Contemporary dance is a form of storytelling. I have learned that when choreographing a contemporary dance, you have to get in the mind of the dancer that will be telling the story. It is important that the choreographer knows the strengths and weaknesses of the dancer so that the story is told correctly to the audience. I agree with this and would like to learn more about choreographing and what goes into creating meaningful dances. I hope to learn more about the art aspect of dance and to analyze some different dances to understand the story being told and the purpose of it.

I’ve watched The Summer I Turned Pretty multiple times and I’ve really enjoyed it. I love how the director made me feel connected to the characters and their memories. One of the things that stood out to me most was how the show uses nostalgia. It’s not just about telling a love story, it's about looking back on summers that felt magical, emotional, and unforgettable. The warm colors, music, and Belly’s memories all help create that feeling of longing for the past.
What interests me is how the characters, especially Belly, hold on to these memories and how they affect the choices they make. I want to explore whether this nostalgia is helping them grow or if it’s actually holding them back from moving forward. Does remembering the “perfect” summer make it harder for them to change?
As I start researching and joining the conversation online, I’ve seen people talk about the show as a comforting, feel-good story. While I agree with that, I also think there’s more going on. I feel nostalgia in the show might not always be positive. Sometimes it hides pain or makes characters avoid dealing with real problems. I’m interested in how this idea plays out in the show and what it says about how we all look back on the past.

I’m most interested in the fact that the games in FIFA always include every country and every club in the world. It’s always amazing that one sport can bring people from every country in the world. As far as I know, when it comes to games, it’s competitive and you can create your team from scratch. You start off as the lowest rating at the start and work your way up by having you play matches online or play against computer players. As long as you're doing your objectives, you can get packs and with packs you can get players. But it’s really hard to get players that are of high value. That's what makes the game addictive. It’s exciting when you open packs because you never know who you’ll get. Sometimes you’re lucky, but most of the time it pushes you to keep playing. As your team improves, winning matches starts to feel more rewarding. You can see your progress over time. FIFA is also fun because you can play with friends or compete online. It brings people together through football. In the end, it’s not just about playing a game. It’s about building your team, improving, and enjoying the challenge.

The book I will be looking at for my research paper is “Maus” by Art Spiegelman. I know the book goes into themes of generational trauma from living with a parent who survived the horrors of the holocaust. I want to explore how dealing with the challenges inherent in generational trauma can not only be overcome, but make us more understanding, caring, and emotionally intelligent people despite our flaws (and challenges along the way). Some of the other people I want to make connections to with this work are Dr. Gabor Mate and Dr. Viktor Frankl. Both of these physicians felt the effects of the holocaust either directly or indirectly and wrote about their experiences. Both of these people have inspired and informed me on this topic in various and impactful ways. Hopefully I can draw some solid points from reading “Maus” and integrate aspects of the work throughout my paper.
As I have been starting my research, I have found out a lot. Many people within the Stardew valley community believe people who pick up the JoJo route are fans of larger companies. Many see Stardew valley as a representation of America and the fight of large almost monopoly level companies and small chain or family-owned businesses. I agree with this statement, The difference between shopping locally and shopping from large chain stores are very different cultures both in America and in Stardew valley. This part of Stardew Valley culture is what interests me the most. I will join the scholarly world through looking more into their research and starting my own.

I'm currently watching all five of the Hunger Games series. I'm gonna research all of them and see how the themes change as the story goes on. Like the control of the Capitol and the rebellion from each of the characters. Every movie shows how they deal with the power and how they react to it. I also wanna look into the choices the characters make based on what situations they are in.
Each movie builds off one another. I also think it was so valuable having The Ballad of the Songbirds and Snakes incorporated into the series. It showed President Snow's power then versus now. It expands on how his character developed and is the way it is. It also explains the stories originality and shows a different side of it. Individuals started accepting the games as "normal" because they were safe. They turned a terrible event into amusement.
I'm excited to explore what other people think and to dive deeper into the meaning of this series. So far I've been agreeing with what I have seen, but hopefully will find something that'll make me think deeper. I'm gonna continue to post and repost pictures that relate to the Hunger Games and gain inspiration that can be used towards my Multimodal Microblogging Project.

In my opinion, the show euphoria is more than just a show to watch because it shows real life events that happen every single day. Some questions that I have that I look forward to being answered are how they make it so teenagers can relate to it so much especially in today’s world with everything going on in the world. Something that is very fascinating to me in the show is how it kind of blurs out the line between realism and the exaggeration. I know that it shows the visuals of drug use by using things such as glitter, and the neon lights that are involved. Another question I have is are teens connecting to the show emotionally with the bitter honesty or are they drawn to the show because of the fantasy of the way that they explain the pain. I will join the scholarly conversation online by using the questions I have and doing the research to prove that the show is such a good thing to have around because of its raw honesty and how it makes teens connect with it so much because of the mental disorders, addictions, and relationship issues. I agree with mostly everything that I have researched so far because I do think that some people could take the show the wrong way but I also believe that it’s a good thing because so many people are able to relate to it.
