Anyone know what this palette is called? I need it đ
So Iâm sorry this is a little late everyone but I have been super busy working on my âthingâ which will be reviled at the end of this weeks blog post. August is usually an eventful month for me so when it comes to beauty I usually just slap anything in my face then input the house. But, last month I tried my hardest to do my makeup nicely in a morning and a full skin care routine at night so this should be a little bit more interesting than my July favourites.
Iâm going to be writing this a little different then I did last time and instead of doing it in separate paragraphs Iâm going to do it all in one. Let me know if you prefer it like this or in paragraphs and I will whatever suits your preference! Letâs get started, My favourite this month is something that isnât actually beauty related, itâs my Yankee Candle in âCranberry Iceâ. I absolutely love this candle it reminds me so much of Christmas (like this if you excited for Christmas!) and if you guys didnât know I L.O.V.E Christmas so so so much! Next I have a body scrub from Jack Wills and this is just amazing. It scrubs away any dry skin that is left on my body and leaves me feeling so smooth and soft. Oh, and it smells really good too! Now I have my favourite of the favourites this month (did that make sense? Oh well you get me!) It is my lush chocolate cupcake face mask. I have gotten through about 5 or 6 tubs of this just in this year purely because it is amazing. This is definitely my favourite lush face mask because firstly I love the smell and secondly is leaves my skin so fresh and clean, itâs just an amazing product so well done lush! Last month was a pretty productive month for me and I feel like I started to get more into using face masks and oil remedies that really made my skin look so much better. I also started to take more care when doing my makeup and one of the things I used everyday was the Mac prep and prime spray. This is the perfect thing for when you need a full coverage makeup look that wonât fall off throughout the day and all you have to do is give for face a couple of sprits, wait for it to dry and then your ready to go. I would definitely recommend this if you find that your makeup falls off a lot and doesnât stay on throughout the day. Finally my last favourite this month is a little bit different, it Fiji water. Now your probably all thinking what is she talking about waters water right? Well I started to drink this water in August just because I thought it looked really pretty. Then after drinking it a few times I went back to my normal water (Buxton, if you were wondering) and I didnât like the taste as much. It may sound odd to you but I could really taste the difference. Also in August we had a little bit of sun where I live so I got really dry skin, when I drink a bottle of water a day it really hydrates my skin and really helps me get my natural glowing look back so my last favourite this month is water. Thank you so much for reading this and again Iâd like to apologise for not blogging last week, you were all so supportive and understanding so Iâd just like to again say thank you for the support. If you have any business enquires you can drop a message is my ask box or contact me at [email protected] Thatâs all from me for now, if you want my favourites to be a monthly thing then like this post and if you have any blogpost ideas make sure to tell me in the comments or through contacting me. Don't forget to give my blog a follow when your finished because I really do appreciate every single one of my followers.
Suffering from dry skin?
Trust me, your not the only one. Do not worry anymore as I have found the best tips and tricks to tame your dry skin and maybe even banish it for good.
This weeks blog post is in collaboration with ârosaquariumâ. Her link will be at the bottom so donât forget to check her blog and and give her a follow.
So now we have gotten my intro out of the way we can begin to get one step closer to making dry skin extinct. Letâs begin,
Tip 1.
Hydrate.â¨It is so important to hydrate anyway but if you have a bad case of dry skin drinking at least 2 litres of water a day will make a huge difference. Although it is important to hydrate often anyway I find that when I have a full water bottle I tend to want to finish it, so get a litre bottle and fill it up twice a day, That way you will know you have drank enough and your skin will be looking fine tomorrow.
Tip 2.
Donât use dried out products.â¨If you use products that you have had for more than a year they tend to class as dried out. This does not include concealers, foundation or moisturiser. If you use products like these they make your your skin turn dry and flaky and trust me this is not a good look!
Tip 3.
Use face masks.â¨Using face masks is not only a fun way of treating your dry skin but also a extremely beneficial one. However you donât have to go out and buy overpriced face masks that will only last you a few days because I have found a couple of recipes that I found super helpful and I am going to tell you the recipes for them.
1. Egg and Honey. Add one teaspoon of honey and one teaspoon of sunflower oil with the White of an egg in a small bowl and mix them well until they thicken. Spread the mixture of your face and leave it there for 15 minutes. After the time is up wash the mask off with warm water and your sorted.
