The being over eight feet tall looked down at the small girl who talked to him as he walked the street. His eyes looked down, very malicious face and ripped up left side of his lip made him all the more terrifying to look at as he smirked.
“ First things first, kid. Helpin’ me find somethin’ decent to eat is a good start. This place smells like ass. Better have some good eats. “
The man in front of her was even taller than her devil. She strained herself to look up at him, her upper body forced to lean back a bit. He was massive. Was he a human or something entirely different? She couldn't tell.
"I may be able to assist with that. My snakes can sometimes find prey. I usually only have them find mice for me, though so... Hm..."
Medouco paused, contemplating their surroundings for a moment. Her snakes of her hair were already beginning to prepare themselves for the hunt, eagerly sticking out their tongues and hissing softly. "Do you have any preferences in food?" She asked, offering the stranger a polite half-smile.
camaronas:
Lobco could certainly say that she was not expecting to run into Meduoco. This was a metropolis if ever she had seen one, and with how most people tended to be confused by the thought of sentient animals, it was safe to say that not many people brought here by the scientists were from home.
Yet as luck would have it, here she was faced by another person from that prison of hers. Of all the people it could have been, she was at least grateful it was Meduoco. The gorgon was the only person who had ever shown her a shred of kindness, but she was still not want Lobco would consider a ‘friend’. While she had never hurt her…she had never really done anything to save her from Roc, or free her.
It was…hard not to take that personally.
Nor to fully trust that she wouldn’t suddenly become violent too, so when she kneeled down before her, Loco couldn’t help but back away some, nearly pressing herself against the ground.
“…no. He isn’t.”
Hopefully the scientists would keep it that way. She had been very much appreciating
“I. I got here the same as everyone else, I think. Those scientists brought me here.”
She paid little mind to the small creature shrinking away from her touch. Though she critically squinted down at Lobco, there was no malice in her gaze or even in the beady inquisitive eyes of her serpents.
One of her hands raised to her mouth, providing her access to unconsciously and anxiously bite on the tip of her thumb as she thought. "This situation is a little disconcerting," Medouco admitted. "I'm not sure what I should do with you, Lobco."
If Roc were around, he would know what to do. Why did it always seem like she was stuck with his affairs? She never cared for his interests, in particular, what with how often he ruined their boss's castle for the "fun of it." In Lobco being his prisoner significant other, Medouco was forced to endure taking care of her while he was away. It was truly bothersome for her and a bit of a pain due to the resentment she was certain the shrimp carried towards her for assisting his fancies.
"Why are you in this form? Do you need water?"
Medouco sighed, before sheepishly rubbing the back of her neck. "This doesn't look like a safe place for a shrimp. The sun is beating down on you."

candykraken:
“Just a sec!” There’s a rapid tap-tap-tap of soft running footsteps, stopping abruptly at the door as Callie peers through the peephole, only to get an eyeful of… snakes? Those were definitely snakes, a whole bunch of them growing out of somebody’s head. At least they don’t seem aggressive, flicking all their cute little tongues.
Callie opens the door a crack, peering out. The sound of the tv can be heard muffled through the kitchen wall, and there’s a faint hissing coming from the kitchen as water boils. Little of her can be seen aside from one of her big gold eyes and the pointy teeth she’s nibbling at her lower lip with. “Hey! Uh. You need something?”
She could feel her nerves getting the best of her as soon as the door clicked open. Medouco held her breath briefly, waiting patiently for the person hidden behind the entrance to reveal herself. The question the stranger asked, however, forced Medouco to speak up despite how uneasy she felt. Evidently, her snakes returned the sentiment with how they curled and twisted around one another, quietly hissing amongst themselves.
"Actually, yes I do," she answered, all the while reaching into her dress pocket to pull out a scrap of paper. Medouco unfolded the creases of the parchment before showing it to the eye. Apartment A-5 was clearly, though, messily written in black ink on one side.
"I believe I may live here now."
“May I come in?”
@v-indicta
"What are you?"
