María José “Majo” Flores (Melissa Barrera) is the youngest child out of the Flores Camacho family; she has three older brothers and for the most part were inseparable growing up. She grew up in town and is a local. Is the daughter of the former police commissioner, who recently retired. Though she went to school for law school out of state she has taken another career as a furniture restorer, or a furniture doctor like she likes to call herself. Majo fell out with her family when her father’s affair came out, though her mother has chosen to stay in the marriage and make it work she hasn’t been able to forgive him. Mostly cause her father used her to continue the affair — he would say he was visiting her but he went to see her and even got Majo to help her with her divorce proceedings all under deceit. She has been back in town for two years now, came back when her grandmother fell ill and when she passed away she inherited her estate and as been an instructor at the local hardware helping people give their furnitures a second life. Before she left law school she ended up turning down her marriage proposal cause she had to go find herself yolo back home. 

Biography: 

For the past ten generations, everyone in her family has become a police officer. 

Her mother was a socialite, her parents met when her father had come to the rescue when her mother had managed to obtain the attention of a stalker, the rest was history. Her parents have always there for Majo and her three brothers, always showing them all attention and support. It is probably because of the devoting parents' care that Majo always had a strong head on her shoulders.

During high school, she was the soccer captain as well as a member on track and dabbed in boxing, overall she was a jock. Her passion though was writing, she was great with short stories and writing stories for the local newspaper. This didn’t bring any joy to her father who wanted her to follow the family legacy and fall in line. Especially now that he was the Police Commissioner. 

Living as the daughter of a man of such status wasn’t easy. Especially when it came to dating. Her father was overbearing and even had a couple of off duty cops follow her to her prom and make sure she was back for her curfew. Mr. Flores always treated his children like everyone else and didn’t give them any special treatment. All the Flores males started at the bottom of the food chain when they graduated from the Police Academy.  The one time that Majo got into trouble with the law she ended up having to serve her time and spending the night in jail. 

During her junior year she leaned on her youngest brother, they were just one year apart from each other so he was able to understand what she was going through when it came to deciding what to do for the rest of her life. It was during this time that she decided that she was going to go into law and set aside her writing passion, she felt like it was a great compromise between being a writer or becoming a police officer. At least this way she didn’t let her father down too much. 

Then everything came shattering when her father’s two year affair came out. Thankfully it was something that was kept hush hush in the family but it was almost like a death in the family. Especially with Seyhan since her father had taken her with his lover under false pretenses and she had gotten her suspicious but couldn’t confront it so she choose denial. Then her father confessed everything to their mother and their mother came to Majo. Though there were a couple of months that her mother had decided to get divorce she didn’t go through it and decided to stay in the marriage to make things work. 

Majo on the other hand never made nice with her father and created a bridge and even distance as she went to Columbia University for undergrad for pre law. Realizing that she no longer owe her father anything she decided to not pursue law school and came back home. As for her love life Majo had a serious relationship that she mostly kept because it was comfortable. It wasn’t till he was on his knees proposing that Majo had to say no and decided she needed to figure out who she was versus who she was trying to be for her father, who she no longer speaks to.

Crashing at her best friend’s sofa till her grandmother passed away and left her, her estate to her. Soon she started to dab into decorating and designing her house and started to get real interest in it. Soon she started her own instagram profile and social media placing items she took up for sale. The local hardware store gave her an offer as an instructor and now she gives local classes for people and is looking to start her own store in the future.

“I guess I can’t have you thinking I’m lazy. But I’d be fine with just staying here with you. At least your mattress is kind of comfy.” He teased but nodded. Camden wasn’t sure if she wanted the whole spectacle of celebrating this day. There were some who just despised it. But, now that he was certain that she wasn’t too anti-Valentine’s day - the man had a few tricks up his sleeves. As noted from previous times. “Does this apply to you as well, I mean I think that’s fair right?” He smirked slightly in turn. “Auction myself up? Yeah, definitely not. Though I would be curious to see if you do in fact get jealous. But don’t worry the only Valentine’s I want is you. And on that note - would you be my Valentines?” He cheesed. Yes, corny and all but these holidays were fueled by it. “Alright cliché it it is then. Now, I do have a few plans but would you rather me take you out to dinner or can I cook for you instead? Since obviously ordering in may be out of the questioning. They must have you and affiliates banned from that one time.” The man couldn’t help but laugh. Surely, she probably wasn’t as amused as he was but that was neither here nor there.

