Eurydice: why would I become his wife?
Hermes: maybe for the vibe
Eurydice: vibe? That's worth a lot,,
i like how when referencing Hades, Hermes says âOh, weâll get to himâ and then the rest of the show features not only the whole cast going to Hadesâ location, but also Orpheus (and really Eurydice, the Workers, Persephone, and the entire context of the events that happen) âgetting toâ Hades as in, getting through to Hades and ultimately affecting him.
orpheus, drawn halfheartedly with my left thumb on my phone
was anyone going to tell me that broadway!Orpheus managed to push two of the workers away before getting curbstomped? đ bway!Orphe is considered the Delicate Flower of the Orpheus Collective but đ my boy gets back up after taking a Timothy Hughes (and four other people) to the face đđđ my squirmy little cadet really kept right on struggling the whole way through đ oh my god đ
okay but Orpheus singing the line from The Grinning Man, about âFighting for the strength to look into the eyes of someone who is maiming you, and see that theyâre the same as youâ and âI look in the eyes of [the king/god of...? the man who...something? and I see myselfâ đ
despite having seen the london and broadway versions and knowing how the scene plays out, i can never listen to Wedding Song and not visualize it as a fun little dance taking place, complete with a few twirls.
Hermes: How to get to Hadestown. You gotta take the
through the underground under cover of night layin low stayin out of sight
orpheus moves like when shaggy or scooby try to run and theyâre just kind of stuck in one place for a second before they actually get going
how many times do i have to listen to hadestown before i build up immunity and it stops making me Feel Things(tm) iâm exhausted from turning inside out every time i hear if itâs true or chant ii
so like. where do the fates go and what do they do after the end of hadestown? do they stick around to be mean to eurydice or do they follow orphe around and sneakily suggest he try jumping off a cliff from time to time or..?
Hadestown but instead of If Itâs True Orpheus sings Youâre the Voice by John Farnham except instead of the âwhoa oh oh oh ohâs he sings Lalalas to the same tune
wofai replied to your post âlondon!orpheus has the spirit of a young tom cruise characterâ
Now why would you say something so controversial yet so brave?
because truth demands to be spoken
Hermes: You wanna talk to her?
Orpheus: Yes.
Hermes: Orpheus. Don't come on too strong.
Orpheus:
Orpheus, approaching Eurydice: Trombone, with me.
Eurydice: Wha
Brian Drye, standing next to Orpheus: *passionate trombone noises*
Orpheus: It's for moral support and also atmosphere. You're pretty. We should get married.
Hades: *trying to explain the logic of kings to Orpheus* Orpheus
Hey Little Songbird but The Tall Guy is Eurydice, thank you and good evening.
