Modern technology exists alongside the elemental powers of Teyvat—cars race through city streets, firearms stand beside catalysts, phones replace messengers, and every character naturally possesses their elemental affinity instead of a Vision. While gods have fallen into history, the legends remain. Archons now stand as mortal leaders of their organizations, powerful enough to command fear without divinity, while the Shades and Sinners lurk above them as the true monsters of the underworld.
Every character lives a double life. By day, you may be a respected police commissioner, judge, scholar, businessman, or public official. By night, you’re an assassin, don, enforcer, spy, or consigliere. Your allies know your secrets. Your enemies would kill to learn them. Every deal, betrayal, and alliance has consequences that ripple throughout the entire city.
The peace between the districts is tenuous. Turf wars have scarred Teyvat before, and another could erupt with a single bad decision. Every organization controls its own criminal enterprise, every leader protects their territory, and every summit between them threatens to become the spark that ignites another Cataclysm.
