Prompt 3

I'm currently watching all five of the Hunger Games series. I'm gonna research all of them and see how the themes change as the story goes on. Like the control of the Capitol and the rebellion from each of the characters. Every movie shows how they deal with the power and how they react to it. I also wanna look into the choices the characters make based on what situations they are in.

Each movie builds off one another. I also think it was so valuable having The Ballad of the Songbirds and Snakes incorporated into the series. It showed President Snow's power then versus now. It expands on how his character developed and is the way it is. It also explains the stories originality and shows a different side of it. Individuals started accepting the games as "normal" because they were safe. They turned a terrible event into amusement.

I'm excited to explore what other people think and to dive deeper into the meaning of this series. So far I've been agreeing with what I have seen, but hopefully will find something that'll make me think deeper. I'm gonna continue to post and repost pictures that relate to the Hunger Games and gain inspiration that can be used towards my Multimodal Microblogging Project.

Prompt 2

I'm still deciding which topic I wanna pick for my Multimodal Microblogging Project. I've considered The Summer I turned Pretty, Avatar, The Vampire Diaries, but right now I'm set on The Hunger Games. I've always loved these movies because they're exciting and so engaging. I'm always on the edge of my seat and they never bore me. They also have a lot of deeper meaning behind them like the people in power, and the unequal systems.

I could see myself working on this for the rest of the semester. There is so much to look into and find more about and that really excites me. I never liked these movies when I was younger but I think it was because I didn't understand the meaning behind it. Now that I'm older I am able to recognize and interpret things in the movies.

In this project I wanna look deeper into how our world is similar to their dystopian world. The way the government controls society and social media impacting what we see and believe. People in control try to stay in control and I think diving deeper into this is really worth researching.

Prompt 1

I wasn't familiar with Tumblr before we started this project. When we first made our accounts as a class I was really confused at first. I wasn't really sure what I was supposed to be searching and looking for. I tend to post and create content on Instagram, TikTok, VSCO, and other social media platforms. But after exploring this site I found a lot of tags and topics to engage with. I simply would just type any subject in the explore tab. I'm really in the fall and halloween mood right now so I've been searching for things like that. I've been looking at quotes and some shows that I am currently watching as well. I'm also into sky pictures so if I see any that I like I reblog it to my page.

Tumblr is very easy to navigate. I type whatever is on my mind into the search bar and it pops up with all types of things. I enjoy scrolling through all the quotes, pictures and videos. I like seeing what opinions people have on the things that interest me. It's good to see different POV's on that stuff.

Clearly, I'm excited to start researching and using Tumblr as a platform to build off of. I think it's a very interesting site and can't wait to look some more!