“Kind of comfy? With the noises you were making last night that is not the review that I would be giving it.” She teased right back at him before seating up on the bed and looking down at him. Majo wasn’t sure if she was suppose to be excited about the holiday, after all they have just been dating for what? two to three months now so maybe it wasn’t a huge deal at all. Or maybe it was. There needed to be a guidebook out there for people that didn’t date often or were returning to this world because someone had to let her know what the damn rules were so that way she wasn’t out here looking stupid. “I wasn’t going to stop you if you wanted. After all the money goes to a charitable cause does it not?”  a smile tugging at her lips as the jealousy was brought up, she didn’t want to really go there. For the most part she didn’t see herself as someone that would get jealous, then again she hadn’t seen herself as the one to be in a relationship ever again. Yet here she was, completely tied to the man on her bed and his stupid goofy smile. “I think this is the holiday where the man comes up with all the ideas. Though I do have to call dibs on breakfast tomorrow.” Stella had given her advice on how to make the most kickass plate and she was excited to show off her skills. “ -- Listen, it should’ve been you that got banned and not I,” Majo ended up protesting as she grabbed the nearest pillow and smacked it against his face, “That app is completely bias.”

“I mean, I am surprisingly good at picking locks,” Stella shrugged, though it had been awhile since those skills had come in handy. “And there’s nothing like a late night mission to claim what’s yours that gets my blood running. But fine, let’s focus on breakfast.” She looked over the list the other had started, clucking her tongue. “Who are we impressing, and what’s their spice pallet like? Are we going with traditional pancakes or french toast, or going more eclectic - I can make an incredible picadillo frittata.”

“I feel like I shouldn’t tempt faith. Cause with my luck one of my brothers would arrest me and then I would have to come face to face with my father,” and that was the last thing that Majo wanted to do. Perhaps in a couple of months she would come around, maybe five to ten years. Hey -- the big guy himself had always walked around saying if you couldn’t do the time then you shouldn’t do the crime, so he had only himself to blame for this. “technically he would be called my boyfriend but we’re not labeling things because then my flight response kicks in,” she confided as she chuckled lightly, her lips tugging into a warm smile, “Kinda want to introduce him to spice -- he’s from the countryside and I just want to make sure he’ll be ready for my mother’s mexican cuisine when he meets her.” Her index finger pointed towards the other as excitement took over, “Yes -- that would be perfect.”

“Oh, this? This was my son’s doing,” he said, gesturing to the badge on his shirt. “I’m also very pleased to tell you that-” he paused to pull the item out of his pocket “-I have a spare. If you’re interested…”

Maybe he’ll be able to give the entire law enforcement badges a new makeover. Love the glittery unicorn on yours.”

She needed to get a bigger car. Majo had been looking at trucks lately but her bank account kept on screaming at her no. Ever since she got herself cut off from her family and that lovely trust fund she had grown up with she was learning to make due with what she had. Not that she minded too much -- not until she had days like these. Usually she’s able to push any furniture she picks up into her car. Majo had gone so far as to sometimes drive with her trunk open, short distances of course and taking precautions because she couldn’t afford a fine. So how she had fucked this one up was beyond her. The seller told Majo the dresser needed to go today since they were moving the next day. This was when Majo went back to her car and tried to see if she could perform a damn miracle, but knew the answer. Quickly a blonde caught her attention. She knew this was a risk but fuck it, quickly she crossed the road, “Rebecca --” she shouted, knowing they weren’t close enough for her to call her by anything else. Once she caught up she slowed her pace down, “Can I ask for a favor? I’ll buy you lunch.”

