"In a world where covid is killing and disabling us, masking is an act of love. For yourself, for your community, for our future."
anywayyy i will not be made to feel crazy or delusional for believing that people shouldn’t have to earn their place in the world. that everybody should be afforded dignity, even beauty, and life, regardless if they have ‘worked hard’ or checked a box or not. regardless of who they are and where they are born. the laziest person in the world is not less deserving of happiness than the most hardworking person. deserving means nothing. free your mind of the idea of deserving and you will begin to be able to think!!
having 40 minutes to leave the house is terrible because 40 minutes is basically 30 minutes and 30 minutes is basically 20 minutes and 20 minutes is basically fifteen seconds. but 50 minutes? 50 minutes is an hour, and an hour? ooobh thats plany off time
I am good. I am loved.
without arts & crafts we are in hell
some things are your fault and some are not and actually it doesn’t matter either way because you have to deal with all of it anyways
you all aren't gonna like hearing this but I'll say it anyway: one of the most impactful acts of feminism you could possibly do in your everyday life is to wear a mask in public spaces.
why? women are 31% more likely to develop long covid. and with one in five covid infections leading to long covid, that means a whole lot of women are being affected. besides, even when it's a man who's disabled by the virus, who is typically left to do the caregiving work? a woman in his life.
you can directly save women in your community from this fate by stopping the chain of transmission. why wouldn't you do it?
and before you come at me with "I wear a mask when I'm sick," about 44% of covid infections are asymptomatic. you could feel totally fine and still be spreading disease like typhoid mary. also, wearing a well-fitted respirator will protect you from getting sick too, and you can't spread what you don't have.
put your money where your mouth is. mask-wearing = feminist praxis.
not an apologizer but a contextualizer. yes the character did that but please understand the Circumstance. yes they had other options but they had to make this choice in a sea of available bad choices. and also it made the narrative more interesting. won't anybody think about the narrative!!!!!
ever since I was little I knew I’d have my jaw clenched forever
You won’t always make the right decision! So what! It’s not enough reason to hate yourself! Bitch!
"who cares" is a banishment spell
The us and israel and, to a lesser extent now, Britain and France and other colonial powers, can just push a button and kill you or completely upend your way of life. And 20 New York Times “journalists” get deployed immediately to explain why that needed to happen
This one resonated with me