2. Banana, Yoghurt and Honey. Put 2 fully ripe bananas, 1 tablespoon of honey and ½ cup of yogurt in a blender. Blend these natural ingredients together till they form a consistent paste. Smear the paste onto your face, leaving it there for about 20 minutes or until it dries out. Rinse your face with warm water.
If you donât have time to make a fresh face mask every week then you can always double or even triple the measurements and keep the excess in a small pot. Donât forget to keep it refrigerated though.
I hope this helps you all and if you donât have dry skin rosaquarium is doing a blog post for oily skin. Donât forget to give her a follow and read her blog post. I have a really big surprise coming and I am going to start giving hints to you guys in the next few posts. Thank you for your continuous support and I love you guys so much. Thatâs all for now, goodbye.

Q&A (Beauty Edition):
So firstly I would like to thank all of you for your support and for your participation to this Q&A. Apologies to the questions that werenât put into this Q&A but do not worry as I am already planning part two. Anyway so before we begin I have one more announcement to make, I am looking for someone to design a website for me and if you are interested leave me your details in my ask box (blog name, if it will be free etc.) and I will chose the designer that best fits my blog theme. So, now that I have rambled on long enough I think itâs time to get into the actual point of this blog! I hope you enjoy reading and hopefully this will answer some, if not all, of your questions!
âWhat is the best moisturizer for oily skin with slight acne?â
Well I did a little research and I found that the best moisturizers for your skin is the âBody Shop, Seaweed mattifying day creamâ I found this moisturizer to help oily areas but doesnât make you break out at all. This costs around ÂŁ12 or $17.50. Another, cheaper, option would be the âClean and Clear, Oil-Free moisturizerâ As it says in the name this moisturizer does not contain any oil at all and it did not make me break out. This moisturizer only cost me ÂŁ3.20 or $4.60 which is extremely cheap for a good moisturizer. I hope this helps you and thank you for participating in this Q&A.Â
âWhy do I get spots?!â
Sorry to disappoint you but I really do not know. Some people just get more spots than others. One thing I can suggest is not to try hundreds of different spot zappers and facial cleansers because of you use too many different products on your face it will give you even more spots. Also try not to apply makeup to areas where you get spots because that will just clog them up and make them even bigger. Thank you for participating and I hope this helps!
âWhat is your favourite foundation and why?â
I think my Favourite has to be my Mac studio fix (although I have just ordered Nars Sheer Glow and have heard good things about that). It is a perfect match to my skin and isnât too heavy. It gives a matte but shiny finish, if you know what I mean! It cost around ÂŁ25 or $24 so it is a little pricy but it doesnât make me break out in spots what so ever.
âIâm 13 years old and want to wear makeup, what should I buy?â
When I was thirteen I wore concealer, powder, mascara and foundation If I was going to a party or somewhere special. The best products for you to start of with would definitely be the collection lasting perfection concealer, the Rimmel stay matte powder and Collections no clumps mascara. If you want to wear foundation I suggest starting of with a BB cream so that you face can get used to makeup. Also you would probably need to invest in some good brushes, my favourites are the real techniques and the face set would be a good starter kit. Hope this helped you!
Thank you to everyone who participated in my Q&A beauty edition, sorry if your question hasnât been answered but I promise I will try my best to answer it next time! One more thing, I have just hit 250 followers and have a special blog post scheduled for next week! Goodbye.
Hello everybody, today I will be sharing my 5 favourite lip products for a perfect summer look so I hope you enjoy! If you have a favourite summer lip product donât forget to let me know in my ask âboxâ and I will probably give it a try! Let us beginâŚ
So to start us off I have a mac lipstick in the shade âShy Girlâ and this is a creme sheen. It is a pinky nude with orange undertones and is the perfect colour for your summer lips ! I would recommend this for fair, pale skin not for yellow under toned skin.
Next I have a Topshop lipstick in the shade âMacaroonâ and this is a brighter pink with a slight shimmer in it. I usually pair this with a gold smokey eye and full on contour. Now I know this is supposed to be my top 5 lipsticks but I couldnât leave this out!
My Nars lipgloss has been my ultimate favourite this summer in the shade 'Deep Throatâ and I usually put this over any of the other lip products shown in the images just to add a little bit of sparkle !