Valentine’s day. The man wasn’t completely against it, though he did sometimes think it was just a Hallmark holiday. Or an excuse for someone to make up for the time they may be lagging in that gift department for their partner. Like there shouldn’t just be one day to show someone you care. That should be a constant thing if you have feelings for that significant other. Though this was the first one in quite some time he wasn’t technically single for it. Camden knew the gist of what one could categorize what he and the other were. But, he wasn’t about to bring that up in case it would render fear. However, if someone asked if he was seeing someone he would without a doubt state her name. “Already thinking of ways to get rid of me huh?” The man teased, arching a brow. “I don’t know I’m quite content being right here.” He grinned. Though nodding not long after. Then beginning to sit up. “Something tells me you’re going to forbid me to wear a shirt. I am going to have start hiding my extras from you.” Another joke. “So, how cliché are you wanting to be for Valentines?”

Her business was successful and her love life seemed to be going the same route. If someone would’ve told her a couple of years ago that she would have her shit together she wouldn’t had believed it. Especially the relationship area, after just going for males that would grant her father’s approval she forgot how things were suppose to feel. What a relief it was not to have to fake anything. If she wasn’t outs with her family Majo would even dare and say that everything was perfectly fine. “Who ever said you were going to go away? I was saying we should do something else instead of tangling between the sheets.” Her tongue poked her cheek as she leaned forward, closing the distance between them, “I suppose staying here wouldn’t be the worst valentines to ever exist. At least it’ll be better than the first one -- you know with all the blood,” she reference the history behind the holiday as she drew the moment out. “Maybe just in my house and your house. We can just enact a whole no shirt policy system,” her lips slowly shifted into a smirk, “Oh let’s go all the way. You only live once, right? -- surprise you didn’t auction yourself up.”

B. HAYES.

Birdie had been meaning to take some classes to learn how to do simple fixes for some time. She hated not being able to fix easy things on her own and a youtube video was not helpful for her. She learned best by watching someone who can then help her when she inevitably messed up whatever it was she was doing. She walked into the store and back to the room the class that she signed up for would be held in, looking around to see she was the only one there at that moment. She sat down in one of the seats, pulling out her phone. She only looked up when someone else walked into the room.

Majo was still getting used to the idea of being an instructor and doing something that she actually liked. Lately her life just felt like one nonstop dream, that was till she was forced to remember the absence of her family do to her father’s actions. She ended up pulling into the hardware shop a few minutes late, which was the norm for Majo, something she was trying to stop doing and though it might not seem like an improvement it was. A couple of months ago she had managed to be half an hour late -- never again though. Walking to her classroom she walked past the tables and placed her bag down before looking at the rather empty room. Not every class was a hit, she didn’t take it personal. Especially ones in the middle of the week, “Hey -- I’m Majo,” she broke the silence with her introduction, “Seems like it is just you and I. Honestly, these are my favorites. Always been a one and one person. Anything in particular you’re wanting to learn? Since I can tailor today for just us?” She paused as she moved forward but came to a stop, "If you're ok with that -- or we can reschedule if you want a bigger group." After all she wanted the woman to feel comfortable.

"You’re going to help me break into my parent’s house so I can get back my motorcycle? How do you figure we’re going to do that Es?” Her parents had decided to keep her ride hostage till she grew up and decided to have an actual conversation with them. Majo on the other hand thought that not talking to liars and cheaters was a damn good rule to abide. It actually went hand on hand with her parents teachings but no one was ready for that conversations, “Perhaps, we should just keep working on our grocery list. You said you would help me make a decent breakfast for Valentine’s.”

She had never been someone to look forward to Valentines but something about this year made her realized that she had never truly celebrated the holiday the right way -- or even with the right person. Not putting a huge weight onto Camden, but she felt more at peace with this year than her previous ones where she had been running around trying to locate the perfect gift just to feel like completely lost. This year she wasn’t in a rush nor had she been nervous about it. Which probably explained why the two of them just ended up tangled in her bed until late in the morning. Once the moments passed by she ended up sitting up, looking down at Camden, “We should probably do something more for our first Valentines. It could be our last one, you never know,” with a small smile she glanced at him playfully. Her hand roam through his chest, “Though good luck getting your shirt back, kinda fits me better than it ever fit you.”