The desperation Medouco felt after making such an important promise to her boss was what lead her to feel confident enough to ask such an immediate question to a stranger, who was minding his own business in the bustling shopping district of Sector 5. Under normal circumstances, Medouco wouldn't have cared enough to ask. There were thousands of demons in Satanick's underworld. She assumed it was possible for this world to work in a similar fashion.
But if the man in front of her was a demon, there was a chance he could be directly linked the devil of this world. She needed answers. This reason alone is what has her standing firm in front of him, blocking this individual's path with absoltely zero intentions on moving aside for him. Her eyes have fallen on him, narrowed and critical, fully prepared to give chase with her serpents, their fangs at the ready if he chose to flee.
"Are you a demon of this world or... Or this world's devil? Or... Or something else...?"
Well, so much for attempting to at least sound intimidating... Oh well.

“...B-Blue hair?”
Called upon snake hair proceeded to hover over the stranger while their host kept a safe distance away. In unison, however, the serpents and their master all blinked curiously at him as a group.
“Um... Could I assist you somehow?”
nacht-teufel:
There was a certain comfort in this, reviling in Medouco’s softness and his body completely cushioned in hers, safe and warm. A strong comfort, not known to the devil in quite some time. He never wanted to leave it, clinging to her tightly as if he would be pulled away or she would suddenly disappear out from underneath him. Hiccuping sobs continued as he clung, almost not even believing that she was actually here, rescuing him from the loneliness he had felt so intensely just moments before.
Her first attempts to escape were ignored, only holding on harder as she tried to push him off, persistent in his want of some kind of affection. She was here and with him, and nothing else mattered right then. Nothing else in the world mattered more then the feeling of someone who actually cared about him, her company meaning more to him then anything in this strange wrong world.
“You left… you all left me. W-why? Why?”
Tear stained purple eyes stared down at her own, as if trying to find an answer to his desperate questions in them. His entire body shook from his emotions, painful sounds forcing out of his throat as he continued to sob and cry helplessly. Gloved fingers and claws curling into her, holding tight, tight, tighter. She could never leave again, never, none of them could ever leave him. None of them were allowed to leave him, to abandon him, to forsake him. They couldn’t, they couldn’t!
Why did they? Why did they lave him to this, to this horrible place, with these horrible Gods? Why did his brother leave him, why did his subordinates leave him? His friends? Why did they all leave him alone? They know not to leave him, they know not to leave him alone. So why?
“You won’t… you won’t leave me again. You promised, you’re sorry… Then you won’t leave me ever. You won’t! You promised! You promised!”
The devil almost seemed to be getting giddy in saying such a thing, a broken smile dripping on his face, and his soft laughter combining with his sobs. She promised. She wouldn’t leave him, she wouldn’t. She said she wouldn’t so she couldn’t. Nobody else told him that. Nobody else. She would stay, she would stay with him here. Forever. She promised.
Slowly his eyes closed as her fingers ran through his hair, curling up close to the arms around him and shifting as she wished him to. His tears still stung his eyes harshly, but his sobs were beginning to slow down for the moment. Still his voice and body were full of exhaustion, already tired just from his emotional display. Sniffling, he pet the snake who came to comfort him on the head with his index finger.
“’M not hurt. Haven’t seen them. Haven’t seen the Gods here. They don’t want to see me. Just put me here. Took me.”
At least as he believed, what else could he think? To steal away a devil… it was a powerful crime. Another world’s devil was important, another war between worlds were inevitable in such a thing. His mind couldn’t help but have such thoughts at this point, nothing else here to distract him from such horrible thoughts. He worried for himself, and he worried for his world. And he wondered, where, oh where, were everybody else?
Death was normal for mortals, it was easy to forget. He didn’t like to think about such things though.
“Trying to get out, trying to get out all this time.”
His invention kept failing. His denial still wouldn’t let him give up, wouldn’t let him think about those fears without falling deep into despair. He had to believe that he could get them out, had to believe that he was still the best, the most powerful, the one who could fix it all. What else was there to cling to anymore? What else was there to cling to in his life?
