahlna sighed as she settled on the beach, eyes unfocusing as she looked out into the middle of nowhere. Or, at least into the ocean. It was another sunny day in Alola, another day to bring herself some peace.

She wondered.....Was Gladion let down she hadn't gone for the champion's seat after their battle? She hadn't quite gotten up the nerve to face him, and she knew the other was busy with taking care of the foundation.... Should she visit him? Or was he happier left alone?

She was glad that Wallace couldn’t understand the tiny baby. She wasn’t sure how the other might take what she was in good faith. To distract ‘Mon and Father she dug two chains out of her pocket and offered them to Wallace.

“This is the Z crystal for Oceanic Operetta. Once your Pokemon reaches her final stage you can give this to her and it’ll be an upgrade for Sparkling Aria. The second one is the Z crystal for water type moves alone. I figured If anyone should have these, IT should be you. I talked to my friend Hau and he told me where to get an extra water.”

“Oh! Oh, oh my! That’s quite the gift - Thank you! You can set them on my bag there - Why are you wiggling so much, Primadonna …”

‘Because I wanna go back to playing with the Puykuuuuumuuuuu!’ Since she can’t settle down, he sighs and allows her to go back onto the sand. Primadonna waddle hops her way over and starts batting the Pyukumuku around again, but it seems to be asleep now. Not that you can tell. I don’t know which end is the face.

“… That’s what she wanted. Anyways - Thank you. I’ll do my best with these! Oceanic Opera, hm … Admittedly, I ‘ave not seen Z moves in action yet, though I’ve heard of them.”

Since it’s incredibly hard to ignore a baby Pokemon, Wallace sighs a little before apologizing and hanging up, kneeling to pick her up like, what? What is it? What do you want? Like when a small dog starts barking and you pick them up, but it keeps barking anyways. 

‘DAD THIS TRAINER SAID SHE COULD UNDERSTAND ME AND SHE’S A PSYCH ICK AND I FOUND A PYUKUMUMUMU OVER THERE AND –’

“Goodness, what’s gotten into you?” Patting the top of her head, he notices the other trainer there and wiggles his fingers to her!

A soft laugh as she catches bits and bobs of what the serpentine Pokemon had said. Gracefully she drops to her knees and smiles up at the Pokemon and stage whispered.

“It’s in the genes. It’ll only smooth out once her final stage comes and then she’ll be a proper primadonna.  But the first two stages? Those are focused on making people smile and be happy.”

A bit of wood, and a careful drawing comes to life in the sand of the next stage. It’s not the best due to the medium, but It’s good enough to get the gist of It.

‘See! This nice trainer gets i –’

‘…..’ Someone just remembered she isn’t supposed to talk to strangers! Or well, be heard by them, I guess. Even though normally, strangers would just hear Pokemon warbling away. She waddles behind Milotic and peeks out behind her snakelike accomplice, partially in suspicion and partially in little kid shyness.

She giggled at the little kid shyness, settling back on her haunches for a few moments. She loved baby pokemon! They were so cute and cuddle worthy! She glanced up, watching Wallace before back to the pokemon.

"I'm a   Psychic, so somethings come a little easier for me. Right now I can just get feelings but somethings are still a little harder for me to get. It also helped that I could read what your bodies were expressing."

Whew!

A whole series of events later, Wallace had ended up with a little baby Popplio, aptly named Primadonna. Now all he had to do was train her! Easy, right? Well … The little seal pokemon prefers play over practice, and so she is on the beach, gently batting a poor little Pyukumuku around, not enough to hurt it, just enough to entertain herself. Wallace is on the phone this time, which is why he hasn’t taken notice … yet.

‘Really, child. How would YOU like it if I batted you around like that?’

‘Uhh … if it would get you to play with me, I wouldn’t mind one bit!’

‘…’ A dramatic sigh, ‘THIS is why I do not converse with children.’

she’s late.

it’s nothing new; punctuality has never been one of her virtues. still, this is one of the rare occasions where she actually feels bad about being late. the minutes seem to tick by in double-time as she speeds along the narrow alleys of castelia on her bike, nearly barreling over a few pedestrians in her rush. it’s times like these that she’s glad she knows the city like the back of her hand, for she knows every shortcut to the ice cream shop where they’re meeting, and it only takes her a few more minutes to finally get there.

and there she is- or rather, there touko thinks she is. the only thing she knows about her date is that she’ll be wearing pink, but she’s alone and staring at her watch and even touko can put two and two together. a grin spreads across her face as she hops off her bike and waves over at her date for the day, voice more than loud enough to be heard over the gaggle of people at the shop.

She glanced up and blinked at the mass of fluffy, fluffy brown hair poking out of a baseball cap. The slightly torn jeans and sighed, looking thankful. At least she hadn't been stood up! It would have been a heck of a trip to not even meet her date mate. She stood and hurried over to the other, sticking her hand out.

"Yup! Names Mahlna! I'm from Alola, but before that it was Kanto. Glad for a chance to see Unova with a native by my side. And no worries on the time, I loitered a bit. Got caught up by a couple of cute pokemon. Was a bit worried I might have missed ya!"