S. TURAN.

                  Reaching for her glass, she rose it higher towards her friend for a cheers. “To making sure that we never let another person leave us dry and unsatisfied.” Selin had done so many times when she was younger but her pleasure wasn’t anything she was willing to sacrifice anymore. Her blunt nature had only grown throughout the years as a nurse and telling men when to leave became a normal occurrence. The bartender was cute. He could serve drinks and keep somewhat of a decent conversation; not that he’d need it later on, but he would do for tonight. The best that could happen was that she’d get a few drinks for free next time as a thank you for giving him the best night of his life, and the worst, she’d have to find a new bar to attend after those late night hospital shifts. “The dream is being served drinks as he multitasks.” Selin joked. If only she could be so lucky but her mattress was the only thing keeping her sane these days. “I’m going to need an extension cord if I get a plug-in.”

“The friend discount, i feel special.” She would pay, of course. Her respect for Majo was too grand for her to not give a good chunk of money for the dresser she hoped she could do for her. “I just need a dresser. I’m trying to re-vamp by bedroom but I have no idea where to start.” A dresser was something she could work around. “That awful, doll? I haven’t been able to look at a porcelain doll after seeing that cursed movie.” After another sip of her drink, she let out a sigh that was directed more towards the chaos that was her life. Most of which she’d brought upon herself by being too involved in some situations. “i’m trying to get away from drama. I’ve been working a lot so any time off would be nice but not having to be around chaos is the main reason. My friend went back to her ex that cheated on her. It’s been a lot.”

“Amen,” she mumbled, as she ended up mirroring the woman’s action as she raised her glass and took a drink herself. That was something she could get behind one hundred percent. Majo had just recently entered the era where she was doing her best to not be a people pleaser. The try had to be there just because she knew she didn’t want to go around throwing certainties when she wasn’t even sure that she was there yet. Needless to say there was one thing she could say and that was that she was closer to it. Her siblings had made remarks about how she had managed to grow a spine throughout the past couple of years. It was a damn improvement if she was honest but she didn’t want to toot her own whistle, just not yet. “A girl can dream, right? I just don’t see it going well for you tonight. Especially with the group of females you’re going to have to powl --” she tilted her head towards the other females that had the same idea as her.

“You are,” Majo knew that she was still walking on thin ice considering how her actions hadn’t been the best. Her brothers didn’t understand why she couldn’t just get on board with forgiving their father and his actions. After all their mother had. “Dolls, I just can’t get over their creepiness to be honest. A dresser is safer. For now. Until Stephen King decides to fuck shit up there.” Then Selin mentioned infidelity -- could anyone in this town keep it in their pants? Was it really that hard for males to just not cheat? She paused as her jaw fought against her. She had to remind herself that she didn’t know this situation. Maybe it was different -- if that was even possible. So she rolled her lips inward and nodded, “Maybe he’s really sorry -- people make mistakes. They can change as well.” God, she sounded like her damn brothers, what was she going to say next? Forgiveness is the right thing to do? “The most important thing is your relationship with her, isn’t it?” Majo was not the right person to have this talk with. Majo had decided to say fuck it to her father and mother.

Colt barely contained a laugh at her look to the dog and the offer of him. “Don’t think he’d get on with the goose all too well,” Colt said with a nod to the winged offender. “Also, I already have two dogs, a horse, a three legged raccoon, a fox, and one very attached and stubborn possum who. Will. Not. Wild.” Damn Kevin. Colt had managed to re-wild a lot of the other animals outside of damn possum. The raccoon would never leave him. Injured and too docile. The fox was the same. Colt rescued him out a field. At her mention of Mason, Colt dug into his pockets and procured a card for Mason. It had the address of the small animal vet. At the mention of the dog not being hers, Colt nodded. “Seems like you’re a co-owner now. Whether you like it or not.” It was a weird place to be, Colt had been there before. Generally with chipmunks though, and not a whole ass dog. Outside of Midnight, but that was a different story. “Yeah, I learned goat, it makes me laugh. I’m working on learning some of the British slang instead, purely from reality TV, so I guarantee it’ll be terrible.”