Now we will move onto my next favourite summer lip product and that is a Rimmel, Kate Moss lipstick in the shade, 103. I absolutely adore this lipstick! It gives a matte finish and is so good for a natural summer look.
Finally we have my FAVOURITE of all⌠My mac lipstick (yes another one!) in the shade Creme d'nude from the limited edition wash and dry collection. This is also a creme sheen lipstick and really moisturises and softens your lips. It doesnât wear away and would probably suit all tones of skin! Definitely give this one a try above all the others!
I really hope you enjoyed reading this and by the way I just hit 200 followers which is so amazing, thank you all so so so much! ByeâŚ
So as you can probably tell from the image these are my Top Five Beauty Hacks. I hope this makes your lives easier, letâs beginâŚ
1. Turning a eyeliner pencil into a gel liner.
So I think this is probably my favourite of the five because it just makes applying liner so much easier. Here is how to do it. â¨You are going to need a eyeliner pencil (duh!) and a lighter. All you need to do is simply put your liner over the flame for 1 second and then leave it to cool for about 10 more seconds. After that is should glide right on just like a gel liner would!
2. Re-use your favourite mascara wand.
Now if your a true makeup fan you definitely have your favourite mascara wand right? But it may not be part of your favourite mascara product. Thatâs where this hack comes handy. All you need to do is keep your favourite wand, give it a clean with a makeup wipe and voila! You are ready to use in your favourite mascara!
3. Creating the perfect eyeshadow look.
Have ever tried to create a winged eyeshadow look but ended up applying it in a giant mess? Well donât worry anymore for I have a trick that is going to turn your mess into perfection. All you need is a debit card or tape. Put the card/tape where the wing will end and apply the shadow. When you take away the card/tape you will have a perfect line!
4. Curl your lashes easier.
If you have an eyelash curler you know that you have to hold down on your lashes for a little while before they actually curl but now with this hack I have found! What you need to do is blow your curlers with heat for 10-20 seconds and then leave them to cool down a bit. When they have cooled down a bit more use them and you will find that the heat curls them more quickly than no heat would do.
5. Using curlers to apply eyeliner.
If you struggle to get your eyeliner on your lash line this is a perfect hack for you! Put as little or as much liner on the metal part of the curlers then act as if you are going to curl your lashes. When you release you will find the the liner has transferred onto you lid and looks like the perfect eyeliner!
I hope these hacks help you guys, I know they helped me! Thank you so so so much for reading, donât forget to like and follow. There is one more thing Iâd like to say and itâs that I have opened the ask âboxâ so if you have a any questions donât be afraid to ask! Bye!
July Favourites~ So itâs time for my monthly favourites. This blog consists of my most used products of July and also some sneaky tips discovered during this month. So get your cup of coffee, grab a plate of biscuits and enjoy reading!
Nivea Rich Moisturising Day Cream:
So during the month of July i had probably the worst case of dry skin that iâd ever had. My face was peeling and it was horrible, but then i found this. I had previously tried one of Niveaâs moisturisers but it did nothing for my skin. I was walking around Bootâs looking at the moisturisers and i heard a lady recommending it to her friend who also had dry skin. After they had left i went over to take a look and I though iâd give it a go. Seriously, this is one of the best moisturisers I have ever used and iâm not joking so if you suffer from dry skin give this a go it is so worth it!
The White Company, Wild Mint, Large Candle:
Now I am sure you have all heard or seen this candle before so I wonât go into to details but, WOW. That is all I can really say! I was given this candle as a christmas present but never lit it until that day when it rained terribly in July. I put in next to my bed, lit it and went downstairs but when I came back up I smelt the most beautiful, strong smell and i realised it was the candle. I donât really know how to describe it other than a strong Wild Minty scent. (Donât diss me I am really bad at describing things!) This candle will probably last me for ever but I think it is a little too pricey for me to repurchase, definitely a good gift though!
Nars Purifying Foam Cleanser:
Now i did a short review on this a couple days ago on a reblog so there isn;t much more to say. It is a liquid cleanser with little balls inside to exfoliate and this cleanser is perfect for my skin. I have really noticed a difference since i have started using it so yeah! Iâs really really good!
Mac studio Fix powder foundation:
I recently purchased this when me and my family went to florida and haven;t stopped using it since! It was my swear by powder in July and I don;t think a day passed without me using it. It leaves a subtle but effective finish and is highly pigmented. I also found it matched my tan colour perfectly in July.
