for starters , it’s probably best to get your backstory ironed out first and foremost so the rest of your scripting experience goes more fluidly . are you just like me and have an awful case of needing to be a princess syndrome ? if so , zoom in on the fine details of that ! are you a descendant of a line of nobility from fontaine or mondstadt ? do you want to create an entirely separate and new region that functions on a monarchy and your born into the current ruling family ?
or do you want to go the complete opposite ? be something like the traveler , a free roaming adventurer that isn’t tied down to one nation , constantly going with the flow like a dandelion fluttering in the wind . if so , what’s your income source ? do you regularly visit the adventurers' guild to get info on bounties ? do you occasionally help local businesses by doing fun little tasks across the town for them in return for mora ?
once that's done and dusted , you could veer more into your personality and how you are n whatnot . do you tend to get along with lots people easily and leave behind a trail of friends every nation you step foot in ? or are you typically reserved , sticking to your close knit group of a few very trusted friends ? does anything about you , be it your appearance or prowess or clothing or status , tend to draw in attention from those around you ? or do you pass by like a shadow , blending into the background like a chameleon ꒰ which could come in very handy if you were a member of the fatui LOLLL ꒱

this is my favourite form of scripting bc it's a rly easy way to visualize and immerse yourself into what your dr would look like . lucky for us genshin shifters , there’s a loooooooot of game visuals found on the genshin fan wiki page , things ranging from fashion worn in each nation to what the foods look like . you can either add those pics to your script , or like i do , just script via adding pics to a dedicated pinterest board for your dr and call it a day LOLLLLLLLLLLLLL . things like what clothing is in your closet , the hairstyle you’re most often found in , jewellery pieces that catch your eye , so on and so forth . the possibilities are endless over on pinterest bahahajdfhsdhgj
also !!! for more cosmetic / vanity purposes , hone in on the specifics of your closet in your script !!!! are you constantly draped in lavish fabrics ? do you just stick to an ol’ reliable outfit that miraculously never ever tears or stains despite the arduous weather or conditions it’s seen ?

as mentioned above , if you’re anything like aether/lumine you’ll probably come face to face with hilichurls more often than not , do you want it to go with canon where they effectively perish once slain or do you wanna go the batman route where you don’t kill them but knock them out ? Also do you have a vision ? Are you able to travel freely between nations via the teleport waypoints or are you a regular citizen that has to travel through horseback or sea T^T ?
also foooood !!!!! this is a very biased take hehe but i'd rec. scripting in that all the food tastes as good ꒰ if not better ꒱ as it looks ! you could also add in that youo’re always served with really great customer service and always leave with nothing but good things to say abt the dining establishment you were just in
suuuuuuuuuuuuper optional, but for more world building you can script in what weather is prone to what nation . is fontaine rainier than natlan ? does mondstadt experience more windy seasons than inazuma ? etc. etc. you could even go as far as to script in if / what natural disasters could occur , bc as far as the game goes i'm not sure it’s ever mentioned apart from like the whole wind storm thing with dvalin in mondstadt T^T i just find it fun to think of what sort of specific weather patterns would look like in teyvat that aren't in-game LOLLL

And to end it off with basic safety things , yk the usual if you’re constantly in combat you’re never injured to a debilitating point , you’re never constantly in any true perilous danger ( and if you find yourself in a tight spot , you can’t die T T ) , your combat skills are better than stellar , you know how to wing glide LOLLLL

This is is what I did the time when I was closer to shifting (I'm currently in a break, since like a week after that attempt), and it's also how many people shift.
It's actually pretty simple. I'm going to explain it in steps to make it even easier to understand, although it's not supposed to be a step by step method.
LAY DOWN AND RELAX: Breath deeply, meditate, count your heartbeats... do whatever it works for you. take a few minutes, till your mind is as calm as possible.
IMAGINE: Start imagining the exact place where you'll wake up. It's not necessary to visualise, I personally don't do it. I just imagine everything in first person as I were there. If you feel like it, try adding more and more details, like the breathing of your roomies, the texture of your clothes, etc. However, this is optional.
THINK AS YOUR DR SELF: What are you doing tomorrow? What's that thing you can't forget to do? Do you have to finish your homework? Think in first person, as you were you other self. Daily basic things. Think what s normal person would think before going to sleep.
ENJOY BEING THERE IN IMAGINATION: Once you've imagined it, you're there. So, go on, enjoy it.
That's basically all. It's not a method. You don't have to do it in order. You don't have to remember the steps. Do it naturally, enjoy the process. Do what you feel like to do.
I'm going to tell you the KEY to this.
FORGET YOU'RE TRYING TO SHIFT. Focus on the 4d (imagination) to the point you don't remember you're not there, but attempting to shift there.
And remember, it's not a step by step method (it's like the fourth time i say it i know), but more of a "do what you feel" method. So do it in the order you like the most. If you rather first start thinking as your DR self, do it. If you rather mix imaginacion and thoughts, you're free to do it. The important thing, is that you feel there, and forget you are (not) there, but you are attempting to shift to that place.

