Sorry if this is too mature an ask, but: Is it maid like to just. Observe people (E)RPing in general when it's not even your interest. Like, dutifully watching. After enjoying a bounty of beautiful anime cosplay and frilly prissy maid uniforms served up by algorithms most discerning, I’ve had an epiphany. How the hell do these ladies get any cleaning done in these get ups???
Like anime maids with long floppy sleeves and floor length let down hair are in for a rude awakening when they scrub their first oven, and those prissy satin maids in extra poofy layered petticoats are a menace to any wine glass in a five meter radius!
Of course we can't get carried away with our pursuit of cleaning efficiency or all of our maids will be wearing the most efficient cleaning garment, the janitorial jumpsuit. Maids exist at the intersection of form and function, they clean AND they look good doing it. Yes they wear frilly dresses and caps, yes they’re in petticoats and a low heel, but they can still go to town on moldy shower tile if they have to.
Enter the historical maid uniform, like the one so beautifully designed by Asta Darling pictured above. I like seeing these kinds of uniforms as a reminder that the maid uniform is the uniform of a working woman. It perfectly balances form and function: She cleans AND she looks good doing it.
The only thing better than a maid is a maid with attitude.

Love when you find a new community and are slapped in the face with a new inside joke. Browsed r/decks for 5 minutes and every pic of a deck had several comments recommending a hot tub, no matter how unsafe. 10/10 meme, will be recommending OSHA/code violating hot tubs whenever possible.