“Seems to be more of his problem then.” Majo was quick to offer, not that she really would abandoned Sputnik just like that but the dog didn’t have exactly the best track record with getting along with others. “Him and I aren’t doing the best either. Yesterday I found him chewing on my crocs -- and yes before you say anything, I know I have joined a cult and I am ok with that because there is nothing you or anyone can say that will deter me from my lime green crocs that just happened to have a baby yoda clip on,” she proudly offered up knowing in the back of her head that none of this was helping the current situation and the male in front of her probably had a million and ten things to do especially with that goose. “I think I am more of the legal guardian and she gets to just be a part time father -- it’s great, really. Just have lost three pairs of sandals and a bag already,” Sputnik on the other hand just did a small circle before lying down on the ground as to let Majo know that he wasn’t going anywhere. “Goat? Impressive. Always wanted one when I was younger -- had a dream of having a farm but now I am starting to see perhaps just not yet.” It was probably best to get her own shit figured out before dragging anymore innocent lives into it, “Thanks for the help though -- I appreciate it.”

“And yet you’re trying to dress me up as him. So, is that your subtle way of calling me a dick?” He joked, clearly as indicated with his grin. “Whatever you’re most comfortable with.” Jokes aside, this was new territory he knew. Labels didn’t really matter to Camden anyways if that was the route she wanted to go on. “And you don’t think I know that? Obviously, it’s my money maker.” He laughed teasing her right back. They did come in handy at times he could admit that. A lot of people seemed to prefer that color these days. They were just eyes though. He wasn’t all wrapped into that kind of stuff. “I guess that’s what made you so into me right? Your secret crush for Tom Felton.” He teased even further. Obviously, Camden didn’t have the blonde hair like the actor did but the concept for the eyes was still accurate. 

“And yet you haven’t run out of here like a bat outta hell. What is the world coming to?” He mused with a smirk, letting his hands go briefly in case she needed to make that escape. “You can’t blame me either. I’m not holding on to you now.” He grinned continuing to joke. Though returning his hands back in place as his fingers made the same gesture as before, rubbing her back gently. “I won’t press too much on that. Even if I joke most of the time. Seriously, what you’re comfortable admitting is fine by me. You already know my feelings for you. And I think you at least tolerate me or I wouldn’t be here.” He smiled, taking the point of the conversation a little more serious. It was his way though to comfort her if she was anxious about it. Well, more then usual at least with this particular subject. He let himself be lead and took a seat. Camden found the first movie on a streaming app, waiting to push play until she returned. “Yeah, I already have prepared myself for that. And don’t worry - I know I’m on my own with that. You certainly aren’t going to translate for me.” He chuckled. “At least I know what Gringo means - sure that will be stated a lot. They’re not going to disown you cause I don’t speak Spanish right?” He asked, curious though. “If so, then I guess I better get my ass in gear in learning.”  

“I think you saved yourself with the gummy bears. So, my lips are sealed.” He smirked but nodded. “I told you I could order us food. But at least you’re eating. Yes, I’ll take the blame for you not finishing those fries. I already know you’re going to blame me regardless.” He laughed. “That’s all you. I don’t want to push my luck with that tone.” Camden replied back. “But I will be grabbing some of those gummy bears.” His sweet tooth was clearly showing as he leaned over and grabbed some into his hand. Then popping them into his mouth and swallowing. “As much as I would love to see that, I don’t think it’s worth you laughing your ass off at me in a Draco costume.” He challenged back while arching his own brow. “But if you just want me to loose my shirt, that’s all you had to say.” He mused with a certain deviousness in his smile. With his free hands now from eating the gummy bears - Camden pulled at the ends of his shirt and raised it up. Then off and placed it by his side. Clearly, just teasing her back. He had full intentions of putting it back on after the small show.