Urban Decay, Naked basics 2:
So as you all know I really do love my Stila palette but this comes and extremely close second. I actually purchased this palette because I couldnât get the Stila one but thatâs another story. I went travelling quite a bit in July and preferred to take this one with me as it fits into my purse/make up bag easier as it is smaller and I found that i just opted for this one more than my Stila palette. The colours are absolutely stunning neutral colours perfect for the summer look!
Roller Lash:
Guys, I have found my favourite makeup product ever! It amazing! I didnât use another mascara in July and I ended up having to buy another one of these as I used and dried it out. It is the best mascara i have come across and is not too bad of a price. It has a curled wand perfect for curly lashes and really lengthens and volumizes your lashes. I definitely recommend this mascara to everyone.
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer:
Iâm sure you have all heard of this before but iâm going to ramble on about it anyway! It has amazing, and i;m not lying, coverage and is so silky. In July I found myself reaching for this more than ever and iâm pretty sure i had to repurchase it twice! It is a perfect match for my skin and doesnât fall of during the day. Again it is highly pigmented and blends so smoothly. That is actually all I can say. It is just amazing and it doesnât cost much at all so if you are looking for a really good drugstore concealer get this one!
So, I hope you enjoyed reading through my favourites I sure know I liked writing this. Donât forget to follow and like if you want me to make this a monthly thing! Btw guys, i am so grateful that my latest review got over 140 notes! That is amazing! Love you allâŚ

Review~
Stila, Eyes are the window, Soul
âsince love grows within you, so beauty grows. For love is the beauty of the soulâ ~ Saint Augustine
Todayâs blog post will be on the Stila palette in the shade âSoulâ.You can use the shadows wet or dry but i wouldnât suggest using a damp brush as they can create a hardened surface on the top that youâll have to remove if you want to use the eyeshadow again. I think that there is definately an improvement from'Bodyâ but it still is a little powdery. It contains 4 luxurious matte shades and 8 shimmer/frost shades. I saw this palette online and instantly knew I wanted it, however I had a slight problem. There is no Sephora in England and I had seen no where else that I could buy it. Luckily for me and my family went to Florida in April and I managed to grab it. When I got to the shop I umâd and arâd whether to get âSoulâ or 'Spiritâ but in the end I opted for Soul as I found the shades more suited to my skin and what I suit in general. Including taxes the palette cost me $49.99 or ÂŁ31.99 in English money. The product is quite expensive but definitely worth the money as the shades are so beautiful and extremely pigmented.
So, Letâs start with the packaging. It is an elegant and sofistication mixture of gold and rose gold. Rose gold is my favourite colour and definately have a impact on my choice althgough it has nothing to do with the eyeshadows. However, I found that the colours matched the shadows and made the product look tidy and not like it had been designed by a two year old. It has a huge mirror which is perfect for travelling or re-applying in public and is not a giant palette so would fit perfectly in a purse/bag. Also included inside is a booklet with three different shadow looks with step by step insructions below which is really good for first time users.
Now letâs get onto the actual product inside, as i have written before it contains 4 matte shades and 8 simmer/frost shades leaving 12 in total. The names of all 12 shades are:
Light Being Kitten Affection Character Thought Heart Peace Vitality Substance Essence Individual
I mostly use kitten (the first one on the second row) for my brow bone and inner corner of my eye as it gives a perfect shine and great definition. For my base i use Individual (the middle one on the top row) or Hear (the middle one on the third row). Each of them have great pigmentation and suit my skin tone and eye colour but can be powdery if applied too heavily. When appling to my creas i like to mix Essence (the black one) and Being (the third one on the top row) beacuse when mixed together they creat a beautiful dark brown with a small amount of shimmer and create a perfect crease. When applying my eyeshadow i use the Real Techniques eye set and put a bit of my Porefessional by Benefit underneath as a primer. If you donât have a primer a suggest putting a little bit of concealer underneath would help and keep the shadows on for alot longer.
Over all I think the product is definately worth the money because you get alot of product inside and the shades are so pigmented and donât fall off through out the day. The warm neautral shades would suit just about any body and is trans-seasonal which helps get your moneys worth. This palette will last you years and i would definately recommend this to every eye shadow lover out there.
Thats all from me for now but i will be posting more soon. Hope this helps and you decide to get this palette. Bye!
