tumblr mirrors on ‘photosugar’

So idk if others have noticed this before - but it’s the first time I’m seeing this, hence the post.

There’s a website, https://www.photosugar.com, which apparently mirrors all pictures, gifsets etc. people post on their tumblrs (and also other social media sites like twitter and instagram, if I understand it correctly). An eample for a tumblr user, with my name: https://www.photosugar.com/tu/lordhellebore

Now it won‘t turn up anything but a 404 error in my case, because I sent an e-mail to the contact address, which is [email protected] with the title “My content on your website”:

Hello, it’s come to my attention that you are mirroring all of the posts containing pictures/gifs that I post on my tumblr. I am asking you to stop pulling the content from my tumblr and to delete me from your website. tumblr username is „lordhellebore“ Thank you.

I got a reply consisting of the single word “removed” after just one day, and as you can see, it worked perfectly fine with the informal mail I sent. So if you want them to stop mirroring your tumblr, it seems all you really need to to is this.

I can’t test the site for all of my mutuals, but I’m tagging a few whom I found on there by random trial & error, and I suggest you look yourself up if you see this post and dislike tumblr mirrors (even if this one is only for pictures, not text).

How was it doing the narration for the latest episode of Lucifer? How do you feel about the cancellation? Did you ever notice that your voice is somewhat similar to Tom Ellis', just more gravelly?

It was really fun. I had to learn how to do it very fast (ie. on the job). Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich were in LA, I was in a studio in London, listening to them on headphones. In front of me was a TV screen, with flashing lines converging on it to tell me the moment at which to begin my line, and knowing how fast I had to deliver the lines to land where I needed to be at the end. It would take me three or four takes, usually, to get a reading that everyone was happy with, including me. We had three hours booked, and I was done in about 90 minutes, so I was happy.

And at that point the series had already been cancelled, so there was a mixture of regret in it, and hope, as the outpouring of love from the show’s fans was enormous.

I was trying to put a little of Tom-Ellis-As-Lucifer into my voice, not so much that I was doing an impression of him, but enough that it might sound like a family relationship. I’m glad it worked.

As you all may (sadly) know by now, Lucifer was unfortunately cancelled by FOX which really sucks but as we all saw with fellow FOX cancel-ee Brooklyn Nine-Nine, it is possible to get the show picked up elsewhere, and after a finale like that, we NEED this show to continue! So here’s a basic masterpost on what we can all do to help save our show!

TWEET STREAMING SERVICES/OTHER NETWORKS

It takes about thirty seconds to send a tweet to streaming services such as NETFLIX or HULU or other networks like THE CW (home to a host of other DC shows), NBC or CBS to let them know if they were to pick the show up, they’d have a guaranteed future subscriber. What company wouldn’t like to hear they have guaranteed money coming? And while you’re on Twitter…

SEND A TWEET TO WARNER BROS & JERRY BRUCKHEIMER

Tom Ellis himself sent out a tweet letting us all know the #SaveLucifer is being heard by Warner Bros and JBFilms. So right after you’re done letting Netflix/Hulu/Amazon know how much you would love for them to pick the show up, send a quick one to those two as well!

Make sure with any tweet you send out to include the tags #SaveLucifer and #PickupLucifer! Also please be polite and respectful when sending your tweets to companies/people. We’ll catch more bees with honey, guys!

STREAM THE SHOW

As far as I know, Hulu is the only streaming service where ALL episodes of Lucifer are available. If Hulu sees a huge spike in streams of the episodes, who’s to say they won’t consider picking up the show?

SPREAD THE WORD

Above all, none of this will work if #SaveLucifer isn’t visible. So make sure to make your pleas visible! Spread the word. Tell a friend. Tell a neighbor. Tell your mailman. IT DOESN’T MATTER JUST MAKE SURE PEOPLE KNOW WE LOVE THE SHOW AND REALLY WANT IT TO CONTINUE!

If anyone has any other ideas feel free to send them in to us but until then, let’s show FOX what a huge mistake they made and show other networks/streaming services what a huge fanbase they’d be inheriting! Good luck! 😈