“It was just a suggestion!” She could feel that the distance between the two of them kept on disappearing with every single step they did within their relationship. One after another one, just like a game of chess if she had ever learned to play said game. Her guard seem to drop a little every single time which was great news while at the same time leaving her completely terrified of what she was opening herself to. “What are you comfortable with?” she asked, tossing the subject matter back towards him seeing if she could gauge anything from his response. “My celebrity crush is actually Oscar Isaac if I am being honest with you. Or perhaps it was Poe, might have thing for pilots now that I think about it,” she disclosed while looking across her and taking the sight of him inside her house in,  right down to the twitch in the corner of his mouth that preempted a smirk as a response to her last comment.

Her cheek rested on her hand, as she tried to hide the slight smile that appeared regarding that honestly in that statement. “Should I be running?” He would be the first one to disclose if she had any reason to leave, right? “I just tolerate you. Till the new edition of boy toys hit this summer at the very least.” she teased him, a dimple ghosting at the edge of her tiers right underneath her orbs as she leaned in stealing the gummy bear that he was about to pop into his mouth and placing it inside hers. He had told her about how he felt and she had appreciated that. Majo just didn’t know how much one was supposed to disclose and how much was suppose to be kept close to her chest. If anything, learning how to flip her first furniture pieces was easier than any territory that this new relationship had. “Shocker part is I actually like this. You and I -- makes me happy.” So it wasn’t deep or her baring her soul but it was a step in the right direction, and that would have to be enough at least for right now. 

“Look at that, that is more than I thought you would know,” A smile ghosted along Majo’s lips. “We will just get you the google translator app. That way it can translate as you have the conversation.” The radiant smile softened on her expression, hazel gaze fixed on his as she shook her head sideways, “No, not at all. Might make the whole family interactions a bit complicated but as long as you make me happy, treat me well and they see that -- that’s all they care about.” Not to mention her father had lost any right to comment on her love life when he had done what he had. Alas, that wasn’t here or there so she didn’t offer to bring it up. “I made food for us. Thought I would save you some money since you’re always paying for things. Besides it was nice to -- got to try out the new kitchen.” That she already had plans to remodel. “Alright,” quipped back instantly, “Lose the shirt for the entirety of the movie.” She challenged as she reached over, hovering over him for a brief second as she snatched the blanket from him, “Nope -- don’t even think about covering up. Lets see how the farm life treated you -- can I wash my shirts on your abs?”

He decided just agreeing to disagree was the best bet. Even so if it wasn’t all that clear and verbal. Camden just shook his head. Stubborn to the end he guessed. “Lucas Scott- who? Wait, that name sounds familiar. Knowing you it’s from some TV show. Wait isn’t that like the guy who was in a love triangle or something and cheated?” Camden vaguely remembered his sisters yelling at their tv for a few episodes about that. Shit what was it called? Now, that he couldn’t remember. “Oh, wow you said dating. I’m impressed. I am quickly moving up in the ranks. Boy toy to dating - well look at that.” He smirked, of course teasing the other to no end. How couldn’t he? That was each of their thing no matter the situation. “I have to bring some calm to your storm, think it evens out.” Even if Camden had his own routine, he honestly liked the little bit of crazy. Not that she was by any stretch but he enjoyed that she could be totally up for shenanigans like they had involved themselves with. Camden may have had boring choices with what he drinks but he preferred to be somewhat spontaneous to make up for that. “There’s no way you will lure me anywhere near a crazy house. So, you can keep dreaming on that. “ Camden refused to think of some lucrative plot you could do for that. Though, however not putting it entirely against her to think of something like that. She had this knack of always throwing him off guard. He definitely didn’t want a repeat of the set up she pulled with that blonde. “You just set yourself up for that one. Blackmail in case you try to throw me to the wolves and have those jackets tested.” He beamed with a grin. “Couldn’t be worse from when I was in high school and the girl’s Dad said if I hurt his daughter that he will be the last thing I see before I talk to God. All the while pretending to clean his shotgun.” The male admitted. Fathers, brothers - it was all the same. Being protective came with the territory. “You call it boring, I call it safe.” He settled in turn. “That sounds perfect.” The man genuinely admitted. Of course with good company and Harry Potter - to Camden that was more then ideal. “I think you’re just going to show me your obsession with Draco. “He wasn’t the greatest character,” she admitted, Majo had always been a Nathan fan but that was not something she wished to disclose here. As his observation became clear she gently tapped the tip of his nose, “Dating,” she repeated, the word in itself felt foreign, almost as when she had began to learn english. This was almost like learning a different language for her. This was the first relationship that she pursue on her own and had no one’s input in it. It wasn’t attached to her father or any expectation placed on her. “I have to say I almost like boy toy better. Just seems to roll off the tongue easier wouldn’t you agree?” leaning her forehead against his before placing a gentle kiss on his forehead. Majo rolled her eyes at him, more for old times’ sake than anything when his comment about his contribution to the relationship fell. “You’re lucky that you have a decent pair of baby blues, I hope you know that.” she chuckled, shaking her head lightly, to make it clear she was joking.