But she was here now, she was here to offer up her comfort, to offer up herself for him to cling and own. And he would. He needed it, needed her presence to fulfill his own denials, to accomplish all he sought. He needed her.
“Medo… Get me out of here Medo.”
Initially, the underling managed to keep a level head with only little respite in the wake of her boss's distress. But Satanick's furious questions started to come out as roars. She had managed to maintain eye contact before, but the way her boss's voice continued to raise forced Medouco to flinch a few times beneath him. She silently cursed the tears starting to stream down her face amidst those reactions.
She bit down on her lower lip as she blinked up at him, hurriedly contemplating on how to help him feel better. He was much more upset with her than she thought... Well no, his anguish was not entirely towards her. It was the unfortunate situation they were in that was causing her boss to react so desperately. She needed to comfort him. She needed to console him.
The acknowledgment alone that he appeared even more scared than herself allowed Medouco to shakily reach up to cup his cheeks with both hands, comfortingly placing them there as he stared down at her with fingers tightening on her arms ever so slightly. She paid no mind to his claws sinking into her flesh. His pain was her pain. She always intended to accept any treatment he needed to dish out in order to feel better.
"Y-Yes... I promise, Lord Satanick. I-I promise. I p-promise," she whispered, glancing down at his hands as he began to laugh. His sobs in between made her heart hurt. Her devil looked so... Crushed. After hearing of his loss of control over Pitch Black's underworld and his theories about why they were there, she couldn't possibly blame him. No one could. The reality of their situation shook her as well.
If there was no devil in Pitch World, what would become of their friends and family? Were the Gods of the world they were in currently storming her devil's castle? What did this mean for Pitch World in its entirety? What did this mean for her boss, Satanick, weeping so openly in front of her? None of it felt real.
Medouco couldn't remember the last when he allowed himself to look like this in front of her. He was always such a charmer in her company. It wasn't often for Satanick to come to her in such a state of misery. He needed her. The concept alone was alarming. All of it was.
Her tears stopped flowing as his order to help him escape this world resounded in her brain. She stared at him, gaze unwavering as she considered those words. It was practically a plea. He was crying for her help. She needed to save him. Medouco needed to rescue Satanick just as he had done for her many times before.
She would. Medouco intended to help her devil no matter the consequences that came her way. Forever loyal and faithful at his side. He was her favorite person, after all. Her best friend... Her only friend.
Medouco's eyes fell closed as she slowly leaned forward to rest her forehead against his. When their noses touched, the underling sighed.
"I promise I will get you out of here... I will find a way."
No obstacle would stand in her way. She intended to put her life on the line if she needed to.
"You have my word."
@candykraken
Apartment A-5.
The lights indoors appeared to be on from what Medouco could tell. Well, in that case, apparently she had roommates. Despite the knowledge that her eyes no longer turned people into stone, a welcoming gift from the scientists she assumed, Medouco still felt nervous by the possibility of meeting new people. With being kept indoors behind castle walls consistently, she supposed other people outside of her situation could imagine why such a thing would be difficult for her. But... Did she even want to connect that deeply with other people in this strange city that swallowed her up? Did Medouco have any aspirations to reveal those things about herself, when the top priority on her mind was to help her boss get back to Pitch Black? It was hard to say, really.
Idly, Medouco wondered if making new friends was even particularly possible for the likes of her, a traditional, straight-forward, old housekeeper with serpents for hair. Amidst contemplating such strange things for a being such as herself to even be pondering, Medouco raised her hand to knock on the apartment door. Three knocks. One from her quivering raised fist and the other two from a pair of her curious snakes smacking their heads against the wooden door, evidently eager to get inside.
