Forgotten Coupon
The forgotten coupon frustration, face it, we've all done it. I got home from CVS and was marveling at my savings, when Bam it hit me, I forgot to use a coupon. That makes 3 trips in a row I've missed out on savings.
My total savings were 56%, but I could have saved an additional $2 with a CVS coupon that was mailed to me. The worst part, I had my coupon binder with me. All I had to do was check my CVS section.
It's funny how just 1 coupon can bother the heck out of me. I need to just let it go! I still saved over half.
So this trip was a success and I know the more I do this the better I will get at it. I really need to make sure I am checking my store coupons in addition to my manufacturer coupons and extra buck rewards coupons.
My advice: Don't beat yourself up over a forgotten coupon.

Subway
Today I went to Subway for lunch. I have enough points to get a free footlong next time I go. I just wanted to mention that I got my points card when the program first started years ago. I noticed on the bottom of my receipt today that if I registered my card online I would get an additional 20 points. By signing up for e-mails, I get even more offers. And the last sweet treat was a free cookie if I took a 1 minute survey. With all this free stuff coming my way, how can I go wrong. I Love Subway! What a Bargain :) The kids page on the website had a really cool free offer too. Get an exclusive Disney's Big Hero 6 bag and trading card with every kids meal.
Earn a 10 cents off per gallon instant reward when you register for a BP Driver Rewards card.
Another Rewards card. Get .10 off a gallon just for signing up and .05 off a gallon for every 2 fill-ups with a minimum purchase of 20 gallons. All rewards are good for 90 days after they are earned.
Free snack boxes
So my daughter and I decided to give a couple of those all natural snack box delivery trials a try. I signed up for Nibblr and Graze boxes. They both came when promised. The outside appearance of the Nibblr box was nice, the Graze box was plain on the outside, but the inside was very eye appealing and even whimsical the way the snacks are packaged. Nibblr was harder to open and the box was difficult to use.
With the Graze box, it opened up beautifully and the inside presentation was very nice. Graze even sent an ingredients list and nutritional information for each snack I got, coupons to refer friends, and a personalized note. The snacks in the Graze box I liked much better. The flavors, quality and appearance just were better.
So I am cancelling the Nibblr subscription and keeping the Graze Box. I enjoyed it so much I am actually looking forward to getting my next snack box :)
My new purse - what a bargain!
OK, so not everyone can wait for that awesome bargain to come along when they need something, but I just so happened along a great deal on a new purse, and face it, my old one was literally hanging on by strings.
Great colors for winter and plenty of room for all of my stuff (even winter gloves and scarf if I need it) The best part - the cost!
Regularly priced at $59.00, it was on sale 50% off, plus $10 savings off a $25.00 purchase in weekly circular and $10.00 off a $10.00 purchase mailer. So 8.99 for my new purse by APT.9 an 85% savings!
More Birthday Rewards
So today I spent hunting online for more great birthday rewards. I can't wait until next year. I should have so many freebies I should be able to eat out for every meal, free, make a couple of coffee trips, have a dessert, and hopefully more! Some of the finds today were at Uno's, Ruby Tuesday, Starbucks, Fuddruckers, Denny's, Red Robin and Au Bon Pain.
In addition to the Birthday freebies, they also send out special notifications, offers and discounts. Now that's a great deal :)

Earning extrabucks always makes me smile! I love my CVS. Of all the drugstores, I think that CVS is probably the least complicated when it comes to using coupons and earning rewards. In the past month, I have had quite a few successful trips that have saved me 51% 58%, 80% and even 100%.
My first free Nibble box from Graze. It was like opening a Christmas present, I had no idea what would be inside. To my delight I was pleased with the portion sizes, variety and the quality. I tried my first snack yesterday, fruit & seed flapjack, all I can say is wow! It was incredible. I can't wait to try the rest of the snacks in my box: white chocolate raspberry cheesecake, hot dog and jalapeno fiesta.