“I mean technically -- if we get into the legalities of it. You are my boyfriend -- that’s a big word for me,” she added in a light laugh, pushing up on her toes to press a convincing kiss to his lips.Then she pulled away from him, landing on her heels as she grabbed his hand and lead him to the sofa. Quickly grabbing the blanket that was on the side and tossing it gently over to him. Just as soon as that was done Sputnik made his way from the outside sniffing Camden and then turning her focus back at Majo. The woman patted him and picked up his bone tossing it to his bed and he followed it laying on his bed not wasting a second making himself comfortable. As Majo turned the television on and gave him the remote, “I’ll go get the cheese board,” she informed him as she headed to the kitchen, “Also my father and brothers would put all of those to shame. Not to mention they will be talking smack in spanish -- how are your duolingo classes coming along?”

Opening the fridge she pulled out her adult lunchable and walked over placing it on the coffee table in front of the sofa before taking a seat besides him, “Home you enjoy the adult lunchable I made. To be fair I thought it would just be moi so yes we do have blu cheese and goat cheese -- please keep your remarks to yourself and yes I have gummy bears” the disclosed as she brought her legs up onto the sofa before reaching over to grab a cracker and stacking it up, finishing it off with a gummy bear on top. “Here,” she offered her masterpiece over to Camden, “Try to knock it down, I dare you.” She offered. “Also, what if I said I would put one of my cosplay outfits would that interest you in just dressing up like Draco --”  She levied, kinking an eyebrow in obvious interest, clearly wondering if he would go along, “What about a fireman and no shirt? I know -- you could just give me a strip tease?”

L. FOLEY.

“I mean, I don’t exactly have a plan, but like, we can figure it out.”

“I mean I guess it’s not technically stealing if it’s my property considering he never paid his bill. Just taking back what is mind, right?” She ended up rationalizing it, after all Majo didn’t want to end up with a criminal record but at the same time she had put enough work and her own money in restoring the dresser that was in question and it’s been three months since the payment was due.

S. TURAN.

         Selin knew how much Majo was right. The chances that she would be disappointed were far more probable than her reaching any sort of pleasure. “Some people walk around like they are gods gift to mankind and the fact that they barely know the female anatomy is sad.” She knew because she’d watched too many husband’s collect their jaw when their girlfriends came in with some type of issue down south. As Majo scanned the room, Selin turned and did the same. They were hardly trying to hide it and she began to sigh louder and louder the more she looked over her choices. “You— but I think that option is off the table so let’s re-evaluate.” The guy in the corner was the hottest but the weirdest, by far. “The bartender. Mainly because I want free drinks but otherwise, I believe I’ll just be buying some batteries on the way home.” It felt like the safest option at this point. Maybe she’d call Tan if he wasn’t working.

“If I wanted a new dresser, could I pay you to do it for me? I know that a lot of your work is expensive so I’m willing to help out.” She’d watched enough youtube videos to figure out that she knew her way around a piece of furniture but also that a lot of these pieces were priced a lot higher than they actually cost. Selin was subtly asking for some type of deal. She made good money but not enough to buy a one of a kind piece of furniture. “You shouldn’t feel bad. They can’t take it and usually it’s the family giving it away, right?” Selin didn’t know much because even though her parents had died, she hadn’t dealt with anything yet. “Somewhere far. I was hoping to go to Ireland…maybe, I’m not sure.” A dream vacation that felt unattainable.