@camaronas
As the serpents of her hair splay out their long pink tongues for the whole city to see them, Medouco catches a strong whiff of nearby prey. It's the fresh fragrance of shrimp that they smell amidst the bustling city; it's a scrumptious aroma that her reptiles have grown accustomed to hunting down countless times before, making them beckon to their host with faint hissing for permission to search their surroundings. She knows that her little friends only "hunger" for such meats due to a taught longing and lust to the credit of a blue-haired bully who is thankfully no longer with them. It's what makes their host attempt disinterest. Medouco shook her head, waved her hand dismissively at her crew of gradually salivating snakes, and continued to walk down the street. There was no way she could look at shrimp the same way she once had, much less even consider eating some on that matter; whether they were of the sentient variety or not.
Alas, the more she continued to travel down the sidewalk, the more Medouco realized that it's not just any shrimp her snakes smell, but in fact a particularly familiar one. She wondered if it was even possible for someone held with such a short leash to wind up in a city such as this, held captive by God-like scientists. It was only when she considered the thought of him winding up in the city as well that Medouco gave into temptation and followed the scent.
"Ah, I knew it! No! L-Lobco!?"
She knelt down to loom over where the shrimp rested on the sidewalk, alarm, and dismay clear as day in the gorgon's expression.
"H-How did you get here!?" Medouco questioned, all the while bringing her snakes forward to offer shade across the small creature's frame.
"Is Roc here too!?"
I never got around to writing those intro posts I promised. So, instead of doing that, an rp ad works for now! Capping at 3.

@maidouco
As the end of the first day started to pass, the sun falling back beneath sight and the moon rising, Satanick was getting more and more impatient as time went on. Having tried to scour the city as best he could, he had found absolutely nobody. Well, that wasn’t quite true. There were some from his world he had found, but none that he had actually wished to see. His subordinates, his fellow devils, his brother; he had found nothing, absolutely no sign or hair of them.
After the failure of the first day, he had come up with a brilliant plan to create a invention to get him out of there. Waiting for the others was taking far too long of course, and his brother would take forever to help him out if he wished to keep him there as a joke. One day was far enough for him, and so he had started to gather parts. Soon his apartment was covered in nothing but bits of wire, metal, and other various useless things. And yet, none of it was enough. Working day and night lately to make anything he could out of these pieces to no avail, throwing them at the walls in frustration.
No, no! He could get out of here, he knew he could! What failure of a devil could let himself get captured by these Gods? Could let himself get shown up by them, being thawed at every turn? Certainly not him, never him! Never ever him, the best devil of them all, the smartest, the strongest! These Gods were nothing but idiots if they thought they could take on Pitch world like this, could take him on like this. For even without his powers, he was the best of them all, and he would prove that. Even if his brother wasn’t here, wasn’t picking him up for whatever reason, he could beat them all his own. Nothing could ever stop him, none of these people here, and nobody up there either.
Thoughts swirled inside of his head, over and over. Words of denial ringing constantly, of his power of his achievements. Nothing that mattered in his place. Nothing that mattered to anybody. None of it mattered. Nobody here mattered. He didn’t matter. But oh but he did, he knew he did, he always mattered, he was the devil he was always important even to those in another world. Always, always, always, always, always, ALWAYS, ALWAYS.
He mattered, they would see that. The Gods here would see that. They had to. They had to let him go. They had to. The people here had to see him, hear him, touch him, witness him. They would, they would see that he was important, the most important to them all. And he would be the one to get them out of here. The one who would show those Gods. The one who would put them in his place beneath him. Him, him, nobody else but him.
Why was nobody here? Why did nothing come? Did they notice him gone? Did his brother notice him gone? Did any of them? They cared he was gone, they did. They noticed, they had to. Perhaps the war these Gods had already started? Yes, yes that was it. There was a war out there, that’s why nobody could come just yet, yes that made perfect sense. Then he would just have to be the one who went and got out of here himself and enter the war, winning it for them all. He would be the hero of this war, and everybody would know of his arrival and his power then. Yes, yes of course they would. How could they not? How could anybody not? How could the people here not? They were fools to not realize.
