The Cygnet & The Raven
‘twas difficult to remove her gaze from the motions of the other’s skirt, round and round and round it went, sweeping across the ballroom floor so elegantly— it made the young queen wonder whether she would tire soon and if whether she would come to trip upon her own footing. yet it was as if she possessed all the grace in the world, neither weighed by the heaviness of her dress nor any sort of inhibition which would have potentially shackled her … a thing of great envy, daenerys found it, for she would lack confidence in this above all other things.
distracting as it were, nearly had the targaryen girl missed the others spoken word, fair lashes left to flutter as eyes drifted up and away from the floor so to lock gazes with she to address her. of silver and gold, it would seem as if her making had caught this woman’s interest; however, no sooner would her focus settle on the coloration of her eyes. and such an interest would find home in the queen, as well.
had she ever laid eyes upon one with eyes as red as rubies?
teeth softly sinking against the inside of her cheek, soft flush to dust pale cheeks ( only for having been compared to but a hatchling ), it is with an awkward shift that daenerys allowed her head to dip momentarily in equal regard and acknowledgement of this ones flattery. ❛ A trait special to those of my bloodline, my lady; rare in its own right where I come from. ❜ and though not seen as dangerous, they would no doubt attract things of said nature. ❛ If I may be so bold … I’ve not met another with eyes such as yours. ❜
at the very least, not upon one of human flesh.
Not only was this one beautiful but she was well spoken and held herself like a lady. How Levi would have had a hard time finding ways to tease this girl. Teasing someone so unlady-like as Lacie was far more enjoyable for him. When given such a compliment the Child of Ill Omen graciously lowered her head, hands parting and knees bending slightly in a small curtsy of thanks. Only in this city was she able to meet such wonderful people who were not shackled to superstition like in her own.
“Be bold, please--life is much too short to be otherwise.” The words hinted at her demise in her world, though there was no sound of bitterness. Just an odd acceptance that this was how life truly was.
“And thank you; many people would run in fear of these eyes of mine but it is so comforting to meet people in this city who do not. I had not imagined such a world existed.” With thick black hair falling past her shoulders like a warm curtain, Lacie gave another curtsy before extending her hand to the woman.
“If life is short then the only thing we must do is dance. Come! Men can lead in dance so it mustn’t be too hard to do.” Of course Lacie would be the one to lead. Dancing could be fun but it was the conversation to be have during the dance that was truly the main dish.
“ Fair? Well I mean I suppose that is true in some sense.. perchance I run into them int his city I’ll let them know you wish to speak with them! I’ll refer to you as the parent of a friend of mine of sorts, that should help them get comfortable with the idea! “
“ Oh! Well.. yes I do, actually.. but it’s not Alice. It’s someone else but.. if I do see Alice there, I’ll be sure to give her a dance! After all, it wouldn’t be right to ignore a friend.. right? “
Ohh, he was taking someone else? That sly smile crept even wider upon her lips. “My my, I can see that you must be popular with young ladies of your age.” Laughter like the tinkling of a bell could be heard; so soft and sweet.
“So you must live independently from them? Such a reliable young man you are. Though I suppose you must be to have survived so long in the city alone. Your parents must be proud of you.”
Anon or not I'd like to hear your thoughts on how I play my character! Critiques as well as good points welcome!
“...We’re back to this again, are we?” Oh the indignant tone of a child.
Who do you ship my muse with?

Does this mean it is time to bring back BABY LACIE?
[ アビス ] …Wha? Violet eyes blinked a few times, a confused murmur leaving her lips as she took in the new information. So Glen was the head of Baskerville ( which she knew ) but the rest tough, she was still confused. The Abyss, that child chose people to become Baskerville to which Glen brought them into the family. Glen was also the one who protected the world and that child. “Ahhh…I don’t get it….sorry Mommy…” Had she disappointed her mother by not understanding? She hopes not.
Yes! To the cafe! Oh, what she could show her Mommy, the sweets that were there and the adorable ones that Shi-chan showed her before. The cute bunny shaped ones! Everything in that little cafe was cute and she loved it, it almost became her second ( or was it third? ) home in this new world!
Hmm? Why did Mommy seems to upset there? Did she say something wrong? Oh. Oh. So Alice had lived where their mother had, and it was a part of the mansion too. Still, she recalled looking out the window and seeing trees every where. It was also during that time she first met Jack. She couldn’t see any buildings anywhere! “So we lived where you did?”
“Mm! Mm!” Two sharp and quick nods answered her, the man behind the counter waving at the young girl, to which she greeted back with a smile. It appears as though Alyss was a regular here. “What kind of cake do you want Mommy?” She asked while taking out a wallet, the same one Itachi had given her for her Christmas shopping. It seems she has quite a lot of money left.
A smile found its way across her lips at the child’s confusion. Sitting there she recalled her own childhood that was filled with questions that had complicated answers. Sense could not be garnered now or then. It seemed appropriate since the world made such little sense as well.
“Don’t feel bad; I didn’t understand it very much either when I was your age. I thought it all sounded silly.” Levi had decided to be forthcoming with information about her impending death and sometimes she questioned whether he was a proper “Glen”...assuming such a thing existed.
Kneeling down with her gown flowing out in a pool of clothe around her feet, Lacie looked upon the many cakes and tried to imagine which they may both enjoy. Suddenly one caught her attention that she couldn’t help but find cute. Looking up at the young teenager behind the counter she pointed at the small cake with a small, happy smile. “I’m rather fond of rabbits, did you know?” Before Alyss could pay for it herself Lacie brought out a small coin purpose with folded money inside. She paid for the cake and, taking it in her hand, ushered it over to a table outside.
The day was beautiful and would not be wasted. “You did not think I’d let you pay for it so easily did you? Now then--” Gesturing to a small cake fork, she took the second in her own hand and smiled at Alyss.
“You said it was lonely, but it isn’t anymore. Have you made friends here in the city?” She knew that Alice had made some friends already but both daughters were so very different and Lacie--whether she realized it or not--worried about them.
It’s sad how this song has been my life support for the past 2 months