The woman nodded fully agreeing with the statement of the other. God, some late depressing nights ended up coming up to mind for Majo. College had been a difficult time for her, especially when it came to matters under the sheets. “Amen to that.” The worst part was when she was honest with the other person to let them know that it just wasn’t working out. The feign of insult on their looks and their fake interest to quote on quote be better next time just to be reminded how bad it had gone down the first time -- literally. Now she was entering a whole new chapter with someone, that she did care for but it didn’t erase the fear and unreasonable fears that went through her head. Not to mention that her father’s betrayal had done everything but help that. “Then you’re thinking of bar sex cause unless you’re thinking of taking his bar cart with him doubt he will be serving you drinks all night at your house,” she pointed out before glancing over at the male, she was allowed to look, right? “You should just get a plugin one.” 

“You could do that. Besides I would just give you the friend discount.” Thankfully she had been kept busy by the outpouring of orders in this town as well as neighboring ones as well. Somehow she felt like she had been kissed by an angel because it all happened right after she got out of under her father’s thumb. Majo had been the first kid to do just that, out here living with no trust fund and living within her budget. “True but sometimes I wonder if I am going to run into an Annabelle or Chucky situation,” the woman watched way too many horror films as her statement clearly indicated that. “That would be an amazing trip. Been wanting to go there myself -- there and Panama,” she could tell that the woman wasn’t going to openly state why she needed to get away from their town. Which made her debate if she should truly thread the line, “Any reason for a getaway so far away?”

D. SIMSEK.

               If a friend came to her, needing a hand, then of course she was willing to lend exactly that; granted she was able to at the time. Today was one of those circumstances. Majo pleading for some assistance in grabbing bits at the local hardware store, so she’d come along for the ride. So to speak. And, as the pair finally vacated the premise, the brunette had made headway to her friends vehicle, placing the items in her grasp into the vehicle. “That outta do it.” A shrug followed, wondering if they walked out with everything except the walls themselves.

              “You really need to stop trying to fatten me up.” It seemed as though it was always her reward for helping out, not that she needed as much, of course. “How ‘bout you let me get the coffee this time ‘round?” If she insisted on taking her out, the least she could do was offer it up once in a while. Unless she wanted a couple of free rounds at Effy’s bar, that is? Which again, she was more than happy to exchange.

               “Oh, and back to the spa thing — I hope for your sake, that you’re kidding.” Eyes widening slightly, eyebrow cocked in slight shock at the random suggestion. Again, the young woman wasn’t out to help herself in this situation. Her friend had needed her help, and that was about all there was to it. “I’m happy to do a spa day, but not on your purse strings.” A smirk soon followed, shaking the matter off. Hell, a couple of face masks and a pedicure would suffice back at her apartment.

There was never a doubt that she could count on Effy on anything. Just felt that as of lately, especially within the past couple of years that Majo seemed to be more of a mess than anything and felt like a burden on her. Though as of the past two years she had been getting her act together. Had her own source of her income, was on the career track of her choosing and no longer living underneath the expectations that had never let her to grow. The cost had been high but if she was honest with herself it had been worth it completely. Especially after a day like today.

“It should -- I donated the entertainment stand to the owner as a payment for rent. You should’ve seen the plastic crap they had before.” It was expensive to decorate a house, especially if one looked for pieces online versus just making it themselves. But that also wasn’t as easy it seemed, not most people could dedicate three days to a piece like Majo could and often did. “pues estas muy flaca so that could be a why.” Not to mentioned that she must have gotten it from her grandmother that was always trying to push food even after she was full. God forbid that be an actual thing.

Once everything, and literally everything was placed in the trunk she closed it shut. Placing her keys in her bag, “I mean we can do fifty fifty? Then it can be a decent thing for both of us? Or just buy items and chill at one of our places. My roommate is out for a gig.” Or a sugar daddy trip, she couldn’t keep up anymore. “Perhaps you can fill me in about your life -- maybe any new developments in the love section?”