꒰ HEARING ꒱ — bamboo wind chimes, swaying trees, & a symphony of birds
୭ the first sense that i experience when shifting is always sound. in other realities, i'm often privy to the voices of those i love or the excited yips of the family dog. here, however, i'm met with something much more tranquil.
୭ the very nature of my desired reality is set on the basis of a recent, unwanted year long departure, and my unsealing leaves me in a place only semi recognizeable.
୭ i am immediately soothed by the gentle knocking of a set of bamboo wind chimes, whose movements are no doubt conducted by spring's welcoming breeze. the society of leaves and branches dance along, inviting its inhabitants— the orchestra of singing birds— to join in and put on a performance seemingly just for me.
꒰ SIGHT ꒱ — traditional shrines, baby blue skies, & a familiar face
୭ the campus of jujutsu tech is notorious for its older, unkempt buildings tucked away within the vast radius of its woodland barrier. i wake up in what could only be one of the small shrines, laying flat on my back with a good view of the ceiling. the wooden structure is weathered, having most likely been sitting here for well over a century, but its lack of modernity is not unwelcome. there's a strange sense of nostalgia that these forgotten places evoke.
୭ by tilting my head forward, a landscape of thriving nature comes into view because grass is always greener on the other side. it’s so vibrant, so full of life in a way that fills me with childlike wonder. although what comes a few minutes later may take me by surprise initially, i know deep down that the rekindling of a paused friendship is just what i need to start my day.
୭ the surrounding area has its own signature fragrance, one reminiscent of spring and blooming opportunities. it’s crisp and refreshing, offering a unique blend of all that which effortlessly awakens the senses. my own hand picked signature scent wafts up from where i had once applied it, pulling me further into familiarity.
꒰ TOUCH ꒱ — unsanded wood, 5lb boots, & a stiff school uniform
୭ beneath my fingertips is the unmistakable texture of unsanded planks of wood, making my back uncomfortable the longer i lie there. i’m acutely aware of the way my clothes drape over my body, from the suffocating collar of my dress shirt and uniform jacket to my sheer tights, which are no doubt ripped in a few places. my docs feels strangely heavy when i do eventually stand up, but they work wonders in grounding me (literally) to the onslaught of senses bubbling around me.
꒰ TASTE ꒱ — unspoken words ready to spill
୭ i’ve never quite been able to hold back when it comes to speaking my mind, and here it’s no different. the taste of words on my tongue are honeyed, only sticking for a moment before they finally let loose.
i , assume.
this is the whole thing. everything else is decoration. assume what you want is already real. not coming, not pending, not "in progress." real. here. done. the moment you assume it, it exists. there is no gap between thought and reality.
ii , persist.
this is where most people trip. they assume, then check the mirror every five minutes, looking for signs, looking for proof. but a mirror reflects what you believe to be true, not what you’re begging to see. you persist in the assumption. not because you’re forcing anything, but because you understand this is how reality works. you wouldn’t assume gravity is real, then spend the rest of the day doubting it. same rules apply.
iii , let it unfold.
no micromanaging. no checking the tracking number. no pacing back and forth wondering if you did it right. assumption is not about force. it is not about effort. it is not a request. assume, persist, and let reality adjust. it always does.
. . . but what then?
iv , live it.
you don’t wait for confirmation to breathe. you don’t wait for a written notice that the sky is still in place. stop waiting. start being. reality does not need you to second-guess it. it already knows what to do. assume, persist, and step into it.

THE BAG — my every day bag, as of right now, is the coach soho signature bag. she may look small but she is mighty… and stretched out with love! it has become almost like a locker for things that sam and dean need, like weapons & badges.

angel blade — thanks to my good friend castiel, he stole gifted me an angel blade as a means of protection. just don’t tell sam or dean i have it.
lighter, holy water, & salt in a vial — you never know what you might run into, i learned that the hard way. i always carry my trusty lighter that i got from some backwater town’s thrift store, a vial i stole from bobby filled with salt, and a flask filled with holy water.
tarot cards — first used as a party trick/a way to pass time with friends, the cards are now used for insight or guidance. when dean stumbled upon them for the first time, he called me a witch.. for a week.
compact mirror — since we’re constantly on the go, i use my little mirror to fix up my makeup or to check for any facial injuries. it comes in handy when we’re dealing with ghouls.
claw clip & hair ties — just a way to pull up my hair if we’re chasing something or if it keeps annoying me.
makeup bag — filled with lip products, powders, mascara, eyelash curler, perfume, and anything else that i need.
wallet — self explanatory, i need a place to store my money. there’s also a photobooth strip of me and my friends.
digital camera — i like to take photos of everything and anything, from dean inhaling a burger to a pretty little sunset. once again, comes in handy when we’re dealing ghouls, especially shapeshifters.
fbi badge — you never know when you’ll need to pull out the ‘we’re fbi’ card, so i keep an extra in my bag.
hairbrush — found it in a thrift store and thought it was cute/ironic, seeing as i’m an archangel’s vessel.
gum — just to freshen up when we’re out for a whole day. a victim to the winchesters’ grabby hands & almost killed cas.
ipod & headphones — my holy grail for long drives or when i need to block out any annoying noise (ehm, dean).
sunglasses — the sun is public enemy no. 1 for me, so i have to always carry my sunnies that are, of course, chanel.

i love how this turned out, i’m proud of myself 😊 lowkey inspired by my creative mutual @miaojune’s post, even if it’s not similar at all 😭 i just loved the ‘hi fairytale vogue’ and my mind immediately went to make a vogue what’s in my bag so i did (hence the ‘hunter’s vogue)! if some of these things didn’t exist in or make sense for 2009/10 just pretend it does!!!!
