5,475 Days is an English Erasermic/Maiai doujin anthology! We have a team of 30 participants working hard to bring you an anthology of 17 comics, 6 short stories, and over 200 pages worth of content! We're currently nearing the end of our creation period and are looking to open for pre-orders soon! If you'd like more updates, follow us!

Full comic summary: Over the years, Hizashi and Shouta’s friendship has grown from overexcited greetings met with grumbled responses, to nights passed huddled around Hizashi’s kotatsu, drawing up blueprints for his new support gear. Spending every day together was becoming the norm, but their last year at U.A. comes with newfound hardships, challenging them in ways they’ve never experienced before. An extended internship assignment sends Hizashi and Shouta to opposite sides of the city, and tests far more than just their hero skills. With a tremendous distance between them, they struggle to come to terms with the toll a hero’s life takes on their relationships and their minds. 

This team is in the teen age group, with a 15 page comic! Jay has also opted to do a short Q and A about her creative processes and what she likes about Erasermic, which can be found below!

Why do you like Erasermic? 

I love the dynamic between Shouta and Hizashi, how their personalities are so different, but compliment each other so well. Hizashi's exuberance is balanced out by Shouta's calm and steady nature, while Shouta's more muted playful side is boosted by Hizashi's energy. Spending half a lifetime with someone else means you must know every little nuance of their personality and habits and it makes for such a remarkable understanding between the two characters that I love to explore in creating and consuming erasermic content. 

What's your creative process for this project like?

We talked about what kinds of stories we prefer to read and what each of us felt were our strengths when it came to writing and drawing. I wrote up a concept based on our ideas, Mackerel read over that and offered a few additional story elements we could try out, and I incorporated that into our full script. Mackerel reviewed the script and gave feedback on it, looking at things from an artistic perspective, and is now in the sketching phase of the comic. 

What's your favorite thing to write/draw about? 

I love world building and have started writing a number of au fics. It is a lot of fun to place these characters in new situations and create from the ground up, really pouring all of your creativity into the universe and  your own lore. It definitely stretches those writing muscles. That being said, my favorite thing to write is definitely hurt/comfort. I am such a sucker for cuddles and care taking when I read fics or see art and I'm always happy to be able to add my own stories to that category.

Full short story summary: On a typical day off, Hizashi has the whole day planned out. This time, he leaves the day empty to just be, and it’s one of the best days he’s ever had with his husband. 

This writer is in the young adult age group, with a 6 page short story that accompanies the comic they also helped write!

Full comic summary: Aizawa goes down memory lane, remembering the memories he shared with Hizashi throughout their lives, both the good and the bad. It makes him think of how their relationship started and how it made them grow into who they are today as people and as a couple. He does this in order to write the hardest, yet one of the most important, letters in his life.

Why do you like Erasermic?

Ziedrak​: I really like the dynamics of them as a couple, how well can such different personalities get together and still make a relationship work. How their friendship lasted since their teenager days to the present is definitely one of the most interesting things, and I like the idea of how they complimented each other!

Shanimalew: I like Erasermic because they're a couple you'd never think could make sense but that somehow works. Their completely different personalities don't clash but instead they complement each other.

What's your creative process for this project like?

Ziedrak​: I had to do a lot of thinking, trial and error when it came down to working on the paneling along with the script. Trying to see which type of layout was best for which important scene while also taking into consideration the amount of pages I wanted to go for was also an entertaining task. Through it all, I sketched, planned and changed a lot of things! But ended up liking the final product.

Shanimalew: Since the story is from Aizawa's pov I tried to put myself in his shoes, focusing on how he views the world and how he lives his relationship with Hizashi and from that I studied his feelings, what Hizashi and their history means to him.

What's your favorite thing to write/draw about?

Ziedrak​: I really like drawing specific scenarios, like a day in, a certain moment in time and the like. What would people look like when they're watching a movie together, dining out, or in the middle of a fight against villains! Dynamic scenarios and being able to show the energy and feeling a moment has is definitely something I like to think about when I draw.

Shanimalew: I really enjoy writing the little moments, episodes in the lives of the characters. I also love analysing the psychological side of the characters, what goes through their minds when something happens, how they react to an unexpected news etc. 

How did you and your partner decide on the topic for your comic?

After a lot of brainstorming we decided that just one topic wasn't enough because their relationship is so complex! We thought it could be nice to explore what could be the most significant moments in their relationship and how they've grown as a couple. We also decided  to study their relationship from Aizawa's point of view, as he's the most stoic of the two and knowing how he feels is quite interesting.

Full comic summary: During a sleepover with Shouta, Hizashi grows tired of Shouta constantly beating him at the board games they play and decides, instead, that they should watch a movie together. Trying to prove himself to Shouta, Hizashi picks a horror movie and things don’t quite as he planned.

 Why do you like Erasermic?

Lanimani: I like the stark difference in personality and that they have a years of history together! I think it gives a lot of room for cute fan content.

Deafmic: I also really like the stark personality differences. I’ve always loved the childhood friends trope and I feel like there’s a lot of content and chemistry between two people who’ve known each other for fifteen years. additionally, they’re both characters I love separately, so it makes sense for me to pair them together.

What's your creative process for this project like?

Lanimani: After receiving dave's script, i sketched out panels and suggested any changes to the page pacing. The hardest part was actually figuring out what type of glasses mic should wear! Dave’s script formatting was super intuitive to follow and made my part really easy.

Deafmic: the hardest part was probably script writing! I actually ended up writing a guide for the other teams once I figured it out myself. turns out that all the script writing stuff I learned in college didn’t help much. I had to visualize what things would look like on the pages and then try to translate that into the script. it was a little difficult but I like how it turned out!

What's your favorite thing to write/draw about?

 Lanimani: I love to draw high-femme characters and clothes. I think that’s why i like to draw this pairing as teenagers- i love the soft and cute features.

Deafmic: I like to write about anything having to do with family. I write both angst and fluff and everything in between but focusing on familial dynamics is probably my favorite.

5,475 Days, an English Erasermic Doujin Anthology

5,475 days amounts to fifteen years, the amount of time our project focuses on. 

Our anthology involves three different age groups through the years and the dynamics between Aizawa Shouta and Yamada Hizashi throughout those fifteen years. Altogether, we have 17 comics, 6 short stories, and 30 participants producing over 200 pages of content! 

We’re excited to announce that our creation period is almost at its conclusion and we’ll be opening preorders for our book in the next months! Because of that, we’d like to share a variety of different things with you--from q and a’s with some of our participants, spotlights on our creators, and previews of some of the comics and stories you’ll be seeing in our anthology! 

 If you’d like to see updates on our project, please follow us!  Everyone has put a lot of love and work into their projects for our book and we can’t wait to share some of it with you.