He didn’t quite realize he was saying this all out loud as he walked down the streets, looking for even more materials to put in his invention, even as it was a failure so far and most likely would only be again. He probably sounded even more crazy to others as he passed by, not even seeing them and only focused on his task and his own thoughts turned words. It wasn’t until he saw that single radiant sight, the familiar white of a nurses uniform matched with snakes of white scales that he stopped short, his thoughts finally quiet for a moment and his face blank.
And then he was running up to her, and despite if she knew he was coming or not, grabbed her suddenly, hugging her to the ground. And much like him not realizing he was talking out loud, he didn’t yet realize he was crying yet either until several minutes later.
“Where… where have you been… Medo… Why did you leave me, don’t leave me again…You’re not allowed to…”
Her eyes were focused on the ground, attempting to not make eye contact with anyone out of instinct. She was made acutely aware during her first day in the city that her eyes were no longer cursed to turn a helpless, innocent bystander into stone. Medouco had nothing to fear in that regard, though it was difficult to break old bad habits so quickly. It was hard enough to purposefully walk around the city without being mindful of every single person around her. The snakes of her hair had a tendency of staring and gawking at the people she passed.
In going about her business, hoping to find a job and abide by the social experiment she was thrown into, Medouco never anticipated being suddenly tackled to the ground in broad daylight by a giant, terrifying mass of a man.
After falling to the gravel with a loud thump, Medouco gritted her teeth in distress. She landed flat on her rump. Painful vibrations shot from the small of her back and up into her spine, making it feel as though her brain and eyeballs were vibrating after impact. An awful throbbing sensation. Underneath the grasp of the random individual, desperately wanting to put immediate distance between herself and her attacker, Medouco pushed and squirmed with all her might.
It was only after the voice of her boss came from the man when Medouco realized that this person was no stranger. "Lord Satanick?" She asked in a whimper, visibly shaken as his arms curled around her frame tighter and tighter.
His question as to where she had gone off to filled Medouco with immediate guilt, albeit confusion as well since it ultimately implied that had not known of her whereabouts. Did Satanick not have a hand in the social experiment at all? How peculiar.
"I... I'm so sorry," the gorgon rasped, eyes widening as she stared up at Satanick from beneath her winding and curling snakes. The serpents seemed to calm down immediately when they realized it was their boss who pushed Medouco down, rather than a stranger. Medouco shared the sentiment. She felt relieved to have his company at her side. Perhaps he knew more than her regarding what was going on and why they were there in such a strange city in the first place.
Though, after feeling his hot tears land on her cheeks and hearing his broken sobs, the hope for answers from Satanick was lost. Her devil was suffering much more than her in the situation they were in, such a somber thing was clear.
She wrapped an arm around his shoulders and pulled him close, gently rubbing his arm. Despite the heaviness that was her boss laying across her body, Medouco managed to prop herself up with her other arm. Medouco sunk into the warmth of his embrace, worriedly squeezing Satanick's frame in the hope of comforting and soothing her devil.
"I-I didn't mean to leave you," She told him piteously, silently praying for his forgiveness. Medouco's snakes were apparently worried about him as well. They watched him closely, eyeing his public display of vulnerability and emotional weakness in clinging to their host so desperately. One of the serpents slithered toward him to lick and nip at his cheek affectionately, attempting to soothe him.
Medouco moved her hand upward to brush soft fingers between black tresses. Making sure to be careful with her boss, the gorgon avoided any physical contact with his horns while gently petting and tending to him. "It won't happen again," she promised.
She carefully lifted his upper body, still clutching Satanick and keeping him steady. "Are you hurt at all?" Medouco asked, red and yellow eyes gazing down at her devil in concern.
Hello hello! I should probably make this really quickly before I forget to do so! I will reblog this post to Wadanohara’s blog as well.
My name is Vivi and it’s a pleasure to meet you all. I’m super excited to be here with my pals! I’m going to work on my intro posts for both Wadanohara and Medouco before I put up a starter call. For now, though, I am obviously up for any plotting if anyone is interested.
I also decided to make a citta twitter for me to talk about my muses because I’ve heard that like... The cool kids do that, I guess? Talk with me over there as well if you wanna! ♡
